bridal show and was impressed with his work and his personality. As we were working on selecting a photographer for our big day, we set up a meeting at Greg's house and met with Greg and Jennifer. After that meeting, where we got to know them better and saw many samples of their work, we decided that Greg and Jennifer were the right selection! Naomi and Greg photographed our wedding and Jennifer was key in coordinating all the shots we had previously discussed. They captured so many great shots including: the groom and guys getting ready with my family, the bride getting ready with the bridesmaids and her family, the entire wedding ceremony at church with before, during and after shots including every combination of family, bridal party shots we wanted, and the entire reception including some amazing sunset captures we will cherish for our lifetime. We even fit in something that was important to us which was a shoot between the ceremony and reception at a playground on the swings. After our big day, Greg and Jennifer followed up wonderfully! They sent us 13 great, retouched shots the next day and had the entire set of good shots which totaled 783 ready for us to review within a few weeks! We were able to share those on a website with all our friends and family and also received all the images on a disc. Then, when the timing was right for us, we met with Greg and Jennifer again to discuss our dream wedding album. They were very accommodating and timely when we went back and forth through e-mail to get every image and page just how we wanted. There are countless positives in working with Greg Nelsen Photography including quality of work, professionalism, desire to make us happy and personalities that are a joy to be with while also getting the job done! Look at any of the pictures on his website and it’s obvious that he has a great eye for the natural beauty around him and knows how to these capture moments. We aren’t models and aren’t used to having our pictures taken, but Greg made us feel comfortable, while still getting us into place to take amazing shots. When we first met with Greg and asked him how long it would take to get our pictures from him, he told us that it would probably take 3-4 weeks. We were happy with that, since we heard from friends they waited over two months to get their wedding pictures. Our wedding was in April 2016, and he posted some highlights on Facebook the day after our wedding. Then we got the rest of the pictures back ONE week later! Yup, a week after our wedding, we got a package from Greg that had a DVD with over 1,000 photos of our wedding! You might be thinking, “Yeah, but how many of them are good pictures?” We started working on picking pictures we liked for our wedding album, thank you cards, picture frames, etc. So we went through all the pictures and saved the ones we really liked into a folder. There are over 300 pictures in that folder. And it was even challenging to narrow it down that far. If you don’t believe me, go to his Facebook page and look at all his wedding photos. His pictures are consistently great and he captured the day beautifully. Before this review gets too long, I want to say that the best thing about hiring Greg wasn’t his photos or quick turnaround. It’s that he really goes out of his way to make your day special and to help out in any way he can. We had a venue cancel on us 5 months before our wedding and we were panicked. We already sent out Save the Dates to our friends and family and they were booking flights to San Diego from around the country, but we no longer had a venue to have our wedding! We emailed Greg to let him know what happened and he replied back the next day with a list of venues he had previously worked with, thought we would like, and could work with us. It was incredibly nice of him to do this on short notice and because of things like this we won’t hesitate to recommend him to others and sing his praises. We’ve seen many pictures from other weddings and we know how much people paid for some of their pictures. Our pictures are better :p

He was responsive to emails, very flexible throughout the whole planning. We did the engagement photoshoot and it was very relaxed and easy. The pictures turned out beautiful and had some of the pictures used as part of the wedding decorations. Greg was so awesome. He did a sighting of the chapel where we got married before the wedding day. My mom was able to show him the chapel and took some test shots of her. He also ended up driving the best man to the reception after we had some transportation issues. So overall, he was just super nice and easy-going. But of course, that also came with great photographs! We got some previews the day after the wedding! Then two weeks later, as promised, we got the rest. We got so many pictures and he was able to capture all the beautiful moments we remember. Thank you Greg for doing such a fantastic job that all of us enjoyed, and that we will treasure forever.
