ter they flaked out on me, I was left scrambling to find a florist about two months before our wedding. The stars aligned, and G&G happened to have my Friday date available. After meeting with Jeff to discuss my vision, inspiration photos, etc. I knew it was the right fit and I hired him to do all the florals for my November wedding at the Barnett. I planned the wedding myself and changed my mind on every aspect at least twice (except my choice of groom haha), and Jeff was more than accommodating not only to the changes I had requested, but he was also extremely helpful in rounding out my vision… taking my crazy Excel-based “vision board” and making recommendations for different flowers and greenery to tailor the inspiration photos to a unique look just for my wedding at a price point I was comfortable with. Based on all of our interactions, I had 100% confidence that Jeff was more than capable (and I really don’t know flowers) so I let go of control and gave him the creative liberty to “do what he does best.” Fast forward to wedding day… would you believe that the florist truck got a flat tire on the way to drop off the bouquets and boutonnières? I couldn’t either. A bride who obsessed over every last detail might panic when the flowers were late. I did. However, I reached out to Jeff to see what was going on and let me tell you, that man took care of business. I believe he was also obsessed with every last detail, and he immediately called the driver to see what was going on, called me back, set a REALISTIC timeline for when we would have the flowers, and pivoted the drop off location to the central library, where we were shooting wedding party shots before the Barnett. I had to trust that they would be there after our first look photos. As promised, the delivery driver was waiting for us as our trolley arrived at the library (HUGE sigh of relief) and my goodness, the bouquets were out-of-this-world gorgeous!! Then, we arrived at the Barnett. I’m telling you, I walked into the venue (which speaks for itself - I really was worried about overdoing it), and I was floored with how beautiful it was… Jeff and his crew were there taking care of every last detail, just how I had envisioned it, only better. We were there a couple hours early for photos, so the florist crew kept working and I don’t know how, but they just kept making it look better and better leading up to the ceremony. As we were pronounced husband and wife, Jeff and team executed a “petal drop” over the altar as we shared our first kiss. It was a dream. After the ceremony, they stayed for the room flip - incorporating every last flower from the ceremony into the reception decor, and then some. They worked with the caterer to set up each table with the centerpieces and place settings with fresh eucalyptus. Our wedding was STUNNING in very large part to Jeff and his Grimm & Gorly team. Something is bound to go wrong, but I truly believe Jeff takes his events very seriously and I couldn’t have asked for a better florist to handle what life threw at us that day. I’m so impressed and grateful!! Jeff, if you are reading this, thank you from the bottom of my heart for giving me the wedding of my dreams!
