I was the lucky winner of a grand prize of a free wedding day photography from Greyson Steele!!! Dawn & Darrell are amazing. We used them for our engagement photos, my bouidor shoot & the wedding. They are so professional & FUN! There photos are truly amazing and I couldn't be any happier with the outcome of our special day.

AWESOME!!!!! Dawn and Darrell (Greyson Steele Photography) are not great photographers. They are great people who capture detailed moments in time. They are so personable, likeable, friendly, energetic, creative....i could really go on forever, but you understand. My husband and I renewed our vows after 5 years of marriage and getting our nuptials at the courthouse. When we decided to go with Greyson Steele, it was almost like fate. Our 3 daughters loved them immediately which meant a lot for us. The day of the wedding couldn't have been more hectic, but both photographers were so amazing! They captured every moment and produced such an outstanding product. They even had a sneak peak for us to view 2 days later!!!!! I would recommend them to any and everyone who needs a photographer. Not just for weddings, but everything. No matter where we are when my husband and I renew our vows again or just have a big anniversary party, it's guaranteed we're choosing Greyson Steele again! We love them!!!

It was great having two photographers. Daryl was able to stay with the groom the first part of the day and Dawn was able stay with me, the bride, while I got ready. They were very creative with the pictures and did a great job of taking intimate shots without being intrusive during the ceremony and reception. They also had good suggestions for when to take certain kinds of pictures i.e. family shots. Everyone has told us how much they love the pictures and I wouldn't change a thing.

I couldn't have asked for a better photography team! The pictures are amazing and they also have this ability to calm you on your day and make you feel relaxed! Dawn also took breathtaking bridal portraits as well! They are very sweet and the turn around time on the photos was so fast! They lighting and creative images are what sets them apart, when I looked back at some of the decor shots I was so impressed!

What can I say- Greyson Steele is simply the best. My fiancé and mother met Dawn about a year before the wedding, and having interviewed a few other photographers, there was something different about Dawn's approach. Instead of immediately showing us her work from prior weddings, she asked questions to get to know my fiancé and I better. Her approach was impeccable, and she made the experience incredibly personable, and continued to do so after our introductory meeting. And after showing us her amazing work, it was a no brainer walking out of our first meeting with Dawn that she would be the team we would be hiring. My fiancé and I really got to know Dawn and Darrell at our engagement session- we met them at our site and they had so many amazing ideas! I could tell they put a lot of effort into making our shoot unique. What I also love about Dawn and Darrell is the way they captivate the moment and bounce ideas off of one another to get a great photo. They are an awesome pair, and we loved that we were working with a husband-wife team. Luckily for us, the day of our wedding turned out to be a gorgeous day. We had a full day of coverage with Greyson Steele, and they utilized every second of it. The pictures turned out 100 times better than I could ever imagined. The thought and the detail into every photo was brilliant. Their work is simply stunning and there is no other word to describe it. Greyson Steele has truly mastered photography- they really know what they are doing and are true professionals. Choosing Greyson-Steele Photography was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. They were passionate and excited about the pictures and capturing the moments throughout our wedding. Dawn was very responsive and helpful from the beginning of the process through the end. They made my groom and I feel very comfortable and important. We really enjoyed working with them. We received our pictures in a timely manner and they were all very well done. A lot of care was put into their work and it's obvious. We also felt like they were reasonably priced. Our wedding was out of town and we didn't have a lot of recommendations so we chose them based on the great reviews on the Knot. We really are so glad we did and will cherish our amazing pictures forever and are thankful for all they did to make them wonderful for us!

