Originally founded by Ryan Griz back in 2005, the company has since grown to incorporate a number of team members. Clients receive access to a mobile app which allows them to communicate their preferences to the DJs. They can build customized playlists, search through a catalog of songs, and create timelines for the event. The app gives total control to the happy couple and allows them to get hands-on with the entertainment planning. Once the big day arrives, DJ Ryan Griz Entertainment runs the show so that you can get up and groove to your favorite hits. To add to their musical prowess, they can also provide lighting to transform your venue into party central. What’s more, the business also offers a photo booth service for capturing all the lighthearted fun.

We are so grateful we hired Griz as our DJ and entertainment option! Our DJ, Matt, was a delight. He met with us a good chunk of time before the wedding to get an idea of the vibe we wanted for our night. Griz uses an app called Vibo that made it supremely easy for us to communicate how our evening would flow, when we would need the DJ, and what music we absolutely wanted (or didn’t want) to hear. Matt played every song on our playlist and more. Guests danced the night away. Matt also worked with us to ensure the music was on point for a more elaborate and silly first dance. He’s a great DJ and a really nice guy.
We’re also so grateful for the 360• video booth Griz provided. Our guests had a blast. People were using it all night long.
We absolutely LOVE Griz Entertainment! We don’t even want to call them a DJ service because I feel like they did so much more than what you’d hire a DJ to do. They are absolutely an entertainment company for your wedding day.
One thing I would say is to do whatever upgrades you can do! One of the best things that they did for us was get our wedding monogram with our initials. I designed a custom one, and then they literally made it into a light that they shined up on a giant rock wall in Moab. At night, the guests were absolutely freaking out, and said it was the coolest thing they had ever seen at a wedding 😂 People literally said, “Am I crazy, or are your initials on the mountain??!!!” “how did you do that? That is SICK!” the comments about our initials in the mountain were seriously so funny. At the very least, you’ve GOT to make sure to book that with them! Seeing our initials on the mountain under the Moab starry night sky was truly epic!
I would also highly recommend the Griz Mobile and the 360 video booth! First of all, the Griz mobile was such a cool vibe! Nobody else has a DJ in a revamped VW bus just absolutely lighting up the dance floor 😂 We had one main request for our AMAZING DJ / Emcee Matt, “Keep everyone dancing!” And believe me, he succeeded. It was our main goal to have the most lit dance floor in wedding history, and I’d say we absolutely did. We had SO much fun, he was awesome with sticking to our music selections and switching it up when needed. Not only that, but Matt brought such a good vibe! He was happy, fun, lively, and kept the mood up the entire night! Not only was he fantastic with the music, but he was SO great about emceeing all the special moments of the night! My fiancé teased me and said, “You gave more speaking parts and requests for him than any other bride probably ever has”. I’m sure he is not wrong haha, but Matt was perfect! I even had him announce special moments with some very specific comments during times like the moment I came out in my husband’s grandma’s wedding gown!
This is a long review, but I want you to know all the things 😂 If you can, I would also suggest the 360 video booth. It was AWESOME! Our guests had so much fun using this! They even have an amazing Photo Booth from the back of the Griz Mobile, and our guests had a lot of fun with that. It was really special looking out, seeing our guests enjoy themselves so much! A massive part of this was truly thanks to Griz Entertainment! The lights, the vibes, overall they are 100/10 ✨ I hope to have another big event someday so that I can book them again!! Thank you so much to Matt, David and the Griz Entertainment team! You guys are the best, and truly made our day so much better than we could have imagined!!
We hired Matt for our wedding and everything was absolutely wonderful!! While Matt was setting up the equipment he was just so excited to be there and asking if there was anything I needed as the bride as I was getting ready. What a nice guy! Not to mention the EPIC dance party. We had a few songs that we wanted him to be sure to play and he did not play those few songs BUT I didn't even notice until the day after because EVERYONE had such a fun time. We were on the dance floor all night long. He even got a great video of our tandem bike exit from a different view than anyone else had. What a gem. 10/10 recommend!
Griz entertainment was exactly what I wanted in a DJ for our wedding. We personally booked with Nico, and he was awesome. He played the songs I asked for, made sure to clear any changes with me before proceeding, and kept the dance floor going. Nico really knew how to entertain the crowd, was an awesome emcee, and was very professional and fun. We had many guest comment on how great the music was, and that they though the sound quality during the ceremony was excellent. We also booked their photo booth. They brought props, and had someone running the booth the whole night. It was perfect. Highly recommend Nico, and this company as a whole.
We can't recommend using Griz Entertainment highly enough! Our DJ Ty was so easy to work with- he was communicative and super helpful in the weeks leading up to our wedding and day-off he was excellent. I never once had to worry or stress about the music or song selection, and Ty was an absolute hit on our dance floor. He was so accommodating and friendly with all of our friends. Our guests all had a blast and we are so, so grateful to have had Ty at our wedding. 10/10 would hire him again.
We can't thank Nico + the team at Griz more!! Our guests had the most incredible time and we were able to dance the night away!! The app was incredibly easy to use and REALLY helped us in the planning phase!! 100% recommend using Griz!! Also we loved the photo booth!! I was able to make out template for the photos and they came with a book for everyone to write in and tape the pictures!! 10/10!!
Griz was so great for our wedding! The company as a whole is great with communicating. Any time I had a question I had gotten a response almost immediately. They’re thorough and very organized with how they set up your music timeline! We paid extra for Ryan Griz himself and it was definitely worth it! If I ever needed a DJ again, I definitely wouldn’t hesitate to use Griz Entertainment again! :)
Griz Entertainment and Nico were great to work with! The app made it super easy to pick which songs we wanted and which ones we didn’t. It was easy to customize the when we wanted to certain songs to be played. Nico was on top of everything and kept the party going! The dance floor was pumping!! Thanks Griz and Nico!!

