Holly is a fantastic photographer and we would recommend her to anyone in a heartbeat! We first reached out to Holly to ask if she would be able to take some last-minute engagement photos, and to ask if she was available for our upcoming wedding. She quickly responded and accommodated us for our engagement photoshoot the following week! My husband and I had never taken professional photographs before, but during our session, Holly guided us through all of the poses and made us both feel very comfortable and at ease, and you can tell from the photos! Her photos really showcase how much fun we had during the photoshoot (including my husband who normally hates taking photos!) and how much love we have for each other – her cues allowed us to both look and feel like ourselves, and the photos turned out more incredible than we could have ever imagined! After seeing the photos, I told my husband “I can’t believe we look this good!” Holly has a great eye for photography and her editing skills make the already great photos look gorgeous. After our positive experience in working with Holly for our engagement shoot, we booked her for our wedding day. From helping me pick out my shoes and rings the morning of the wedding to keeping me sane and relaxed the entire day despite some hiccups at the venue, Holly was absolutely amazing and so wonderful to work with throughout our wedding day. Her calming presence, humor, and professionalism made the day go by seamlessly and it felt like Holly was an extension of our own family. We feel so lucky to have found her. My entire family loved her as well and were so happy that she was our wedding photographer.

Holly was amazing to work with for our wedding photos! We had only met on an initial phone call and filled out a questionnaire prior to the wedding day, but when she showed up I felt like I had known her for a while, she made us feel very comfortable and relaxed. We hired Holly as our photographer for our engagement photoshoot, as well as for our wedding at the Roostertail on 9/23/2023. Her photography is unmatched - so beautiful! She is truly an artist. I was very thankful for her flexibility the day of the wedding, as we had a few vendors fall through the morning of the wedding so the timeline got shifted around a bit in regards to transportation - she easily adapted and provided me with some emotional support. Choosing our photographer was probably the most difficult decision after choosing our venue -- and I am so glad that we were able to have Holly capture our day! I was drawn to the elegance of her portfolio and her attention to light and emotion, and the photos she took of our day demonstrate that same artistry. Holly was our photographer for both our engagement photos and wedding photos. She is amazing and I would highly recommend to everyone to book her! For people who don't like to be photographed, she made us feel so comfortable and made the process so easy. She is very organized and professional and made sure to get our "must-have" shots and took extra time to get shots that we would liked but not needed. I got married two weeks ago and hired Green Holly Photography to capture all aspects of the celebration. Simply put, you NEED Holly on your vendor team. So incredibly talented!!! Holly created a perfect timeline for our wedding day. All pictures were done quickly and efficiently with our large bridal party (10 groomsmen/10 bridesmaids). She arrived on time and ready to go! She was always looking for new picture opportunities and making us feel comfortable. Our wedding day was during the end of November with some cold weather and sprinkling rain. Holly made the most of it finding photo ops outside even though we could not go out onto the grounds of the venue because of the weather. She is so talented and her pictures are absolutely beautiful! You definitely want her to capture all your special moments on your wedding day!

I could not have been happier with how our wedding photos turned out! Holly was so wonderful to work with from day one. During our initial meeting, she was fun, easy to talk to, and created a timeline for our day which made planning from that point forward so much easier. Holly was amazing in every aspect! We changed our entire wedding due to COVID-19 and it continued to be a very fluid event up until it was over and Holly was so helpful throughout the entire process. She was such a joy to work with. She was professional and fun and helped everyone feel comfortable on our wedding day. We ended up having a small ceremony with no reception; however Holly was open to roaming around Detroit with us and taking amazing pictures that we will cherish forever. Holly was our wedding photographer for our October 2020 wedding, and we couldn't have been happier with our decision. When we met in 2019, she was able to help us build a timeline for our day... and was able to do all of that again for us when our plans changed. She was flexible to our change in venue and timeline, and followed all COVID safety precautions (we're nurses so this was important to us!). Our photos and albums turned out beautiful, and we received them fairly quickly. If you are looking for timeless and natural wedding photos, Holly is your photographer!