I will start by saying that Greyson Steele is the BEST photography company in the Charlotte, NC Area. My photos were just as important to me and my dress. I did online research and read numerous reviews about them so I decided to reach out to them. I received a response from Dawn and we set up an initial meeting. My husband nor I overly enjoy taking photos but Dawn and Darrell welcomed us into their home and made us feel soooo comfortable that we found ourselves looking forward to the session! Their style and personalities were a perfect match for us so we booked immediately ( for our wedding also). Needless to say the engagement session was ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!!! The fact that we met Greyson as well was the icing on the cake. He is too adorable and sweet :)! After seeing our FB previews we couldn't wait to see the rest of our photos. The quality,style,etc. of photos they took in about 1.5 hours had us anticipating what they would do in 8 hours :). Our entire wedding day was beautiful and Dawn & Darrell caught every important detail and special moment. Our family and friends absolutely LOVED the FB preview and were raving about our photographers. We can't say enough wonderful things about our experience with Greyson Steele Photography. I sincerely felt like Dawn and I have been friends for years..LOL! I wanted photos that would allow me to relive those moment 50 years from and and also allow my children/grandchildren etc. to feel like they were there just from seeing our photos. Dear Brides, Look no further, Greyson Steele has to be your photographer - FOR EVERYTHING! Dawn is extremely sweet, professional, simple, and tons of fun! Least I forget to mention - TALENTED! She's not a snap and pose kind of photographer. She can truly capture special moments and that's what sets her apart from other photographers. Her work is aesthetically fan-freakin'-tastic and ethereal! We took engagement pictures Wednesday night and Thursday afternoon she had all of our shots ready! She told us she would have a healthy sneak peak for us, but she went ahead and gave us all of our pictures! Talk about instant gratification! Spectacular quality all around! We also took advantage of her amazing skills and listened to her suggestions - she didn't want to do the traditional type of engagement pictures, although she was perfectly fine with that if that's what we wanted. She wanted to capture a love story that was uniquely ours. Her friend, Angela from Royal Rides (also amazing and she does wedding planning), let us use a 1960's Blue and Grey Bently for our 1950's retro shoot. We brought props and it was a lot of fun! I felt a little weird posing and in the back of my head was wondering how things were looking, because we didn't really get any "say cheese" kind of pictures, but I was really taken aback by how the pictures turned out!!! She kept telling us to do our thing and in between giggling and getting serious again, she captured the essence of us (very glamerously) - and the pictures look like they belong straight out of a magazine (in the 1950's)! If her talent is not enough, you should know that she has a heart of gold. She gives back to the community and I always notice her posts on facebook asking people to nominate a worthy couple or person for her to shoot for free or how she photographed the nurses that helped care for her beautiful baby boy when he was in the NICU or how she was touched by one of her son's friends request to photograph him and his sister for a mother's day gift!!! She really cares and that means more than anything to me because I know I'm not a number for her. I can't wait to take bridal portraits with her and to see what our wedding pictures will look like (that means I gotta go work out at the gym extra hard because it's NOT her fault if I don't look good). You don't want to work with anyone else - Greyson Steele Photography is it. Everyone says you'll know when you find "The Dress"...and they're right. But I also had the moment when I found "The Photographer". You'll work with Dawn on all the details. She is professional, friendly, easy to work with, and asks all the right questions. Dawn and Darryl are the perfect team. Their different styles play off each other to give you a wide range of photos to capture the day. On the day of our wedding, they also had an intern Sam, who was also great to work with. They are in all the right places and the right times for the candids, and coordinate beautiful posed shots. We have so many absolutely stunning images, that it is going to be SO hard to choose which ones to frame, put in our storybook album, etc. We also did an engagement session and used the pictures for our guest book. I know we will be calling Greyson Steele for all of our photography needs in the future!

I loved Darryl and Dawn! They are such an awesome husband and wife team and I love how they play off each other. Maybe its the fact that they are married and happy which makes you enjoy and think I'm about to be a happily married couple like them or that they have such a great vision... or its both! They take amazing pictures, they see angles in the most amazing way, they are easily accessible (I do not think there was a time where Dawn did not call/email me back within 12 hours) and the are just fun! They are great at their job and they are able to capture and willing to capture any shot! If your looking at the price next to mine... I had a large and a very long wedding which put my cost a little high, not to mention that I also had a bridal...They were definitely worth it!

