Groove Essential

Hello, Groove Essential is a wedding band in Indianapolis, IN, that is made up of 6 members: 2 female lead singers who also play percussion and keys; a guitarist who sings lead; a bass player who sings lead; a drummer who sings lead; and we have just recently added Troye Kinnett (the keyboard player for John Mellencamp) to the line-up. By having 6 lead singers, we are able to perform many different styles of music from different genres and eras with an authentic sound. To this core group, we can also add Grammy-nominated saxophone player, Josh Weirich (who recently toured with The Temptations and The O’Jays). We can also add 2 horns (sax and trumpet) or a full horn section to this group. Adding the horns creates a high-energy performance of solos and “horn-section dance moves”…they’ve been known to take their solos out to the dance floor. Our song list includes music from all eras, starting with the 1940’s through CURRENT hits, including songs from Pop, Rock, Motown, Country, and R&B styles of music. Having a wide variety of music from different eras allows us to design a unique performance that will please an audience of all ages. If you would like to be involved in designing the music for the evening, we allow you to choose songs from our list that you would like to hear (or not like to hear), and we will learn up to 3 NEW songs for any special dances/requests (see song list below). We will also MC the evening and will provide pre-recorded background music starting when the guests arrive. We can also add a jazz combo, pianist, harpist, or string section for the cocktail hour or dinner.
