Groove Knight

worked with Dave leading up to the wedding, and he was amazing to work with. He made it easy to plan the logistics, and was up for the challenge of a tight load-in schedule at Umlauf. On the day of the wedding, everything went smoothly, and the band was probably our most complimented part of the wedding. Everyone had a blast on the dance floor, and I had friends tell me they’ve never had such good music or so much fun on a wedding dance floor.  Prior to booking Groove Knight we went to one of their shows and the show of another band we were considering. Groove Knight had a packed dance floor, and was the more cost effective option. That sealed the deal for us. If I had another event to plan, I would book them again in a heartbeat.

ey brought the energy and kept the dance floor packed! They are incredible musicians, singers and have the ability to read the crowd to keep the party going. They exceeded our expections on both weddings and so grateful they were a part of it!

“how incredible they were”, and even heard, “it was the most fun wedding reception they had ever been to.”  Their energy level was incredible, and the dance floor stayed packed all night long. Dave was incredibly easy to work with from start to finish. I give them an easy 5 stars review. Book them immediately. You won’t regret it.

he wedding too!! We went with the 9-piece band, and every element was exceptional. The saxophonist set the tone during cocktail hour with a smooth, upscale vibe that our guests are still raving about. During dinner, the band played light, elegant music that created the perfect ambiance, and once dinner wrapped up, they absolutely brought the energy and got everyone on the dance floor. What really stood out was how interactive they were—they read the crowd perfectly and played a great mix that appealed to all ages. The dance floor was never empty, which is exactly what we hoped for! They even kept the celebration going through our send-off, making the entire evening feel seamless and unforgettable. If you’re looking for a band that’s not only incredibly talented but also knows how to create an amazing experience from start to finish, we can’t recommend them enough!

t of the show, and they sounded incredible.  The strong interaction with the audience, a surprise mini-skit with a few of the songs, and their energy made for an energetic dance floor.  Everyone had such a wonderful time, and it was a special day that we won’t forget.  Groove Knight was a big part of that!  Thanks to Dave and the entire band for an awesome time!

anted to have a fun, energetic and memorable night, a perfect complement to the vision of our newly weds for their marriage. 100% recommend considering them for your events.

aking everything straightforward and easy for us. The band was amazing, interacted with the crowd, and kept the dance floor going all night. Many guests mentioned afterward how much they enjoyed the band. They were also a great value compared to other bands we considered. We'd definitely recommend Groove Knight for a wedding or event.

were incredible.  Our guests couldn't believe how versatile they all were.  And Dave was so kind and organized.  The night went off without a hitch and the band made it extra special.  I highly recommend Groove Knight and would happily hire them for another event.

ht dancing and singing! It was incredible - highly recommend!!

nager, everything went smoothly.  My daughter and her now husband were able to fill out the band’s questionnaire .  They were able to add one special song that Dave and the band learned for the reception.   Having such a wide list of songs to choose from made planning the mood of the wedding so easy.   The variety of songs in the classic, rock, country and blues genres made it a fun night for everyone.  The guests filled the dance floor the entire night.    I also think they are a great value.  We chose to pay for the 11 piece band.  They came recommended by my daughter and her now husband.  Both of them had been to weddings where Groove Knight had played and were excited to have them as their wedding band.   Our wedding planner also thought they were the right choice for us. We first had a seated dinner where they played some classics mixed with oldies.  I was ready to skip the dinner and hit the floor!.   I cannot imagine a better band for the special night from the first contact to making everything flow.  Groove Knight made the event so special!   Pick Groove Knight if you want a fabulous event!

d in making our big day perfect. The band absolutely crushed it on the night of our wedding. They played all the classic hits we requested—each one performed with so much energy and talent—and even went the extra mile to learn two new songs just for us. That personal touch meant so much, and they nailed both songs flawlessly! But what truly blew us (and our guests!) away was how they kept the dance floor packed for three hours straight. It felt like a non-stop party, and everyone—from our friends to our parents and grandparents—was up dancing and having the time of their lives. The energy never dipped, and the band fed off the crowd in the best way. Groove Knight isn’t just a wedding band—they’re entertainers, professionals, and genuinely fun people who love what they do. If you want a wedding reception that people will be raving about long after the night ends, hire Groove Knight. You won’t regret it!

of 2 of my husband's siblings so picking them was an easy decision! From start to finish Dave was incredible to work with, from song choices, to crazy ideas, he and the band pulled out all the stops! If I could relive my reception just for the band alone I would! If you're on the fence on if you should book them.... DO IT!!!! You won't regret it!

eir command of the room. Outstanding performers and super fun! Cannot recommend them enough! You will not be disappointed.