The pictures were beautiful!!! They were so flexible and quick to respond to all my request. The turn around time between the wedding and the final edit of the pictures was amazing. They are also extremely nice and fun to work with. They captured so many special moments at the wedding and had wonderful ideas for the posed pictures. It was perfect. I would not change a thing about the experience with pictures for my wedding and would recommend them to anyone!!

I cannot say enough great things about Greyson Steele. First off I had gotten quotes from lots of photographers, and Greyson Steele was totally reasonable with their prices. Dawn was the first photographer that I met with and we just clicked. You can tell that she loves what she does, and for photos, I really wanted someone who loved their job. After talking with Dawn and seeing more of their work, I walked away knowing that I wanted them to photograph my wedding. I had two more appointments one that afternoon and one the next week and told her I'd let her know afterwards. After meeting with the second photographer, I knew that I had wasted his time and mine, and immediately let Dawn know that I would really love if they were a part of my day. I'm so glad I did, because my photos are gorgeous. So gorgeous, I cannot decide which ones I want!! Everyone-- friends, my parents, even my grandmother (READ: super picky)-- loved them. Dawn and Darrell are also just so laid back but professional. They were so much fun when my husband and I took our pictures after the ceremony-- and there is something really sweet about having a married couple work together. I just cannot say enough good things about their work. I would recommend them to anyone-- local or out of state-- that's how much I loved them.

Not only are Dawn and Darrell nice, down to earth, accommodating and fun, but they are unbelievably talented photographers!!!!!! They have a vision and sixth sense for great photography. As they snap photos they create stunning art that at the time only they can see. We will always be blown away by our BREATH-TAKING, BEAUTIFUL, ARTISTIC photos that they created for us. We really are obsessed with all our engagement and wedding photos. We LOVE every single picture- all 800ish! And, I usually hate my pictures. Greyson Steele Photography is the best choice because not only do you get the best photographers in the world but they come two for one! Having both of them gave us the ability to have pictures taken at two different locations without missing a moment. And on your wedding day every second is a special moment! Darrell stayed with my husband and Dawn stayed with me while we got ready on our wedding day. This was the perfect scenario and they helped both of us so much. They captured all the best photos and even helped us with anything we needed. I will never forget how on top of it Dawn was and how she was always there to give me a helping hand, all the while, taking gorgeous pictures. We are so thankful for them that words can't even express it! Greyson Steele Photography will be our photographers FOREVER!!!!! And, we will treasure the photos they took for us FOREVER!!!!! I absolutely love my pictures. No, really I can't stop looking at them. Outside of me being very happy with my prints Dawn and Darrell were amazing people to work with. They're responsive, creative, professional, and just generally nice people that you enjoy spending time with. From I first time I saw Dawn's style of picture taking (from one of my besties wedding) I wanted her as my photographer! .. Meeting her later on sealed the deal for me even more:). Dawn and her husband helped made my wedding day one of the most priceless and memorable days ever. I had "soooo" much going on that day and she was there not only taking "beautiful" pictures but was my verbal "Prozac" to help me keep my nerves together, my earring designer/fixer when my earring broke, and a stem stress in helping putting on the dress, and when helping out with my bussle (Not to even mention helping with my girls too! Dawn and her husband were awesome for my husband and I, from beginning to finish. We showed up to our initial meeting and contract signing with 6 adults and a baby, and she was still able to help everybody stay focused and handle our crazy little group :) In the process of our wedding planning, my husband made a sudden move out of state due to an exciting opportunity, so he, I and our wedding planners were all in different states. The last thing we needed was more stress, and Greyson Steele made sure not to add any on at their end. Their communication with us was constant and clear, and on the day of the wedding, we got everything we wanted. My wedding party talked about how fun it was working with the two of them, and how easy it was to just be ourselves with them in the room, especially during the moments that were most memorable. When we got our pictures back, we were in awe. Everything looks so awesome and professional, and the pictures reflected the fun and excitement of the day and the people involved. I loved having these guys as our photographers. They were my first choice, and I'm so glad we went with them.

