Griffin and the Gargoyles

We hired Griffin and the Gargoyles for our wedding, and we could not have been happier with our choice. We struggled to find a band that fit our style until we stumbled on a video of Griffin and the Gargoyles; their energy and range of music are hard to beat! We loved their extensive song list with every genre we could imagine. They brought so much good energy to our wedding . Our guests could not say enough good things about them.

Griffin and the Gargoyles were great. My wife was a little skeptical of a band, because she felt they may not be able to play the range of music we wanted. She is happy she lost that battle, they kept the entire party dancing all night. The band played a range of music from Patsy Cline to Blink -182. They did an excellent job of reading the room and playing accordingly, our reception would not have been the same without them. We got countless comments from guests on how great the band was. Highly recommend.

I had one band request: "High Energy".. and Griffin and the Gargoyles brought just that! I could not recommend this band more! I had 200 people at my wedding and their song list appeased all age groups! Everyone was on the dance floor from start to finish and that is exactly what we wanted :) I wish I could add a 6th star due to the crowd surfing at the end! Griffin made us feel like celebs on our special night and we couldn't be happier.

The first tim I saw this band was at my friend's wedding 10+ years ago and I remember thinking they were really good. So for my wedding on 9/3 I knew they'd be my first choice. They did not disappoint! We got SO many compliments about this band, they did a fantastic job! Towards the end some of the musicians even paraded around the dance floor which was so unique and fun!

Griffin and the Gargoyles are just fantastic- great music, great at reading the crowd and most importantly - Griffin is so kind and was easy to have at our wedding. Nothing we asked was too much trouble. Our guests raved about the band!

The first thing EVERYONE said to us about our wedding was "THAT BAND!" Griffin and the Gargoyles are incredibly talented, personable, flexible, and fun! They took care of our ceremony music, MCd the whole night, played dinner music, and kept the dance floor PACKED from the moment they started until the moment they ended. They also learned "Simply the Best" for us which gave us not only one of the best memories of the night, but best memories of our life together thus far! WOW! Griffin and the Gargoyles were phenomenal! From the first note, to the very last note, the dance floor was PACKED at my daughter’s wedding! We even had a couple of special requests like keeping all of the “obligatory” dances (Father/Bride, etc.) to under 2 minutes, and they did a great job. So happy we chose this band!

We hired Griffin and his team for our wedding and it was one of the best decisions we made! Never have I been to a wedding where the dance floor was PACKED ALL NIGHT like ours. Every song they played was a hit and their band even came into the audience and interacted with the guests - it was fantastic. We hired Griffin and the Gargoyles for our wedding this past Saturday, and I seriously wish I could re-live it all over again and again. I have never been to a wedding that the dance floor was completely full the entire night, until ours... which is all thanks to Griffin & the band. We received compliments all night of how amazing the music was and that "this is how a wedding should be, a PARTY!". I highly suggest adding the horns for the full piece band, they were so much fun. They even interacted on the dancefloor which our guests absolutely loved. Their manager, Gretchen, was so responsive and helpful on any questions we had. Absolutely no complaints!!! I could not recommend them enough.

If you are looking for a wedding band in St. Louis, Griffin and the Gargoyles is the perfect choice. They played our daughter's wedding at Union Station last month and they were fabulous! The dance floor was full all evening and so many of our guests commented on how great the music was. We all had so much fun! Their management team is extremely professional and was happy to answer all of our questions and made sure to be attentive to every detail.

I have been to so many weddings and each time Griffin and the Gargoyles are the ones playing, the dance floor lights up. We knew when we got married we had to have them for our reception. And they did not disappoint. Griffin played all of our requested songs and the majority of our guests were on the dance floor the entire night. If you are wanting a band to make your party come alive, there isn't a better band in St. Louis out there. They were well worth the money to make our reception the best night. Their management team was extremely accommodating and friendly during the entire process as well. They were very helpful and responsive with questions I had about timeline, limitations at our venue, etc. Overall, my experience with Griffin and their team was exceptional.

We had them for our wedding at Innsbrook on 10/16. Every part of the wedding was great, but the band was definitely the best part. They were amazing and kept everyone on the dance floor all night!

Griffin & The Gargoyles provided a great evening of live entertainment at our daughter’s wedding reception! The event was held at the St. Louis Art Museum this fall during the pandemic, and we were anxious about following all the protocols to ensure safety throughout the evening. You can’t go wrong with Griffin and the Gargoyles! We had the 6 piece band for our wedding reception and it was a hit! Everyone kept asking me how I picked such a good band. They kept everyone on the dance floor the whole time! We definitely recommend them for a wedding reception! Also Gretchen was amazing in helping with the planning.