We loved working with Griz Entertainment, they are extremely organized, timely in answering my many questions, coordinated sharing their sound system with our band and the Vibo app they used to organize our music was SO easy to use. Nico was our DJ and he was everything we could have ever wanted! He was great about following up prior to our wedding to feel out our vision, he was timely, fun and kept the party going all night! Highly recommend him!
From the very start, Griz Entertainment was incredibly easy to work with. To start, they list out all of their services and costs in a very straightforward way that allows you to customize service based on your needs and budget. They use an app (Vibo) that was very intuitive and easy to use. Through the app you select all of the special moment songs and the overall vibe you are looking for. Once we got paired up with our DJ, Nico, I knew we were in good hands. Nico and the whole team were super responsive anytime we had questions leading up to the big day!
Nico is a very talented DJ who knows how to MC a great dance party! Our guests were out on the dance floor the entire night, which is exactly what we had hoped for. Nico did a great job of reading the room and playing all the right tunes. Absolutely zero complaints! We are still getting compliments about Nico’s skills! 10/10 recommend Griz and specifically Nico to DJ your upcoming wedding or event!
Can't say enough about DJ Matt LaRocca and Griz's overall efforts to make things easy and seamless for us. Matt played some great music, was upbeat and positive, and kept the crowd dancing until late. I would recommend these guys to anyone!
These guys are AMAZING! Nico was our wedding DJ and he did an incredible job! Kaci and Ryan did a great job communicating with us throughout the planning process and walked us through what to expect in the months prior to our wedding. They use a planning app which allows you to add your music preferences and plan on your own time, without having to meet in-person on a frequent basis. Nico was very accommodating to my busy schedule and is an amazing DJ! Nico and his lovely assistant are very detail-oriented and made the night stress-free. We got so many compliments about our DJ and ceremony music that night!
Our wedding was absolutely amazing and everything we could have ever asked for and a HUGE part of it was our DJ! We had DJ Starr! Starr was the best DJ ever! Starr was able to get the party going from the beginning and that is exactly what we wanted. Starr kept the crowd 100% involved and we had sooo many of our friends and family the day after our wedding telling us how fun our DJ was and we couldn’t agree more! I 100000% recommend DJ Starr with griz entertainment!
DJ Starr was an absolute pleasure to work with, I have an interesting bunch as far as family and she was so easy going, on top of things and made it feel so smooth while transitioning from event to event. We had so many people on the dancefloor up until the very last song, and we got so many compliments on how our DJ was killing it! I highly recommend this company; I was that bride that was on the fence about spending money on a DJ but I promise you its worth every penny - a good DJ/music can make or break an event. Not to mention Starr was so kind, fun, and made things so easy. 10/10 would recommend!!
We had an absolute blast at our wedding and a huge part of that was the DJ! We had DJ Matt and he made our wedding one huge party which is exactly what we wanted. We even ended up doing karaoke which was a huge hit!! In addition, he played every single song that we wanted for the selected songs (I.e. first dance, father daughter, etc). We also had a do not play list that he adhered to. There was a photo booth as well which was a hit. Oh and not to mention they had an app which made things extremely easy and organized for song selections. Definitely would recommend this vendor, especially Matt!
Nico and his team were FANTASTIC! We had a blast working with Nico and planning the ceremony and reception playlist. He and his team were extremely flexible with ceremony delays and real troopers with unforeseen weather. Their expertise created lasting memories that will be tied to certain songs. The app that was used to create the script really streamlined the process of creating timelines and playlists for the event. The photo booth was a great addition to capture funny pictures (I love the team picture)! Huge thank you to Nico and his team and I hope to work with them in the future!
With all of the stress of wedding planning, I would sometimes forget about certain deadlines, but our DJ, Nico, always made sure to give me reminders. He was helpful throughout the whole process, asked lots of questions about what we wanted, and gave me great advice anytime I asked. He was super flexible! Even during the reception, if there was anything I wanted to change, he was willing to do it! I'm so happy with how everything turned out! We are so thankful for Nico and GRIZ!