If I could give more stars I would! I am so glad we found Holly to photograph our wedding. Due to COVID we had a change in venues and location of our wedding. Holly was able to save the day for us. We hadn't met prior to our wedding but it felt as though we had met before. She is on time, SUPER friendly, easy to work with and was able to get amazing natural shots of EVERYONE. I wish I had another event happening to book Holly again!!!

Holly did an absolutely fabulous job photographing our November 2020 wedding! My husband and I decided to keep our wedding date, and though our wedding day looked very different from the one we originally planned because of COVID, Holly rolled with the punches. Not only were our conversations leading up to our wedding day super clear and transparent, the day of, we didn’t have to think twice about what do to or where to be. Holly was incredibly professional and helpful in getting the best shots, and a total joy to work with! She played a huge role in helping make our day so special, and we highly recommend!

Not sure how this photographer received more than one star honestly. Communication with her has been awful (when she actually responds) and not accommodating at all, especially since circumstances around Covid ruined our wedding. When every other vendor was understanding and offered at least some money back or a chance to rebook for free, Holly stated that not only would we not receive any of our deposit back, if we wanted to reschedule with her for a different day we would have to pay another $800 for rebooking. Having already lost $800 to her “services”, or lack thereof, it’s very easy to say we will not be working with her or would EVER recommend her to anyone else . Her unprofessionalism is astounding. She is no more a photographer than she is a thief. If you’re looking for an awful experience and an unprofessional photographer, she would receive 4stars, otherwise stay away!

Holly was a delight to work with. For our wedding, she demonstrated a natural ability to capture the most treasured moments, whether they were posed or candid. She is a total professional, and was a great source of calm and flexibility when our wedding plans had to change several times due to COVID. She also was great fun to work with on the day of. We are so grateful that we are able to keep reliving our day by viewing the beautiful finished product that Holly shared with us (several weeks sooner than projected to be completed, which was an amazing surprise)! Make sure to read your contract fully before signing. Unfortunately, my fiance and I had to postpone our wedding to next year due to COVID and other personal issues. Holly refused to let us transfer our deposit over to a new date because "the wedding wasn't a forced cancellation by Governor Whitmer". She was the only vendor that was not accommodating during this difficulty time. We decided to not utilize Holly as our photographer for our new date and after reaching out to many other photographers we found Holly's professionalism and communication was subpar compared to others. *** In response to the comment below many of Holly's accusations are false: 1. Due to our reception being indoors and having a guest list close to 200 people many adjustments would've had to be made that weren't just "minor". Per our venue we wouldn't be able to have a dance floor, everyone would have to wear masks, tables would have to be spaced out 6 ft, and we would only be able to seat 5-6 people per table. So we felt these were pretty big adjustment not just "minor "and felt more comfortable postponing. 2. When I originally reached out to you and I made you aware of our possible postponement I received an email stating that you had our new date available "However, the deposit wouldn't be transferrable to 2021 dates. As of right now, I'm not considering July 2020 or after weddings to be 'forced' cancellations." We were never updated about your new policy until after we decided to no longer use your services. 3. As far as communication we feel as though it was lacking on your end. When we originally reach out to you about our engagement session an email was sent to you on June 25th, 2019, then another email on August 18th, 2019, after not hearing from you a third attempt was made via the knot on September 2nd. After 3 attempts to contact you we finally received an email from you on September 3rd. Once we finally did hear from you we were told you were not waiving our engagement session fee but the money would need to be placed toward goods (prints, album, etc.) so once again you are falsely making claims in your response below. After September 3rd we did not receive a single email from you to discuss our wedding timeline or prep for our wedding. As your customers it was never once spoken about or brought to our attention a second photographer was going to be used at our wedding. So we are confused to what you are referring to in your comment response below.

Holly is fabulous. We absolutely love her and she’s been such a huge part of capturing our wedding journey. We highly recommend her and her work! She captures such authenticity and we appreciate her work. We will treasure it forever!

WE LOVED OUR PHOTOS! Holly was excellent at helping us feel comfortable, taking requests, but also ensuring that we kept the ball rolling so we didn't get too backed up taking specific shots. She did great at "arranging" us so we didn't look too "posed" and took plenty of candid shots as well. She's very creative and sweet, but also gives up tips to make the most of the photographer's paid time. I especially loved how many photos she took and the amount we got back! Hundreds. She also took photos of our dogs that we will for sure treasure. Thank you Holly!