We hired them for our NYE wedding. They did an amazing job! They played a full range of music, from 60's to modern hip hop, and transitioned flawlessly. The dance floor was filled the whole night. I don't think we could have had a better experience! We had extra brass and it was well worth it. Griffin was very thoughtful and even took some time to chat with us briefly before the event to iron out some details. Would highly recommend them.

Griffin and the Gargoyles were the perfect band for our daughter and son-in-law's wedding. Griffin, Lindsey, Melrick, Rich, Christian, Aaron, and Tanner were the perfect combination of musicians! Tanner and his saxophone made a grand entrance as he led the bridal party into the reception to a New Orleans style second line. We loved it!! We got married this past labor day weekend and are so happy that we booked Griffin! They did an amazing job and kept everybody dancing the entire night! The band also learned specific music that we requested for the Hora set which made it even more special!

My wife and had our wedding this past February at the Four Seasons. When we were planning, she would ask me what was important to me for this wedding. I told her was the two most important things to me was that we had good food and that we had a great band. We spent a good month deciding on which band to use and one always stuck out which was of course Griffin and the Gargoyles. We hired them and I can honestly say that I have never seen so much excitement on the dance floor than I did at my wedding. From the moment we started mentioning that we wanted a band for our wedding, people were referring us to Griffin and the Gargoyles. It was the best decision we made in regards to music for our wedding. We booked them without even hearing them live and we weren't disappointed one bit. After booking them, we made it to a local bar they performed and couldn't wait for our wedding to hear them again. We were rocking all night long at our wedding. Our dance floor was packed the entire time they performed. My husband rarely dances and he was dancing more than I could have dreamed. We got so many compliments after the wedding about the band and we owe it to Griffin and the Gargoyles. They are a delight to work with, including the office staff (Gretchen and Bradley) who coordinate the band's schedule. Definitely go with a band and pick them. We will definitely try to catch more of their gigs in the future. They are truly a blast.

Griffin & the Gargoyles – simply the best! We had 5 musicians and 2 vocalists (one is Griffin). My wife learned of the group from another bride who advised booking before doing any other wedding planning once you know your date is firm – we were one year in advance - Gretchen and Contemporary Productions were great. Father of the groom complimented the group during cocktails, especially liked the jazz keyboard work. Volume appropriate for dinner, our table often paused conversation to listen to the vocals. Then dancing began – great energy, broad mix of covers and range – they definitely read the group and dancers, more recent numbers as the evening went on and then younger dancers dominated the floor; vocals fully reminiscent of original artists, but adding their own uniqueness (pretty remarkable) that kept me listening - . Dancers, wedding party were up til the end, applauding the close. Griffin noted the group learned 2 new numbers at the request of my wife. If you can, book them! We continue to look for Griffin and the Gargoyles for their occasional sets, open air concerts around town.

Griffin and his band were amazing. They learned our song for our first dance and played great songs all night long. They definitely know how to read the crowd and know when to play what type of music. Griffins’ voice is fabulous and the band absolutely nails every cover they perform. They are extremely professional. Any wedding where they are performing will be a good time.

We were told from A LOT of our guests that this was the best reception they have ever gone to. Griffin and the Gargoyles are the absolute best band-do not think about choosing anyone else. We had guests from age 6 to 80 and everyone in between and the music choices pleased everybody! Our 'must have' list of songs were played and the band members are genuinely nice people. The production company you go through to book is also very accommodating and easy to work with. Highly recommend! We could have partied all night-the dance floor was never empty!

Well first off, they are the best band. Their ability to play all types of music is awesome and they had everyone on the dance floor. It was crazy!!! And thank you for letting our new grandson up on stage to play the electric piano, it looked like a guitar. He couldn't believe he got to do that and was losing his mind. Where do we begin!!! From the moment they started playing until the last song they had the dance floor packed. They can play all types of songs perfectly, so many compliments! Griffin & Gargoyles rock, literally!!!!!!! They had my stepson on stage who is 8 playing the electric guitar, he was beside himself. Thank you Griffin you made our reception beyond perfect.

Griffin & the Gargoyles is legit the best wedding band I have ever heard...and I have attended a lot of weddings. Griffin was so accommodating with us, as we were an out of town bride and groom. He met with us prior to our wedding right before going out of town to get a feel for our personalities. Griffin understood what type of music we wanted to hear on our wedding night and played a great mix of songs that was perfect for wedding guests! This band MADE our wedding. The dance floor was PACKED non-stop. They were very flexible and easy to work with. They are work every penny!