Matt was attentive to our playlist and he was overall a very fun person to be around. He was fantastic with my 10 year old cousin who wanted to “help him dj” the entire night and made him feel welcome the entire time.

Everybody loved Kaci! We got so lucky to have her as our DJ. She was sweet, accommodating and rocking. She took all our requests on their app which was very convenient. We and our guests danced all night and enjoyed very much.
The lighting was wonderful and created such a beautiful ambience for our evening. Ryan's planning was perfect and the wedding pictures have come out to be very surreal.

Unprofessional, inadequate, and they use their app to explain away there own ineptitude. Waaaaaay, better off to rent your own speakers and play your own playlist. Do not gamble your event of these clowns.
Diana MADE our night. She was an absolute rockstar from the initial communication to the execution of our vision. She listened to our wishes and perfectly customized the whole event! We wanted our guests to dance all night long, and that’s what they did. We couldn’t be happier with how our wedding turned out, and thank you for making that possible.

We got married at Whispering Oaks Ranch in Moab, UT on 9/5/21 (we got COVID postponed from the September 2020) and Ryan was very responsive throughout the whole process and helpful when we had to postpone.
His app was very thorough so there were no miscommunications. Totally smooth and easy process from start to finish. He did a great job of moving the ceremony along and when it came to the reception, we told him we wanted to dance and he delivered! His mix was amazing - he didn't just play a bunch of songs back to back. His song selection was totally on point, always reading the crowd and keeping the party going. He kept our whole crowd dancing all night and we had the absolute best time. I really can't recommend him highly enough.
Ryan and Griz Entertainment made an amazing day even more AMAZING! His sound and equipment were clear and made hearing the ceremony, vows, & speeches easy for all to enjoy in an outside CO mountain setting. His music made the night even more of a party! His ability to read the atmosphere and mood of guests did not go unnoticed. Highly recommend!

Ryan and Griz Entertainment were great! Our main objective was for our guest to have fun on the dance floor and Ryan was the main reason (along with a fun wedding party) that we were able to achieve that. One of our main vendors did not show up & Ryan was extremely flexible about altering his set up and MCing the night through the various changes that needed to be made due to the no - show. Ryan was a great time, we highly suggest booking Griz Entertainment as your DJ!
Ryan was amazing! Without his energy, flexibility and expertise our daughter's wedding would not have been the same. The caterer didn't show and thus the night's timeline was drastically adjusted, often! The clarity of his mics for an outdoor ceremony was perfect. Everyone heard the special vows, everyone heard the touching speeches and everyone danced to the well played music! I highly recommend Ryan.
DJ Ryan Griz is the best hands down! He was a great DJ, but also such a nice person! He truly is the reason our wedding was so much fun. He made the perfect music selections, knew how to read the crowd, and was patient with us when we still hadn’t made some music selections a week out from the wedding (I couldn’t make my mind up). Guests of all ages were on the dance floor having a blast. Guests were having so much fun dancing, we added another hour to the end of our wedding and he never complained once. The personalized monogram was also an awesome addition. Thank you so much, DJ Ryan Griz! You were awesome to work with!
We really enjoyed working with Ryan and Griz Entertainment. They had an app and process that made pre-wedding planning very easy. They were also very flexible when it came to last minute changes. We were very impressed with how well they read the party and were able to play music to set the right dancing mood. No complaints. Would definitely look to use again.

