could enjoy the wedding too. I had basically given up when my future M-I-L emailed me that she had been in touch with the women at Greenline Salon and they wanted to help us out. They were willing to open an hour and a half early to accommodate our applications. When I went in for my hair and makeup trial, I discover that the stylist, Caitie, doing my updo actually used to do my hair at a different salon and I loved her! Coincidentally, the last time she had styled my hair was right before I left for Paris two years prior, and we talked about the new guy I was seeing -- the man I ended up marrying! She ended up getting my hair vision exactly right. My dress was based on Beauty and the Beast, so we went with that and ended up with a gorgeous side-swept up-do with little roses made of curls. It lasted and I loved it. Emma did all the makeup applications and they came out perfect and literally lasted for about 9-10 hours. I went out to dinner with my new husband that night and all I had to do was blot my face with an oil sheet and I was ready to go. The only negative we had was that the up-do of one of my bridesmaids fell out before the wedding reception ended. She is a very vigorous dancer and it never even occurred to us to ask for some extra hairspray and bobby-pins to keep that sucker up. So I would suggest that if you are a passionate hip-swinger, ask for the extra security. I will note, however, that she loved it while it lasted!
