We didn't know quite what we wanted at the beginning and he really listened to us, and helped guide us toward exactly what we were looking for. Working with Richard is an amazing and fun process, he goes above and beyond to realize your vision and I can't recommend him highly enough. The women who work with him, Zanna and Caitlin, are incredibly kind and knowledgeable, and the shop dog, Coco, is a ton of fun! I wish I could give him more stars :)

Mine was purchased, and Richard was able to size my husband's grandfather's ring perfectly (there is a small design that we were worried about stretching and distorting). I never thought of myself as a person who has their own "jeweler" but this team is amazing, always knows your name, your story, and exactly what you need. We love to go in now just to say hello and see what's new!

e rings that we loved. As a surprise, my fiancé took Richard my grandmother’s diamond and together they designed a custom engagement ring for me. I was completely shocked at the intricate beauty of the piece! I am proud to wear it each day. Together we decided to go back to Richard for our wedding bands. We tried on different display rings he had and compared them together. Richard was honest with my fiancé and I about what he thought looked best and I trust his opinion greatly. I am beyond happy with what I picked out. My fiancé had a custom platinum ring made, which was done in just a couple short weeks. I would recommend this designer to anyone! He has fair prices, amazing gemstones and custom, handmade designs. He works in all metals and they are of the highest quality. Richard told my fiancé that during the creation of my engagement ring, the gold didn’t turn out exactly how he wanted so he scrapped it and started again. Only a true jeweler would do something like that and take such pride in their work. This shop is beautiful and relaxing and they have an adorable dog, Cocoa, that spends time in the shop. I am impressed with all of the pieces we have from Richard.

tic designs that it was almost impossible to choose, especially since we also knew that he would have created a custom design just for us, but in the end we found two different ring designs that reflected our individual personalities and complemented each other. We were able to choose the metal we wanted and even custom engrave the inside of our rings. Grinstein was so easy to work with, even though we were ordering long distance. They sent us photos of designs to choose from in addition to what was on their website, and arranged to send us the rings through FedEx in perfect timing for our wedding day. And when we goofed up measuring our ring sizes using an online chart - entirely our fault - they were so gracious and willing to work with us. They sent us a plastic ring sizer and adjusted our rings to make sure that they fit. Now we have a unique and special memento of our wedding that fits us both literally and aesthetically. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Grinstein Jewelry & Design to anyone I knew who was getting married, or who needed jewelry for a special occasion. I know I will be back for my next special occasion.

He said during this process that customer satisfaction is more important than any individual sale and you can tell he really means it. There was no pressure from Richard to make a decision or purchase at any point, which is not the experience we had at several other shops. Richard also is very creative and was able to come up with my dream engagement ring design, even when I wasn't 100% sure what I wanted. Richard was able to work within our desired budget and give us a variety of stone and metal options to achieve different looks without exceeding our price point. Richard also provided professional photos and documents for insurance, and guided us through the whole jewelry purchasing process. Caitlin and Zanna were both very helpful and responsive throughout the process as well- and who couldn't love Coco the shop dog?! Outside of his stellar quality of work and demeanor, Richard is a longtime owner of this local business, and does a lot of work in the community to support other businesses, student art, etc. Even if the style of most of his jewelry lines isn't 'your style' he can truly create anything you may have in mind for engagement and wedding rings and I can't say enough about how made this process stress free. I would recommend to anyone to visit Richard at Grinstein Jewelry and Design.