I was blown away at the professionalism and quality of everything. Went above and beyond and thought of things that I would have never even thought of. What I loved is that you could be as 100% involved from the details of every single light and every single song including what exact second to start the song from. Or leave that up to his professionalism. Certain aspects I was completely involved and anal with and other things I left up to his professionalism. And both went 100% smoothly and professional and even above and beyond what I imagined. I will use Ryan for every single even from now on in the area!! The absolute best.
From the very beginning Ryan was amazing to work with. We were one of the unfortunate couples that our wedding was affected by Covid, and we made the decision to carry on as planned with a smaller crowd, Ryan was SO helpful, and always so quick to respond to my panicked messages throughout the year!
We got married at the Hotel Colorado in Glenwood Springs, and I felt like he took care of every thing! From the up lights to the set up and break down, he made me feel at ease as a bride! You will be doing yourself the biggest favor when hiring this man for your wedding! He commands the room and makes the entire process easy and smooth! Kyle and I cannot say enough about DJ Griz and our Wedding. From the photo booth, to the sound for the ceremony, coordinating with our Band etc. We could not have had our wedding without Ryan. Ryan made sure things kept moving along which is one of my biggest pet peeves at a Wedding. He made sure things ran timely and kept the party going. I cannot recommend him enough! You will not be disappointed.
Honestly, besides marrying the man of my dreams, DJ Ryan Griz was the best wedding decision ever! Originally, we had booked another DJ for our wedding and when we found out Ryan was available we canceled and went to him. He has been in Western Colorado for many years and has an outstanding reputation. From the very beginning of the process to the wedding night he was wonderful. From the customer service, to the amazing app and the coordination of all the events of our wedding, Ryan made everything stress free which is exactly what you need when you're getting married. He smoothly transitioned the reception from speeches, first dance, garter toss, etc. You can absolutely tell that he has ample experience and it made our wedding night truly spectacular. I wouldn't hire any other DJ. Thanks Ryan!
DJ Ryan Griz Entertainment and their crew - Chad and Chase - did a phenomenal job at being DJ for our wedding ceremony and reception. They were responsive to questions leading up to the big day and for the day of Chad and Chase made things so easy as the timeline sped up in places and slowed in others. Chad also did a great job reading the crowd and playing crowd pleasing music getting us all up on the dance floor! DJ Ryan Griz threw the best reception dance party for us at San Sophia/Allred’s!!! Ryan already came highly recommended, but we were still nervous, as we love to listen to music and dance. He did not disappoint and kept a majority of people on the dance floor ALL NIGHT! Not only that, but he did the music and outdoor audio for the ceremony. Everything worked out fantastic. I heard great reviews from people in the crowd about how wonderful it was to actually hear the whole ceremony and vows while being in an outdoor setting. The pre-planning was exceptional too… detailed forms for personal info, a few planning calls, and quick email responses. He set up the Vibo app that breaks down the different parts of the wedding day, and you can add music that you want to hear, which was really cool. Ryan was great to work with! He quickly and professionally handled a couple balls I let drop and worked very well with my coordinator to keep the ceremony and reception flowing beautifully. He read the crowd well and kept the music selection fitting for the atmosphere. Furthermore, his dance floor and pinspot lighting truly brought the venue to life. DJ Ryan Griz was awesome to work with. He was very accessible from the planning stages to day-of. He had just switched services for a song list management tool, and he was right there to make sure I was having success using it. The service he uses to build lists is clean, intuitive, and has any song you could possibly want. Additionally, I had a couple songs that required him to mix and shorten to fit the ceremony, and he did so flawlessly, with very little direction. If you want a DJ that will help you create your own tailored mood, and can also easily improvise with the rest, look no further. Also - he hooked us up with a demo personalized DJ booth graphic, and it looked amazing. He is so friendly, accessible, and just did an amazing job. Highly recommend DJ Ryan Griz and thanks again!!!