After having our engagement photos taken and not being happy with them, we decided to look for a different photographer for our wedding day. It was a little risky since our wedding was just a month away but we are SO happy that we interviewed a few others and chose Dawn and Darrell! The first vendor I chose was my photographer and I couldn’t be more pleased with my decision. From our first meeting I knew Greyson Steele Photography would add something special to my wedding day! We had the joy of working with Dawn and Darrell on our engagement photos, my bridals and then finally the wedding. We were so happy we selected Dawn and Darrell for our wedding in July at The Ballantyne Hotel. When we first met Dawn we knew by her personality that she was the perfect fit for our wedding. Both Dawn and Darrell are very easy going and truly love what they do! On the day of the wedding Darrell spent the morning taking pictures with the my husband and the groomsmen while Dawn was at the Church with me and my bridesmaids. They took amazing pictures at the Church and then followed up with beautiful photos at Ballantyne Hotel for our reception. The pictures look absolutely amazing and we could not be happier. We expected it to take a little while for the pictures to be uploaded but Dawn worked diligently and had them up just as we were coming home from our honeymoon. We had such a great experience with Dawn and Darrell that I had to post a review for them. I would strongly recommend them to any bride looking for a flexible, fun, and professional photography team. I live in New York City, but got married in Charlotte. My parents dealt with most of the details for the wedding, but the one part that I cared most about was the photographer. I met with at least 7 different people on various trips to NC, and could not be happier with my decision to go with Greyson Steele. Dawn and Darrell bring great variety and style to their work. My husband hates getting his picture taken and ruled out a number of photographers simply because he felt awkward around them. With Darrell however, he was totally at home. Given that my parents were highly involved with the wedding, I can not say enough great things about Dawn. She met with us numerous times (even when a meeting probably wasnt necessary), she was super patient and flexible, and she even gave us some great ideas from other weddings that helped make our event a successs. She even helped me scramble the day of my bridal shoot to find a location that we would be happy with (as the original venue was not going to work out). Overall, excellent service by talented people. You really cant go wrong in working with this team!

My husband and I searched through many a website to find the perfect photographers and it was plain to see Greyson and Steele were the ones. My husband loves photography and he can tell by looking at pictures if the photographers change lenses and lighting etc. which was really important to him. Greyson Steele are so professional and are one of the best at what they do. They felt like part of our family and connected and bonded with both my husband and I as well as all of our guests. They were sympathetic to the fact that my mother suffered a recent brain injury and took a while to get her eyes to focus and face the camera. They got wonderful pictures before the ceremony and after and captured the images that we want to remember forever. Dawn was open to my suggestions and ideas which I like because I am controlling and they caught the touching, emotional parts of the ceremony that I want to remember forever. Greyson Steele truly does make their photographs look like art and I would highly recommend using them.

