of our wedding and the two local towns we were planning to get married in. Paid the deposit to hold the date/time. We had a phone conversation shortly after confirming things and everything was agreed. I texted him again 6 days before the wedding to confirm everything again, address, time date, our names, and got confirmation that everything was set. No other communication regarding anything else so we figured we were good to go. On the day of the wedding he was a NO SHOW, about 5 minutes after our wedding was supposed to start we called him and he says 'what wedding' ??? And started giving attitude like we did something wrong or it was our fault (no apology). This guy made zero effort to communicate with us about anything regarding our wedding. When I texted him, he could have said please pay your balance owed, and we gladly would have, or please confirm your location again. He made zero effort to do anything, zero effort on his part, being that this is his business maybe he should have made some effort. Luckily we found someone else to officiate the wedding at the last minute after a two hour delay and everything worked out ok in the end. But this whole situation added a lot of stress and chaos to what should have been the happiest day of our lives. Based on our personal experience we would strongly recommend avoiding.

She officiated our wedding on January 24th and gave us our dream ceremony. She made us feel like we were the only ones in the room and made the ceremony feel so personal it appeared as if we knew each other for years. We wedded in his home on our actual wedding date with our witnesses there, and then he re-read our vows for the reception party on that following weekend which was fantastic because I don’t think anyone else would do it more than once for the same people. He was also there really early, that the cake showed up with him. He was so patient and friendly, very understanding. Make sure you do book ahead of time! Gregg was great. We’ve been asked a few times about him and his services and am glad to recommend him. Thank you again Gregg! P.S: Pricing was right in the budget.

tered my bridal suite unannounced when I could have been changing and he was just there for no apparent reason. He did not need to speak to me about anything, that was what the matrie-d was there for. Second, my father forgot his reading glasses and no longer could read a verse in Spanish. Gregg (according to my bridal party) was unprofessional and started complaining. It was not a big deal and it was just a matter of him reading it in English instead. I thought it was very unprofessional for him to have those conversations or complain on our wedding day about something so minor. Third, my videographers asked him to use the microphone since they were obviously recording and making a video and he refused it. So that means that our vows were not recorded and our guest did not hear what he was saying. Then, after the ceremony was over and we were making our grand entrance to greet everyone during the cocktail hour he kept asking us to find two people to sign the certificate as the witnesses. Seriously! There were about 100+ people there to sign it! He could have picked anyone and he was annoying about it. Last, to top it off he stayed for our wedding reception without talking to us about it and we did not add him to our guest count. If he would have told us when we asked him then that was fine but he did not give us a confirmation. The most awkward part was that he decided to sit at my father's table without discussing this with me or the matrie-d. That was strictly a family table. He took my uncle's seat who came late and then he had to sit somewhere else. He is unprofessional, sarcastic, rude, and is not as outgoing as you think he is in that first initial meeting. That day should be about the couple and help make it as smooth as possible for them not the total opposite. I honestly think he was just upset that we did not hire him for the wedding rehearsal but we did not need to pay extra money for that when the venue provided that already. I'm writing this review 3 months after our wedding because I decided to only focus on everything else that went great thanks to the amazing venue and their team.

During our rehearsal dinner, he helped our bridal party feel confident going into the big day, and helped keep even our goofiest groomsmen in line. That's no easy feat! After sharing our wedding video with some coworkers, everyone had the same comment - our ceremony was flawless and Gregg spoke beautifully. I even had one coworker ask for his information, and now she's planning on meeting with Gregg as she starts planning her wedding.

While our ceremony was beautiful and we received a ton of compliments regarding it, we were a bit surprised at the time of our ceremony when it turned pretty religious, which is not the ceremony we had opted for. While our families did not know any differently, we knew we had not picked something so religious because my husband is not religious at all. It threw us off since we had provided the specifics of the ceremony we wanted weeks before our wedding day. Nonetheless, it was a nice ceremony and Reverend Gregg even knew to move away during our big kiss so that the photographers could get the “money shot” of just the two of us. I would still recommend him to others despite our misunderstanding about the ceremony format.

year and a half later, months before my wedding I contacted Gregg and it was just the PERFECT thing ever. His communication was easy, comfortable, and he we full of information. We booked him and I was soo happy to have him marry my wife and I. We me with him about a week before the wedding and the atmosphere was awesome. The day of the wedding he blended in as a family member, he even helped by brother with his tie! I was so happy we were able to have Gregg as our officiant. He kept an open line of communication, he was loud and clear on the day of the wedding, and he was just such a pleasure to have on the day of! He helped in any way he could. And I even have him in some of my candid wedding shots haha. I would recommend Gregg 100%!!

As we wanted a Spanish/English ceremony, Gregg introduced us to Roger who was his bilingual colleague who would be officiating the wedding. Both were amazing to work with in creating the perfect ceremony. Gregg attended our rehearsal dinner as Roger had a family issue, but Gregg guided us perfectly to how the wedding will be conducted. Everyone loved how honest he was and how he explained every single detail, from what not to put in your pockets, how to pass off bouquets, and even how my father hands me off which my father needed to learn and practice, haha. The day of the wedding, Roger was amazing in speaking both Spanish and English and brought everyone to tears with the beautiful wording of the ceremony. Roger was an amazing officiant and my family and friends are still talking about how everything came out perfect. I am thankful for both Roger and Gregg for making our wedding day perfect.