DJ Ryan Griz and Chenoa did a fantastic job with sound for our ceremony, dinner, and reception- and for a very reasonable price! Ryan answered every single detailed question I had before the big day so that I could rest assured our wedding planning was on track. He went the extra mile to track down our monogram logo, which was stuck in the mail, and make sure it go to our venue in time. They brought all of their own equipment and worked smoothly with the venue staff. Chenoa crushed it as our reception DJ, getting everyone on the dance floor regardless of age or music preference. Throughout the entire experience, Ryan and Chenoa kept the fun high and stress low. Choosing your wedding DJ is a big decision- it can make or break your night. Choose DJ Ryan Griz and you will be in very good hands!
Ryan did a wonderful job at our wedding. He was great to work with in the planning phase, and his website was easy to use. The music throughout the night was perfect and he did such a good job with the microphones which were setup perfectly for the windy situation we found ourselves in during the ceremony. We were very happy with Ryan and would recommend him to anyone without hesitation.
DJ Ryan Griz was so great! We would recommend him to anyone. His online dashboard was easy to use and helpful in the planning process. He had everyone out on the dance floor all night. He was able to play specific songs we wanted that were not on his dashboard with no problem. He was easy to work with and very friendly. We had multiple family members and guests comment on how great he was. He was engaged with the crowd enough where it kept the night moving along nicely but wasn't over the top. He also was very budget friendly. We were able to get awesome lights set up in addition to the music and it was perfect.
We could not say enough good things about DJ Ryan! Our guests also mentioned several times how good our DJ was! His online forms were easy to use and super nice! He played songs that kept people out on the dance floor! We also used some of his lighting services, and they were perfect—I told him we wanted ambiance but not a disco and it was amazing!He did just a super awesome job, and I can’t say enough good things about him!
Planning the music for the wedding was easy with the online planning feature offered by DJ Ryan Griz. We had traditional and non-traditional music for the ceremony, and Ryan (and his other DJs) were able to accommodate all the music requested for it! Ryan is also flexible w/ pricing packages which helped us stay in our budget. Everyone at the wedding was dancing and having a great time! The only thing I would have changed was the microphone situation. The microphone for me and my husband to use did not work, but we were able to use the microphone that was clipped on the officiant's shirt, and every one said they could hear our vows (so it all worked out).
Chenoa was our DJ and she was absolutely perfect! When I emailed Ryan it was because my DJ had canceled on me. He was very reassuring and responded quickly to all of my emails. He set me up with Chenoa and she even took time out of her busy schedule to meet and go over everything with us before the big day. She kept everything on track and even was able to run interference with my family on the big day! She was so pleasant and really knew how to make the night epic! It was like having a professional family member who was dedicated to making my night perfect! I highly recommend Ryan Griz and his team!
Ryan was very friendly, professional and easy to work with. He has a great online planning website that is super helpful and makes things smooth and easy. Communicating with him in the process leading up he was really responsive and able to accommodate and get a couple different songs we wanted that weren’t in his library. We used his uplighting which was really great and a fun element to have for the reception, highly recommend if it works for your venue. We ended up having guests make a lot of different song requests which we really didn’t care and were glad to see Ryan accommodate all of them and interact with the guests so well. I will say some of the song transitions were strange and kind of interrupted the song and abruptly faded and changed in the middle of the best part of a couple of songs which was a little awkward and disappointing but I’m sure you can ask for songs to be fully played out to avoid this. Other than that our guests loved it and everyone had a great time.
DJ Ryan was amazing and was great to work with. He knew how to keep my guest entertained and on the dance floor. Everyone was dancing and he did a great job at playing new and old music. I added the uplighting for my wedding and he was familiar with the Venue and made it look great.

