We picked Green Meadows because we wanted to get married at a working farm that still had animals on property. The Green Meadows team is quite easy to work with. They're particular where it truly matters for everyone's wellbeing (e.g. protecting their animals, staff, and guests), but flexible where they can be to allow your day to be what you've dreamed of. When you first pull up to the farm it can be easy to focus on the goofy petting farm, but if you pause and look around you'll notice the breathtaking parts of the farm that will serve as a backdrop to your wedding. Be sure to check out the front of the farm house for your ceremony, the back and side of the house for first looks, the bridal suite to get ready in, and the old hay barn as a back drop to couple photos. The reception space itself is pristine, modern, and accessible, and they already have some tasteful ceiling decorations that elevate the space. Parking is very easy for guests and plentiful. Our guests absolutely loved interacting with the animals. They are all very sweet - even the cows and bison voluntarily came to the fence line for some loving. My husband and I are horse owners and animal lovers, so it was important to us that the animals seemed happy and healthy. They have so much acreage, and clear rules to ensure their well being, which we really appreciated. There were two things we didn't totally understand when booking that surprised us, but they didn't end up being problematic. 1) they are open to the public until 4. Their last admission is 3, but there may still be some lingering guests on property until 4. Our ceremony started at 4. The guests at the farm before the ceremony ended up giving us the giggles, because we could hear a cheering birthday party as we were taking pre-ceremony photos. 2) If you get married in the old hay barn, the floor is a bit too uneven for chairs. So, you'll need to use their hay bales and wooden plank benches for seating. We were going to add a few chairs for elderly guests, but otherwise people would be sitting at haybale level. We ended up with our ceremony outside with our rented chairs, but it's worth keeping this detail in mind if you'll be inside so you're not taken by surprise and can plan if you have any guests who may struggle to sit on benches. Our parents loved the farm so much that they're planning to visit the farm later in the year so they can spend more time seeing the animals. I definitely recommend this venue if you want a slightly unusual wedding that still gives you some beautiful backdrops and an easy to work with vendor team.

We are having our wedding reception here in March and I am in love with everything! Ken and Laurie have been SO helpful! Ken has been really flexible with moving dates due to covid and anything else that comes up! When I sent my invites I accidentally put the start time an hour earlier than we had planned for, he said not an issue at all and we moved it up an hour! He has been an absolute pleasure to work with and I can’t wait for our big day! And on top of everything else his prices are SO reasonable! Definitely check out this place!