From start to finish, my experience with Greyson Steele Photography was amazing. Dawn and Darrell were so easy to work with and were just such nice people! They do a great job of making you feel special, even though they work with so many other people. Dawn always responded to my emails within 24 hours and always answered all my questions. I found them through theknot after meeting with a few other photographers that I wasn't thrilled with. Dawn was able to meet with me just a couple days after we initially emailed and I was so happy with them that I booked them that day. I was able to get the exact photography package that I wanted for an extremely reasonable price, which was important for this bride on a budget! On the wedding day, they showed up exactly when they said they would and were totally professional, as always. They did an amazing job at making sure that we got all the different shots that we wanted, all the classic poses and some super fun ones as well! They were so sweet throughout the whole day, even though it was a long day and it was unusually hot for the season, and one of them seemed to always be right there whenever I needed them. As for the pictures, I can't even begin to say how much I love them. (And they were finished 2 weeks early!!) They captured all the love and emotion of the wedding, and helped me remember all the wonderful memories from that day. Their website is super easy to navigate, so all my friends and family have been able to browse the pictures as well. I've received soooo many compliments about how well the pictures turned out. I found Greyson Steele online and immediately loved the work I saw on their website. Having just recently moved to Charlotte from the west coast, I was not at all familiar with wedding vendors in the area but knew I wanted to have our engagement pictures taken here in Charlotte. I sent out an inquiry and heard back from Dawn right away. She is extremely friendly, responsive, and flexible. We had to reschedule our session a few times due to weather and even on the day we took the pictures it was freezing and terribly windy. I was really worried the pictures wouldn't turn out because of this, but I have to say I was pleasantly surprised/thrilled at the finished product! Dawn and her husband did amazing work! I planned my destination wedding from behind a computer in Florida. I found Greyson Steele Photography on theknot.com search engine. I emailed about 5 photographers the day I emailed Greyson Steele and they were the first to respond. On our first trip to the wedding site, Greyson Steele agreed to meet us 1/2 way to reduce traveling time (a 4 hour round trip for them at night in the snow!). Needless to say, we knew their commitment to their work was sound, and that we could trust this team. On the day of the wedding, the husband and wife team showed up ready to work. I didn't have to explain anything to them; they just dove in and took charge. Dawn was with me all day, she took amazing photos, and never once did I feel like I was being pushed or barked at. Matter of fact, she felt like one of the girls and really helped me relax! There were a lot of changes made the day of, and both of them were flexible. Many of my guests commented "Your photographers got every shot...they were at all of the right places at the right moments!" Greyson Steele were the consummate professionals and yet easy to work with and great fun. Dawn was always accessible and helpful during the decision-making process (making arrangements for the wedding party to arrive and setting up limo/transportation). She was flexible with our needs from getting a picture of me with my puppy to dealing with 4 children under 4 that needed to be in the pictures. They held true to their word of using the time before the wedding to get as many pictures as possible and then were around but not in the way during the rest of the reception. The pictures came back just after we returned from our honeymoon and were FABULOUS! Everyone who viewed them gave us rave reviews. If there is any fault, it is the fact that the pictures were so good it made it hard to choose which should make the wedding album! When the album arrived, it was gorgeous. Both of our parents love their parent albums and it's so much fun to look thru the storybook on our coffee table and remember the day! I would (and have) recommend Greyson Steele to any bride and feel confident in the recommendation. I will call on Dawn the next time we need professional pictures.

As I was planning my wedding, I had heard from several other brides to put my money into my pictures. Those are where the memories are. As a bride on a budget I was looking for something affordable, but that would leave me with phenomenal pictures, pictures that would bring back the feelings I had on my wedding day. Greyson Steele Photography was just that. When I first discovered their site, I looked through other wedding pictures and it felt as if I was there. They capture the emotions in their pictures, unlike many other pictures I had seen by other photographers. They offer packages in all price ranges, so you can really find something that suits you and they're super flexible and will change the packages to fit your needs. They're not only extremely talented, they're very personable and a lot of fun. They're very down to earth and will give direction when necessary, but for the most part, they just catch real life moments. They're also really good at editing artistically without making the pictures look overly photoshopped. I keep looking back through my pictures and every time I love them more and more! I'm sooooo happy that I went with them and would recommend them every single bride!

Wow, I feel so incredibly blessed to have worked with Dawn and her husband, Darrell. My mom and I met with Dawn in December and instantly knew that she would be the perfect wedding photographer and she definitely was. I could not be happier with my bridal portraits. I explained to Dawn that I would like a "Pride and Prejudice" setting for my bridal shoot, and she found the most beautiful vineyard in North Carolina. Dawn and Darrell spent a little over two hours taking the most stunning shots. They worked great together and made the atmosphere very laid back and fun. They continued to exchange ideas with one another during the shoot. After the bridal shoot, I was eager to see the photographs and there was a very short wait. Dawn had them uploaded to their site within the next day or two. My pictures looked like I was in a dream world- she edited the photos in a way that left it natural and exquisite. I have to say the same about my wedding photos. I love them...and continue to look at them over and over. Dawn and Darrell captured the essence of the day and they captured some of the sweetest memories of mine and Adam's lives. I am so thankful for all of their hard work, and I am so VERY thankful that we used them as our photographers. :)