We booked Ryan for our wedding and he was great DJ. He was easy to communicate with throughout the planning process, Skyped with us in advance to get an understanding of what we were looking for, gave suggestions to smooth the musical flow throughout the evening, adapted to our last minute requests and helped us play a pre-recorded speech. His web form for filling out songs we wanted in advance was very helpful as well. He got everyone on the dance floor and kept the energy up all night. We highly recommend his services!

My wife and I used DJ Ryan for our wedding in Aspen and he completely exceeded all of our expectations.
The sound system, and music fit our 80 person reception at the Hotel Jerome perfectly. We also utilized the up-lighting package and it turned our elegant, classy reception into an all-out dance club! We loved every minute of it.

Ryan did my wedding and was absolutely amazing! It was so nice knowing he knew what he was doing/what I wanted and it took a huge amount of stress off of my plate. The music was amazing and fit the mood the whole night. He also has amazing lights to use that lit up our whole backyard and changed color with the beat of the music.
10/10 would absolutely recommend to all future brides or just for parties!
I cannot say enough how wonderful Ryan was! Ryan was so kind and easy to work with, and he made sure that our wedding was everything we wanted! I received so many compliments from our guests about how much fun the music was, and I couldn't agree more! Ryan incorporated all of the songs I really wanted, and did a great job picking music that really kept our party going. The up-lights Ryan used were absolutely perfect! Everything was very tasteful and festive without being insane. Ryan was such a great MC as well. He made all of the important announcements and introductions without going over-the-top or being too talkative. I cannot thank Ryan enough for proving the perfect service and being such a joy to work with, he really made my wedding day wonderful!
I worked mostly with Ryan Griz up until the wedding. During the planning process, he was incredibly responsive and accommodating of my questions and requests. Chenoa actually DJ'd our wedding, and she did a fantastic job!! I had a few special requests (a friend played a few songs on his guitar at the wedding) and she was able to accommodate that so beautifully. She nailed the timing of the processional songs, and played every song we requested! Thank you, Ryan & Chenoa!
DJ Ryan Griz was the best. He was easy and professional during wedding planning and the day of the wedding the music from ceremony to reception was perfect. I would recommend him to anyone planning a wedding, we had so many compliments on music!
I didn't have much interaction and everything seemed okay to me. I was fine with most of the song choices (although I will say there's no good way to dance to Bohemian Rhapsody but maybe it was a request?). Some guests say that Ryan had too abrupt of song changes and lacked transition but I didn't really notice that myself.
Overall good. We weren't big party animal crowd so didnt' really get much time to evaluate.
DJ Ryan Griz has a great service. Our DJ, Max, kept our wedding schedule on track and dealt with a difficult location vendor very professionally. He played well to the crowd and followed our request to have other couples kiss (not just the bride and groom) when the bells rang. I would recommend them to anyone getting married. They played the music for our wedding ceremony and for the reception.

Our DJ was call name, the Ninja on the radio. He was so awesome, so fun, and really joined in on the fun, which I really liked. He made our wedding. Highly recommend again!!!!!!!! One of the best vendors!

We got to meet with Ryan initially to talk prices and general ideas of what we would be getting. Later met with his wife to set up our song list, schedule, etc. They set up a schedule for the reception and made all the announcements necessary to keep the party flowing well. Did a great job.
Ryan and his wife were very helpful in helping us with our music selections. We had a great time and the DJ's helped are reception stay upbeat and fun.
I hired this company with the promise that they would be professional and "keep the wedding moving." Prior to my wedding, we set out a timeline of what we wanted to happen when. However, we ended up having to tell the DJ every single move to make. We had to tell them it was time to cut the cake, time for first dance, time for bouquet toss, ect.... This is not how we wanted our wedding to go. We wanted to be able to sit back and enjoy it, not to have to worry about lulls and our guests getting bored and leaving while our "professional" dj's sat back in a corner and played around. We gave them a list of songs prior to the wedding that we wanted played. The only slow song they played all night was the first dance song. How could they not realize it was A WEDDING, and DUH we wanted slow songs to be played??? We gave them a list!!!!!! Save yourselves a huge disappointment, flustraion, and money and go with a different service. They ruined my wedding, then sent me a lovely bill for it.
He had a great attitude and he was very inexpensive.;I never met with the actual DJ I had at the reception and I would have liked to have gone over things before.
