orry about a caterer, DJ or renting center pieces from a vendor sounded like music to our ears. Coupled with the beautiful space and incredible views, we knew we found the perfect place to have our reception.

 Little did we know that two weeks later, we would be working from home and gatherings would be shut down. Through the whole pandemic, Bob worked with us to make sure that we could have the wedding we wanted. They were incredibly accommodating even when we had to push the wedding. Not once, but twice. I know that was not easy for them either. They went above and beyond to make sure that we could have the people there that we wanted. 

We had a wonderful reception. The food was great as well as the snacks provided during the cocktail hour. We even had the hotdog cart set up at the end of the night for a late night snack. 

 The provided DJ’s were incredible. They let us know what they were planning next and asked us what we wanted. They were even patient with the kids giving them requests. 

The bar and wait staff were great! They made sure that the head table was well stocked and were quick to get food out and fill up glasses. 

 Before the wedding, they asked us what we wanted, gave input but ultimately respected our choices. Some of the most fun we had during the wedding planning was planning our reception with them. They made it incredibly easy. They made us feel confident going in knowing that we were taken care of and that nothing was forgotten. 

 The shuttle service was the unsung hero of the night. After everyone had left, the shuttle came back and gave us a nice quiet ride to our hotel. 

If you are considering Visions as your venue for your reception, don’t hesitate. Not only will you not find a more beautiful place but you won’t find a place that puts you first quite as much as Visions.

eriod. However, I think there are a few things couples should be aware of when booking this venue. 1. This venue does charge for all of its extras, even if you choose to bring in your own items. For example, they were going to charge us per champaign glass for toasting. When we said we would bring in our own glasses, they were going to charge a $50 pouring fee, basically making sure the venue received money from us either way. This $50 pouring fee was not clear until right before the event, so we did not have time to come up with an alternative. There are multiple fees that aren't specified upfront that I felt I would have liked to know about ahead of time. 2. We paid much of our event up ahead of time. Several months before our rescheduled ceremony, we asked if we would be refunded everything, but the non-refundable deposit that was specified in our agreement. We were informed that we would not be refunded any of our money despite it only specified in the agreement that only the initial $2,500 was non-refundable. We were able to go ahead with our event regardless, but it felt like it put is in a bind since it would require us to hire a lawyer to get any of our money back. 3. They still required us to pay for the minimum 100 guests at Visions even though they were limited by Michigan executive order to 25 percent of capacity (roughly 60-ish or so). However, the view here is beautiful and Jo was very helpful on the day of our event. The food was very good and we enjoyed not having to clean up much at the end of the night. The ceremony on the bayside grass area went off perfectly and both Bob and Jo were prompt to return phone calls and emails.

(we live about 4 hours from TC). They have a great outdoor and indoor ceremony spots. Because it was cold we held ours in the beautiful atrium. It's nice they do the center pieces so I didn't have to worry about it and focused efforts elsewhere. The reception area has a gorgeous view of the bay. The food was great. For the rehearsal and the day of Joanne was a great coordinator and worked with our officiant to make sure everything went smoothly. You'll be happy you choose Visions.

d the overall organization of putting everything together... can be overwhelming! Bob & Joanne at Visions at Center Pointe made everything easy. Their experience shows, the location was all inclusive so we simply had to make choices from a list! The catering menu was extensive, the alcohol was delivered directly to the venue, and it saved us a lot of work and time. The venue overlooks the bay, so the view was fantastic, (I can't wait to get the photos back) and our guests were impressed by the food, the relaxed living room area, outside balcony, and overall service. I will tell anyone any everyone to get married there, truly. They made it so less stressful and just were amazing. The food was so so good! They are the most down to early, perfect, nice couple ever. The venue is perfect. Ray the DJ Was so sweet, the bridal suite was amazing, the bartenders and everything. Just absolute perfection.

