Greg was so flexible & helpful in deciding our reception music. He even set up his speakers early so that we could use them for the ceremony free of charge! The music was fantastic, upbeat, romantic and intimate. We could request songs & Greg would always oblige. Although we originally agreed that Kelsey, the singer, would be there, she unfortunately was on bed-rest. To compensate, he took nearly $300 off the price.
We had a three piece band (piano, drums, bass) and everyone said they were fantastic. They allowed the photographer to take cool photos, my husband to play a few and the wedding party to give their toasts using their equipment.
The only negative about the day was that Greg's mother was celebrating her birthday in Oklahoma the next day (she was turning 70 or 75) so he only stayed until 10p. It was totally understandable but I wish they could have stayed until WE were ready to leave. But to his credit he told us about the situation well in advance.
Overall we were very satisfied with Greg Tivis and the music he brought to our wedding day.
Greg is an exceptionally talented jazz pianist. He generally plays with a jazz trio (piano bass drums) but a larger band (guitar horns etc.)- and a VERY TALENTED VOCALIST- are available upon request. His repertoire is vast and varied and he does take requests. EVERYONE COMMENTED ON HOW AMAZING THE MUSIC WAS!