. They had everyone dancing, singing, and having a great time to the very end when the horn section formed a line and paraded 100+ people out for the farewell to the bride and groom. Unbelievable night, I’m still getting calls a week later asking where I found such a fantastic band.

d everything we requested, and the transitions between songs were great. Their ability to read the room and keep the energy going was amazing. They also worked with us ahead of time to make sure our playlist was customized to our taste and that they understood the vibe we were going for.

formance!! They were so much fun and sooo insanely talented! My coordinator raved about Dave’s communication and I can say that he always emailed me back so quickly! Hello, midnight planning emails (sorry, Dave!). Some of my favorite comments of the night “Thank you for the free concert!” “Holy sh*t balls these guys can sing” “This is the best wedding we’ve ever been to”. All because of this band! They were the best decision, highly highly highly recommend!!

t brought the energy and fun and just made everyone forget about the little hiccup! All of my friends and family have been telling me how much fun and how awesome the band was. I can’t thank Groove Knight enough. Hire them for any event, but especially if you want to wedding to be unforgettable!!!!

ish. Dave was always responsive, helpful, and a pleasure to work with throughout the entire booking and planning process. We highly recommend Groove Knight for anyone looking to elevate their event with fantastic music and great service!

sitant about finding someone within our budget. Groove knight provided music throughout the reception, a mic for the ceremony, and a PA system for cocktail hour. We were shocked by how affordable they were and AMAZED by their talent. Groove knight did a great job with entertaining both the younger and older generation. I would highly highly recommend booking with groove knight and would also recommend opting for the horn section.

s packed! Everyone raved about how fun the wedding was! It was a pleasure to work with Dave, the band manager. He provided excellent communication throughout the planning process.

the PARTY!!! Seriously all of our guests were on the dance floor boogieing from start to finish. We actually ended up drinking less than anticipated because no one wanted to leave the dance floor! If you want your wedding to be the party of a lifetime, hire this band!! Can’t say enough good things, no cons!! Bonus: pretty affordable compared to some other quotes I received

d time we have used Groove Knight for a wedding and they are still as good as they were in 2018. Dave is professional and a pleasure to deal with during the planning process too.

t) reached out several times during the planning stages to make sure that he had all of the requested songs as well as the required timelines down which made for a seamless event. Very professional in both appearance & performance-and the music was tailored to keep the party moving- which they certainly did! All of the guests raved to us about the band's music and vocals and it showed in the non-stop dancing and celebrating. We had the 8 piece arrangement with horns and vocalists and we wouldn't change a thing. Highly recommended!!!

ing! They played such a variety of music and everyone kept telling me how amazing they were after the performance. 11/10 would recommend!!!

mmunicating with them was very easy and they were very flexible. They even learned the song for our first dance!

rea so we could play a playlist for our guests to enjoy, they played great music during dinner (which everyone loved), Dave was a great MC and kept the energy up all night. Additionally, our first dance song was an instrumental French jazz piece and the saxophone player absolutely knocked it out of the park!!! We received so many compliments all night long about Groove Knight. Our guests were out on the dance floor all night and I danced all night long and had the best time with the band. Dave is AMAZING to work with. He was super helpful and patient with my many many questions, joined our vendor walkthrough, and had a final call with us to make sure everything was all set how we envisioned. Highly highly recommend Groove Knight!!!

were fulfilled without hesitation. We literally danced the night away. Many of our guest commented that it was the best wedding reception they’ve ever attended. So much fun!!!🤩

at a wedding! Everyone danced all night and wanted to KEEP DANCING when we had to leave 🙁. I cannot recommend Groove Knight enough; they were incredible to work with throughout the process and learned special songs that we requested for our ceremony and reception. THANK YOU, Groove Knight, for EVERYTHING! WE LOVE YOU!