Griffin was great to work with and kept our guests on the dance floor ALL night! We received SO many compliments on our band! They truly led the event, facilitated the flow, and ensured everyone had a blast. Our uncle loved them so much that he went up to them and offered to pay them $1000 for another hour.

We were lucky to book Griffin and the Gargoyles without ever even hearing them. They came highly recommended and the thing we cared most about at our wedding was music and dancing. They could not have been any easier to work with and were very accomadating of our choices. They were excellent at our wedding and many of our out of town guests even said they were the best wedding band they had ever heard.

We had Griffin at our wedding in October. They are a fantastic Band. I knew planning my wedding I had to have them. They played at my sisters wedding 5 years ago, at another friends wedding 4 years ago, and each time, they were amazing. They are pretty expensive, it used to be less, but since they are so popular, the price has increased. But they were so amazing that it's worth it to splurge on this. Contemporary Productions was the company I worked with to book them. Bradley was really nice and helpful. It was frustrating that we payed quite a lot for booking the band, that if they did not know a song, it would cost a lot of money for them to learn it. So we did not have a lot of choices for the Bride and Groom, father daughter, and mother son dances. When they did play though, they sounded amazing and really get the crowd involved.

We had Griffin and the Gargoyles play at our daughter's wedding September 19th and couldn't have been happier with the sound, songs, excitement, fun, and crowd on the dance floor! Our guests had a fabulous time and owe it to G&G for putting on such a wonderful show and knack for getting everyone on their feet. All my daughter's dreams came true; she said weddings are more fun with a great band...and we feel we had the best!! Worth. Every. Single. Penny.

Griffin & the Gargoyles were slightly out of our initial music budget, but I am so glad we splurged! They were outstanding, our guests were raving about them all night, and they created such a fabulous atmosphere from playing standards during dinner (which packed the dancefloor between bites) and fun dance music all night long. I booked Griffin and the Gargoyles for our daughter's wedding and had never heard them perform. I had read so many good things about them, however, that I knew we were in for a treat. They were simply amazing! They played Rat Pack-type music during dinner and then switched over to contemporary music and it was nothing short of amazing! The dance floor was filled all night long! We first heard Griffin & the Gargoyles at Café O at the Chase. We were so impressed with how they engaged the the people on the dance floor for the entire evening!!! We have used Griffin for 2 of our daughters weddings and have booked them for a 3rd wedding next summer. We feel they are part of our family! We LOVE,LOVE,LOVE them!! They are incredible musicians, singers, etc. and interact so well with guests out on the dance floor. Our guests of all ages were out on the dance floor until the end of the evening and are still talking about how much they enjoyed them. We can't wait to dance the night away again with them next summer!

When I ask my friends if they had fun at our wedding, they all say the same thing, "The band was AWESOME!" And it's true. G&G totally made a rockin' reception. Our guests were on the floor from 7 pm until 10:45 pm because the hits just kept on on coming. And not only that, but they were also extremely customer-focused. They learned our first song (in just a week because it was advertised as something they played on their website and I was disappointed they didn't know it anymore), and made all the traditional wedding activities like bouquet and garter toss super fun. You will not regret hiring this band - they are amazing!

We found Griffin and the Gargoyles via their website as we were planning our wedding in St. Louis from Seattle. We actually crossed our fingers and booked the seven piece band prior to us seeing them perform live (we were able to get to St. Louis and see them live prior to the wedding). We couldn't have been more pleased with their actual performance during the reception! I think I only left the dance floor for one song (as the bride)! Griffin coordinated with us prior to the reception to find out which songs we loved and which to avoid. Our first dance song they played was AMAZING! (Sister Hazel - This Kind of Love). The dance floor was always full and their song versatility (country, rap, 80's rock, etc.) is second to none. We would 100% recommend them to any bride/groom planning their wedding.

I would highly recommend! The band kept the crowd dancing literally the entire night. Of our entire wedding, our band by far received the most compliments. Could not have been more pleased how they turned out!

We had Griffin and the Gargoyles travel to Chester, IL to play at our wedding. They were outstanding. Everyone in town is still talking about how great they were and how much fun they had at the wedding. I would definitely recommend this band!

Coordination was not very easy, and they didn't play many of the "must play" list, and ended up playing some of the "do not play" list. Was happy with how they sounded and how they kept the guests dancing.

The best ever!!!! Totally recommend...they are worth every penny! Our dance floor was so crowded ALL night long!

We hired this band to play at our wedding in July. They were great-draw a big crowd on the dance floor. However, getting ahold of them is the problem; it took about 2 weeks to reach them after I had signed my contract and gave a down payment. Griffin wanted to go over details the morning of my wedding, which absolutely didnt work for me! If you can pin them down, they are worth the stress!