We reached out and his response time was great. We met him at his "office" in Clifton a couple months prior to our wedding. On the actual day, Greg is nowhere to be found. I called and left a message letting him know we are waiting for him and to let us know what's going on. Turns out he sent another officiant, Magdalena, in his place and never told us. She was awesome, but it's so unprofessional to just switch up like that and not notify your customers. I went to Paterson Dept of health to pick up our marriage certificate on Tuesday 7/24 and the ladies there cannot find my paperwork! I called Greg and he said paterson lost it. I highly doubted it but obviously we can't prove who lost it. So he agreed to sign everything again and resubmit to paterson. I was told that he probably misplaced it and didnt feel like looking for it. I don't know whose fault it was and didnt care. We just want our certificate. He then tells me I can just use the pink copy of the license because it's legal. I told him no one accepts that pink copy. DMV, social security office, my professional licensure board all need the certificate with the raised seal from NJ. But shouldn't he know this? I get another license typed up in my town. Greg told me to just drop in his mailbox so he can sign it then I was going to bring to my witnesses to sign. I drove all the way to his office to drop the paperwork in his mailbox. Then he told us that he has to sign it last so he wanted us to pick it back up and he was going to leave it in the mailbox again. This was all discussed over the past couple days via text. He did not tell me that my witnesses need to sign first. He should have made that known when I first texted him and said I would pick the paperwork back up. My husband calls him and tells him that he prefers we actually get the paperwork physically from Greg because we decided we don't feel comfortable having it in the mailbox anymore. Our social security numbers are on it. It doesn't matter if I left it in there before. We now wish to pick it up directly from him. It's not like we were asking him to drop everything and come to us. Greg then starts arguing, saying he's really busy and we can just get it from the mailbox. My husband repeats that we no longer feel comfortable with our paperwork in the mailbox and would like to get it from him or someone else who works there. Greg keeps arguing and saying he's so busy and has a rehearsal or something. My husband offered to meet him at a time and place of Greg's choosing over the weekend. Greg is yelling at this point and tells my husband to shut up. My husband reminded him that hes the one who lost our paperwork to begin with and now our ss numbers are just floating around somewhere. Greg then said he's going to rip our paperwork up!!! Wow. Both my husband and I have call recorders downloaded to our phones for any incoming or outgoing call we make. So at this time we let Greg know he's being recorded and he hangs up on my husband. I know he'll come on here and talk crap like he has done with others who had a bad experience and rated him poorly on other sites. But the difference between me and them is that we have recorders so there's proof of what he said and what my husband said. Recordings don't lie.

f friends and family, we were stood up by Gregg, and had to learn that we have a new officiant. No warning, no heads up, no phone call prior. We called Gregg several times that night (the night before our wedding) to figure out what is going on and he would not answer the phone or call us back. Only when I called from a different number, he answered. He stated he passed our wedding off and his excuse was that he had another wedding in NY to conduct!!! He was fresh, sarcastic, arrogant, and did not apologize even once, and I have 7 bridesmaids that witnessed my conversation. Gregg attempted to justify him not showing up by saying its written on his website that the officiant is "subject to change". His attitude was just down right disgusting. When we met , we reminded him of one negative review that he had, which stated that he did not show up the day of. To which he replied: rest assured, it will be me. At which point, my fiance reiterated the question, and Gregg once again responded, it will be me. Even the venue staff was appalled by this and told us they have never seen anything like this. Roger, was the officiant that Gregg sent to replace him. He was also not previewed to us not knowing that he was coming to replace Gregg. Under the circumstances, and obvious short notice, Roger did a fantastic job.

Although Gregg ended up sick and not able to make our ceremony he made sure that we had someone to perform our ceremony and we were never left in the dark or without someone to be there on our wedding day! Thank you so much for making our ceremony absolutely perfect and something our family and friends have continued to talk about!

but he lets you decide exactly how you want the ceremony performed. He suggested we do a sand ceremony because we both have kids and wanted to include them. The sand ceremony was so special to us blending families and I wouldn't have thought of it until he mentioned it. He truly is the best out there and also had beautiful readings. he was earlier then ceremony even kept me company in the bridal suite with my last minute nerves. Good Luck!!!

gin the officiant called to ask What time the wedding was and then informed us he was three hours away. I understand mistakes happen and luckily we found someone else on VERY short notice. I would not be posting multiple reviews of the incident that caused major issues with my wedding, the photographer, DJ and caterer if this company had admitted the mistake and refunded ALL of my parents money as they were paid in full with deposit. However, even though they apologized on the day of and promised a refund, when contacted the next day Mr. KItts denied involvement and refused to return our money saying he was not assigned the wedding so it was not his fault. His is however the person in charge according to the officiant we were supposedly assigned. He also stated we needed to contact the Victorian chapel. Yet the money was all paid to Mr. Kitts and our communications were all with him and with his name on them. Not some chapel. We have had to retain the services of a lawyer as this company will not make right on their mistake. Now I know several sites where we posted reviews Mr kitts has tried to have them removed or disputed and I am sure he will do the same here as apparently he cannot deal with justified negative reviews. However, we have the documented proof. And will happily share it. As I said I understand mistakes happen and would not feel the need to give this review or any of the others if Mr. Kitts had decided to make right on the mistake that almost completely ruined my wedding day. To date only a partial refund was given and blame shuffled..

It was our first time getting married and we had questions that weren't answered with care. He handled us like a business transaction... instead of helping and contributing into making our reception the "best it can be." Secondly, my husband and I had a small ceremony with only 6 people attending and we were overcharged for using the "Oak Room." Gregg was EXTREMELY unprofessional when he asked for the remainder of the money for the ceremony. He asked my husband for the money in front of our guests and wasn't well-mannered about it...our guests even commented on how unprofessional he was! Business between Gregg and my husband should have been done apart from the ceremony. In addition, we were charged $50 to "file" the license! Gregg NEVER mentioned this and he was, once again, unprofessional when doing business. He charged us in the middle of the hallway in City Hall located in Clifton, NJ! Please be aware of people like Gregg who enjoy milking happy couples for their money!! I would not recommend Gregg as a wedding officiant you intend to trust and rely on.