e true artists and they sure know how to read the crowd to ensure they have a great time. Dave is so flexible and they learned two new songs for the father/daughter and mother/son dance. I can't wait to host another event so I can hire them again!!

oices were the best! Thank you, Groove Knight for such a fun night!

ull 10 piece band for our wedding and trust me, it's worth it. They bring such amazing energy that our people didn't leave the dance floor all night. We've heard for weeks now from our guests that they were the most incredible wedding band. We are so honored and grateful to have had Groove Knight on our team for our wedding day. Thank you so much Dave and the rest of the GK members!

gave great direction on how the evening should unfold. Seriously, we want to have another event just to have the band play! As the MOB, this was hands down one of the best decisions we made. Do yourself a favor, trust the reviews and hire Groove Knight for your special day.

old us "the band was awesome!" The band was easy to work with and affordable. They played all of the hits and accommodated a wide variety of ages and styles of music. We enjoyed it so much that I asked them if I could write a review for them. Another review put it best: "Book Groove Knight - you won’t regret it!"

t day ever! Dave was super nice and accommodating and even had the band learn a song for our special day! Their set had people dancing all night long and they played every song we asked them to. Everyone complimented how amazing they were and some of their songs had us in tears they were so good. Seriously book this band as they are incredible!

n the dance floor! It made our wedding a TOTAL blast and would absolutely recommend them!

were great. They are accommodating to work with, get everyone on the dance floor (in an unforced or unawkward manner), clip particular music for you, take requests, work with unaccommodating Dallas weather... The list could go on. We are 27 and 29, my grandparents are in their late 70's and also loved the music. They do not play old hits, but rather hits everyone knows. Dave their manager called me the week before to make sure I was aware and knew everything planned my planner had set up for, he was very professional and personable to call me. I cannot recommend this band enough.

an, I am very particular about “the details,” and Groove Knight operates in a very organized and professional manner. From playing subtle dinner music, to getting the dance party going, to keeping the energy building through the last song, Groove Knight gets it done!

read the room well, and kept the energy at the right level all night! Highly recommend!!!

and members were full of energy and very professional. We had seen them at two weddings before, and they never fail to keep people dancing! The horns section is a must and they even worked with us to have a live saxophone player for our cocktail hour and he even came on the dance floor for a solo - such a hit!! Thank you Groove Knight for making our night one to remember, I wish we could book you all over again!

and it was the best choice I made for my wedding experience. The energy they brought to my wedding was electric. They even had a pink ladies number (from Grease) and the saxophone guy even came into the crowd for a solo. Dave, the main contact person, was responsive (like 24 hour turn around after sending an email) and very helpful. I was so lost at the beginning of my planning and Dave helped guide me based on his experience. All my guests raved about how good the band was. If you want your guests to dance all night then Groove Knights is the way to go. I spent most of my reception on the dance floor because it was just too much fun. Very reasonably priced too.

d being so impressed with their talent, professionalism, and overall exceptional entertainment. The best word to describe them is “WOW!!!” The wedding guests all raved about their performance, talent, extensive playlist and energy! Groove Knight’s price was very reasonable, compared to other bands. Having a 10 member, big brass band provided such a variety of song genres, and amazing entertainment for our guests of all ages. The dance floor stayed hopping the whole night! We wanted the reception to have a fun, party vibe, and Groove Knight made it happen!!! The band manager, Dave, was always responsive, pleasant and helpful during our numerous emails and phone conversations throughout the entire planning process. He even provided helpful, constructive feedback as we finalized details on the wedding timeline. His knowledge and professionalism was top notch, very welcomed and appreciated! For anyone looking for a talented, proven band for their wedding, Groove Knight, is who you should trust. They were a joy to work with from day 1 until the very last second of the reception. We communicated our desires, and gave them the reins to make it happen. The entertainment aspect of the wedding was worry free because we knew they were on it! They also provided us with a mic for the ceremony officiant, acoustic guitar player and trumpeter for the ceremony - full body chills. Just beautiful!!! Their inclusive bandstand and dance floor lighting also meant we didn’t have to pay to add additional lighting for the reception. Wedding planning can be intense, but having Groove Knight on our team and knowing we could rely on them for handling all aspects of the music and entertainment - while we focused on other ceremony and reception details - was priceless!
