Gretchen Hope Photography is a wedding photography company based in Allentown, PA. Owner Gretchen believes that much of what is precious about life is experienced moment to moment. She would love to help you preserve every precious moment of your special day. Gretchen hopes that your collection will bring you joy for many years to come.
Gretchen loves real, raw moments. She enjoys working with couples who are madly in love and who enjoy exploring all that life and love have to offer. Your love is an exciting, wonderful adventure, and Gretchen can’t wait to be part of the next chapter of your story.
Gretchen Hope Photography covers engagements and wedding day celebrations throughout the Lehigh Valley region and across the world. Gretchen is also available for portraits, day-after, and trash-the-dress sessions. She offers a range of packages to suit a variety of styles and budgets. Package options include up to 10 hours of event coverage, an edited collection of high-resolution photos, and a beautiful wedding album. Destination wedding packages are also available.

day craziness. We received sneak peek photos just 2 days after the wedding and they are AMAZING. She was really able to capture us as the couple we are. We also had an engagement shoot with Gretchen about a year before our wedding, which was a great way to get introduced to her before the big day. She kept in contact regularly through our long engagement and was just as excited about our wedding day as we were!

ope Photography. While we enjoyed the warm and simple atmosphere of her website, it was her appreciation for natural lighting and beauty that won us over. Our first meeting with Gretchen over FaceTime revealed she was someone we could feel comfortable working with (e.g. we loved that she appreciated coffee and a good hike) and trust to capture the magic of our wedding day. She was joyful and expressed a genuine interest in our love story.
We loved our engagement session! At first, we were a bit reserved and uncomfortable with the process, but Gretchen offered a lot of great ideas and suggestions about different poses and reminded us to have fun. This experience led to a very comfortable and enjoyable wedding day because we had a better understanding of what to expect. Throughout our wedding day, she was attentive to each moment and detail and helped to coordinate some beautiful photo arrangements.
When we viewed the final photos, our jaws just dropped. Not only did she capture the “fall” colors and lighting of the season, but each sacred, beautiful, and joyful moment. Each time we scroll through the photos, we feel as if we are able to relive the entire day. It is such a gift to have the memory of our best day so beautifully preserved.
As a final note, Gretchen went out of her way to make us feel special and recognized. Throughout our time working with her, she sent us a box of homemade items for Christmas, Venmoed us funds to get coffee during our wedding week, and Venmoed us again so we could enjoy our final edited photos with a bottle of champagne. We were surprised and touched by each kind and generous gesture.

She did our engagement photos. Prior to our shoot, she gave us ideas for places to take photos and very open to travelling, which is helpful for anyone who wants more adventurous types of photos. We were a little nervous at first because my fiancé and I are not very comfortable in front of a camera; however, Gretchen made us feel like we were just enjoying each other’s company and hanging out with a friend. One thing that I loved about the shoot was that she had her ideas, but she was also very open to any poses or ideas that we had as well. Would highly recommend booking her ASAP!

ls I can’t remember, being the bride and all! Gretchen did a PHENOMENAL job at capturing all those details in pictures! From the decorations of the ceremony & reception, to the smiling & teary-eyed faces of our many loved ones (our wedding was only weeks pre-COVID, praise God!), from our gorgeous wedding party, to my drop dead handsome husband & I ourselves, Gretchen got it all and did it very well. Personality wise, she is such a joy to work with, before, after, & during your event. She is communicative, quick to respond, and is easy to understand. On the day of, she was also VERY fun! You won’t feel awkward, she just blends so seamlessly into your crew of girls and makes everyone so comfortable. Gretchen also hired a second shooter for our wedding (her husbands brother, Robert Trumble, is also a fabulous photographer), so we really enjoyed having the two photographers to work with. While Gretchen photographed my bridesmaids & I getting ready, Robert photographed the guys getting ready. Always a plus to have a second camera, second pair of eyes, second artistic brain on the project. While doing the photos of only my husband & I, Gretchen & Robert we’re both there and made it all so romantic, they played lovely music and told us how incredible we looked, they posed us in many stunning positions and kept us laughing & smiling genuinely the whole way. I guess the sum total of what I’m trying to say is: if you have a desire to have your pictures taken or have an upcoming event you want documented, HIRE GRETCHEN as your photographer!! It’s not a decision you could ever regret!!
