Ryan Mastro is truly a gifted photographer and I would recommend him without reservation! He made us feel comfortable and at ease, even our infant son. He captured moments that did not look forced or posed, and created beautiful photographs of our family. If we had known him then, we would have definitely used him for our wedding.
Ryan is a rare and special combination of exceptional talent, relaxed presence and strong work ethic. He put in far more time and effort then we asked of him in a way that was un-rushed and put us at ease. Our wedding, like most, was a blur and we feel very fortunate to have such authentic and timeless photos and video to re-live it with. I can't recommend him highly enough.
The best thing we did for our wedding was to hire Ryan. He documented the moments we were too busy to experience, and captured us in such a beautiful, meaningful, unique, honest way. I wasn't looking to hire someone who would take simple portraits, rather someone who would had an eye for details and a film-type aesthetic. Ryan fit my vision perfectly. His photographs contain movement which capture the emotion of the moment and give a hint at what is to come in the future. Ryan is an artist. His photographs now hang in our home as something much more than images from a special day; they hang as art. Lastly, I would add that Ryan is polite, flexible, kind, humble, and has clear vision about what will make a beautiful shot. He has a lovely combination of business sense and absolute creativity.
I have nothing but great things to say about Ryan Mastro and Green Path Creative. Ryan took our family portraits and the results were just wonderful. Though Ryan didn't take our wedding pictures (we didn't learn about him until after we had children), we would have had him shoot our big day if we had found him then. Highly recommended.
Years after my wedding, I still believe the best investment we made was hiring Ryan to document our day. Not only is his work incredible, he is one of the kindest, most creative, and inspiring artists we know. One of the most fascinating aspects of working with Ryan is the array of old cameras he utilizes; he is a photographer who not only uses common digital cameras, but he shoots with film and large format cameras to capture more than just images – they are works of art. Following our wedding, Ryan has documented the lives of our children, and we are happy to call him a friend. Ryan observes and listens; he will capture everything you request on your image “wish list”, and his creative eye will capture images you never envisioned (those were some of our favorites!). He works quietly and professionally - you likely won’t even notice him throughout the day! Meet with Ryan and rest assured that you have found the person to create gorgeous images to cherish for the rest of your life.
I chose Ryan to photograph my wedding after seeing his photos from various music festivals. Our wedding was small and fairly non-traditional and I was looking for someone who would fit in with our style. There was definitely something exciting about being photographed by someone who has taken photos of all sorts of famous musicians. I don't particularly like my picture being taken, but Ryan made me and my husband feel comfortable and I was glad he took control and knew where to place us for the best possible photos. He was also accommodating when I had requests for specific photos I wanted. Ryan wasn't intrusive at all during the ceremony but still managed to capture all the important moments. We couldn't have been happier with our wedding photos and feel so lucky that we met Ryan!