rice. Living in Michigan for the past 10 years, Visions was the PERFECT location! We got stunning marina views from the reception hall with full glass panels throughout. It was truly a dream location! More than that, Bob and Joanne were incredible to work with! Working 80+ hours a week (and planning from Detroit), I didn’t have much time to actually plan a wedding beyond finding my vendors online. Joanne literally takes care of everything from decorations, to coordinating your vendors, and most importantly making sure everything runs smoothly. On top of it all, we actually planned a full Indian wedding, and both Bob and Joanne pulled it off perfectly! They gave us some great recommendations for vendors to use that they’ve worked with in the past. Not being able to meet many of our vendors before I booked, I’m glad I trusted Bob and Joanne for their input. From the moment we considered booking Visions up until the day of, Bob was always super easy to reach, and always very considerate of what we and our guests wanted. The whole experience was very personable and tailored to our vision. My husband and I still can’t believe how PERFECT everything turned out! And the food!!! Our guests are still raving about how delicious everything was! Make sure to order the mac and cheese, it was to die for! I didn’t get the chance to eat much at the reception, but the staff wrapped up some for later, and boy was it delicious. And DJ Ray was INCREDIBLE!! Our friends are still talking about how our wedding was the most fun they had! He was incredible to work it, totally immersed in the whole indian wedding/music for our ceremony, and completed killed it during our reception! He totally felt our vibe with our “must-play” list, and honestly there was no one sitting down during the reception. It was amazing! Please do yourselves a favor, stop looking any further and book at Visions! Everything was flawless, and all because of Bob and Joanne. I can’t thank them enough for our perfect wedding and reception!

DJ, or the view of the bay. I couldn't imagine a better venue to have my wedding at. Joanne was amazing coordinating the whole day and making sure it went perfect. Bob is an amazing chef, all of my guests loved and complimented us on the food. The prime rib was amazing! I would definitely recommend this venue to anyone that is getting married.

d Jo were extremely responsive to any requests and questions before the day of (often within minutes), and were very helpful every step of the way, including room setup throughout the night. We changed plans a bit for playing our dance songs because we wanted to get additional pictures outside and Jo didn't miss a beat to make it happen. Every detail, including coordinating with our vendors, was taken care of. A couple times I went to go coordinate something, or talk to a member of the staff at the reception, and found it was already done and taken care of. The food was excellent. We had the chicken cordon bleu, and slow roasted beef, and upgraded for the smashed potato bar. People are still raving about the food and we got to take some home at the end of the night. The bartender was great and accommodating to the variety of drink ingredients we brought and making signature drinks. Since we were able to bring our own selection of beverages, we brought unique ingredients for our signature drinks that you probably wouldn't find at a lot of venues. Our DJ (Ray) was part of our Visions package. He was very helpful, enthusiastic, and a joy to work with as well and made sure we had a good time. He played a combo of songs we requested, along with others, and got everyone out on the dance floor for a true party when the sun started to set. We had a characterist and he was set up in the perfect spot at Bob and Jo's suggestion. Everyone loved the view and spent quite a bit of time outside on the balcony enjoying the weather. We truly couldn't have asked for better service from everyone involved, including our servers, the owners, bartender, and DJ. Everyone involved at Visions was absolutely wonderful. We are so glad we chose Visions for our reception. It was an experience we will never forget!

bout it. Our one negative review is the DJ we had. At the tasting we asked to switch from John ( who did not show to the tasting) to Ray ( who they said was their best). After speaking with Ray he told us that he was a available for that day and he would be happy to do our wedding as long as it was ok with Bob. A day or two later we received a message that “ Ray had prior commitments and was unable to DJ for us” from Bob. We were assured that John was good but man we’re we mislead. We filled out a music sheet a week in advance with the songs we would like for each dance. Somehow with hand written instructions he managed to mess up our first dance song. When asked about it he stated he didint have that version of the song. Instead of speaking about this to us before hand he left it to be a surprise until we were on the dance floor. Being in 2018 with the World Wide Web at his fingertips one wonders how this is possible? After that I had some other complaints from guests and family that the music selection was terrible. I’m ashamed I had to pay money for the DJ service. A moment that was supposed to be magical was runied by incompetence. I recommend asking for another DJ or hiring your own.

their guidance throughout the whole experience. Every time I called Jo with any questions, she answered her cell. We are from the Detroit area, so we planned the wedding (mostly) from a distance. They recommended great vendors to work with, which made the planning very smooth. So much is included with their packages, and we really didn't have to think about much on the day of the wedding except to enjoy everything and take it all in. The food was delicious -- and they offer SO many choices, from the appetizers to the main courses. You will not get your standard "chicken and mostaccioli" wedding menu here! I can also say that they are extremely affordable, compared to weddings in our area -- but offer so much more. The view of the bay and the boats are just beautiful. We are still receiving compliments on our day. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. I would highly recommend Bob, Jo and Visions to anyone seeking a Traverse City wedding.

d the rest of the wedding remotely with Joe and Bob from Phoenix, Arizona. Everything turned out great. It was the perfect destination wedding...everything we hoped for and more. The bay-side ceremony was beautiful and the views at the reception were unbelievable and unique! We were so happy with everything from the food, to the music to the outstanding views.