We booked Holly for our engagement and wedding photos and were So happy with the results! My husband and I aren't ones to be super comfortable in front of the camera but Holly does an excellent job making you feel at ease during the whole process! Not only did we got a ton of photos but the quality was top notch and she captured every moment perfectly! We booked Holly last year and she did our engagement photos and most recently our wedding photos on 09/15/18. Holly makes the entire process easy the moment you book with her. She is very professional and so friendly! My husband and I sometimes feel awkward with pictures and she made us feel like we could be ourselves and made suggestions that worked for us! We have all of our final photos and they all turned out perfect! Holly was the photographer for my friends wedding in 2016 and she has been recommended throughout our friend group ever since. I wouldn't recommend anyone else! You will not be disappointed!

Holly was great to work with! Being a bride planning a wedding out of state can be stressful but she helped work around her busy schedule to be able to meet when I was back in Michigan! She listened to all of our needs/wants that we had for our wedding and was very easy to work with. I received the photos back faster than expected and they were very well done! She assisted us with figuring out our timeline for the day, and with her honest opinions we decided to do a "first look", which became our favorite part of the day and helped us to feel calm for the ceremony. I cannot say enough good things about Holly! She recently photographed our September wedding and our photos came out 100000 times better than we could have ever hoped for. We were SO HAPPY with Holly! She was very friendly and professional and down to earth. I feel like we searched for- and met with- many photographers and we definitely made the right choice. The wedding photography was probably the most important vendor to us as we know our pictures are what we will have to look back years later and remember the day. Holly is a phenomenal photographer and we are more than happy with our experience with her! She is very professional and unique in her style. She takes multiple shots and not just the "traditional" wedding photos. Our wedding was only 2 weeks ago so we have yet to received our photos yet but we are anxiously awaiting because we know they will turn out beautiful!

Holly was an amazing photographer to have during our day. She books out well in advance, which speaks to her quality. Luckily, we booked her last available date in June this year almost a year ago. She was friendly and professional and discreet. She took a lot of candid photos because she was able to be in the background without us noticing, which we think is going to give us the best shots. We won't see our photographs for a few weeks, but we have a feeling they are going to be amazing and we can't wait to see her work.

My fiance and I scheduled a meeting with Holly to book her as our wedding photographer and to pay the down payment for her services. The day before at 11:00 pm she emailed me to say she decided to book another couple instead of us. I contacted many other photographers and they were extremely transparent in letting me know if they were talking to another couple on the day we needed. We wouldn't have stopped our vendor search if we knew she was going to book the date for someone else and it's disappointing to be blindsided especially when she said she's available for our date.

Holly took engagement photos for my fiancé and I this past October. She was really great to work with (very friendly and quickly understood what we were looking for) and she found the best photo spots. We decided to take them at Kensington Park and her recommendations to get the best photos at the best times (before all of the Fall photo taking crowds) were spot on. She even worked wonderfully with our dog to include her in the photos. Her price was definitely reasonable and we got all the rights to our photos in an adorably packed flash drive! I would absolutely hire her for our wedding if we were getting married even remotely close to here. Thank you Holly!

Holly was our photographer for my wedding on October 7th.. she was absolutely amazing! When i found her on the knot i knew from reviews and looking at her pictures, that she would do an amazing job. I did a TON of research on photographers because that was one of the most important things to me for our wedding. Holly also had very competitive prices which my husband loved! On the day of the wedding Holly arrived right on time. While we were still getting ready Holly even took my dress all the way down to the hotel lobby just to get a perfect shot of it! She also suggested great places to take pictures. Once we got to the venue it was literally like she wasn't even there until you needed her and all of a sudden she was! Holly was the perfect example of "not in your face" but "ready at any moment" . My husband is very picky about people but the day after the wedding he even said what a great job she did and how every time he wanted a picture with one of his work friends, she was right there. I found Holly on the Knot and after reviewing her work, decided that my Fiancé Steve & I just HAD to meet her.
