Booked Groove Knight for our daughter's wedding reception as well as the ceremony music and we couldn't have been more pleased with the entire experience. Dave P (manager & Bassist) reached out several times during the planning stages to make sure that he had all of the requested songs as well as the required timelines down which made for a seamless event. Very professional in both appearance & performance-and the music was tailored to keep the party moving- which they certainly did! All of the guests raved to us about the band's music and vocals and it showed in the non-stop dancing and celebrating. We had the 8 piece arrangement with horns and vocalists and we wouldn't change a thing. Highly recommended!!!

Groove Knight was fantastic! One of my friends recommended them to me and we are SO happy we booked them! Everyone was on the dance floor the whole night and they kept the party going! They played such a variety of music and everyone kept telling me how amazing they were after the performance. 11/10 would recommend!!!

My partner and I knew that music was going to be the most important part of the wedding day, and Groove Night was extraordinary. Since the big day has wrapped up, the band is the only thing our guests keep talking about. Our decision to hire Groove Night was the BEST choice we made for our wedding. We went with the ten-piece band, which included a three-piece horn section, keyboards, guitar, bass, drums, and four singers. From the moment the band started playing, they had the guests out on the dance floor. Their energy was infectious, setting the tone for an unforgettable evening. Members of the band even came down from the stage to interact with the guests including multiple of the singers and the saxophonist. From our first dance to every high energy dance song, the band played their hearts out, captivating everyone in the room. We had some special requests for the band including an anniversary dance and playing some international music over the speakers. They took the time to understand our vision for the evening and went above and beyond to exceed our expectations. Groove Knight recently played at my reception. They play wonderful and fun music that is catered to your style/preference and help facilitate the events of the night seamlessly. Communicating with them was very easy and they were very flexible. They even learned the song for our first dance!

Can I give 10 stars?? My now husband and I booked Groove Knight for our wedding and they were outstanding!!! They truly did it all. They setup a sound system in the cocktail hour area so we could play a playlist for our guests to enjoy, they played great music during dinner (which everyone loved), Dave was a great MC and kept the energy up all night. Additionally, our first dance song was an instrumental French jazz piece and the saxophone player absolutely knocked it out of the park!!! We received so many compliments all night long about Groove Knight. Our guests were out on the dance floor all night and I danced all night long and had the best time with the band. Dave is AMAZING to work with. He was super helpful and patient with my many many questions, joined our vendor walkthrough, and had a final call with us to make sure everything was all set how we envisioned. Highly highly recommend Groove Knight!!!

We booked Groove Knight for my daughter’s wedding reception and they met and exceeded my expectations. Dave and his band were very easy to work with, and our wishes and our request were fulfilled without hesitation. We literally danced the night away. OH MY GOSH! We were blown away by Groove Knight at our wedding - it's been about a month since our big day and everyone continues to tell us that we had the best band they've seen at a wedding! I have hired Dave and Groove Knight to play for two weddings...once for my daughter in 2015 and again for my son in 2023. I simply can't say enough great things about them. They are true artists and they sure know how to read the crowd to ensure they have a great time. Dave is so flexible and they learned two new songs for the father/daughter and mother/son dance. I can't wait to host another event so I can hire them again!!

Wow!!!! Just WOW! - our guests are still talking about how great the band sounded. Not one person remained seated and the dance floor was filled. Dave was so easy to work with and gave great direction on how the evening should unfold. Seriously, we want to have another event just to have the band play! I take Customer Reviews with a grain of salt, but these comments are exactly true -- Groove Knight is FANTASTIC! We hired them for our daughter's wedding Oct 2023. So many guests told us "the band was awesome!" The band was easy to work with and affordable. They played all of the hits and accommodated a wide variety of ages and styles of music. We enjoyed it so much that I asked them if I could write a review for them. Another review put it best: "Book Groove Knight - you won’t regret it!"

I cannot say enough great things about Groove Knight! They were incredible throughout the entire process! From communication to the performance, they truly made our wedding the best day ever! This band is fabulous... My now husband was doing dry Feb when we went to another wedding and heard them. He loved them sober (and he is a music guy!) and this is when I knew they were great. They are accommodating to work with, get everyone on the dance floor (in an unforced or unawkward manner), clip particular music for you, take requests, work with unaccommodating Dallas weather... The list could go on. We are 27 and 29, my grandparents are in their late 70's and also loved the music. They do not play old hits, but rather hits everyone knows. Dave their manager called me the week before to make sure I was aware and knew everything planned my planner had set up for, he was very professional and personable to call me. I cannot recommend this band enough.

Groove Knight did an amazing job at our wedding! Dave does a great job communicating, providing insight and guidance, and working according to your particular requests. As a musician, I am very particular about “the details,” and Groove Knight operates in a very organized and professional manner. From playing subtle dinner music, to getting the dance party going, to keeping the energy building through the last song, Groove Knight gets it done!

Best. Band. Ever. All of our guests were dancing all night long, Dave (the band manager) is very responsive and willing to work with you to make your night special and all of the band members were full of energy and very professional. We had seen them at two weddings before, and they never fail to keep people dancing! The horns section is a must and they even worked with us to have a live saxophone player for our cocktail hour and he even came on the dance floor for a solo - such a hit!! Groove Knight is the band you want for your wedding! They are absolutely unbelievable. I was a little nervous booking them without hearing them first, but I decided to do it anyway and it was the best choice I made for my wedding experience. The energy they brought to my wedding was electric. They even had a pink ladies number (from Grease) and the saxophone guy even came into the crowd for a solo. Dave, the main contact person, was responsive (like 24 hour turn around after sending an email) and very helpful. I was so lost at the beginning of my planning and Dave helped guide me based on his experience. All my guests raved about how good the band was. If you want your guests to dance all night then Groove Knights is the way to go. I spent most of my reception on the dance floor because it was just too much fun. Very reasonably priced too.

Groove Knight performed at my daughter’s wedding on 11/26/2022 at The Astorian in Houston. The bride and groom chose them after seeing their performance at a friend’s wedding, and being so impressed with their talent, professionalism, and overall exceptional entertainment. The best word to describe them is “WOW!!!” The wedding guests all raved about their performance, talent, extensive playlist and energy! Groove Knight’s price was very reasonable, compared to other bands. Having a 10 member, big brass band provided such a variety of song genres, and amazing entertainment for our guests of all ages. The dance floor stayed hopping the whole night! We wanted the reception to have a fun, party vibe, and Groove Knight made it happen!!! The band manager, Dave, was always responsive, pleasant and helpful during our numerous emails and phone conversations throughout the entire planning process. He even provided helpful, constructive feedback as we finalized details on the wedding timeline. His knowledge and professionalism was top notch, very welcomed and appreciated! For anyone looking for a talented, proven band for their wedding, Groove Knight, is who you should trust. They were a joy to work with from day 1 until the very last second of the reception. We communicated our desires, and gave them the reins to make it happen. The entertainment aspect of the wedding was worry free because we knew they were on it! They also provided us with a mic for the ceremony officiant, acoustic guitar player and trumpeter for the ceremony - full body chills. Just beautiful!!! Their inclusive bandstand and dance floor lighting also meant we didn’t have to pay to add additional lighting for the reception. Wedding planning can be intense, but having Groove Knight on our team and knowing we could rely on them for handling all aspects of the music and entertainment - while we focused on other ceremony and reception details - was priceless!

Honestly the best wedding band around!!! We hired Groove Knight for my daughter’s wedding 12/30/21. They were amazing! Dave answered all our questions, and made suggestions to us. We truly valued his advise and opinion. It was important to my daughter that her dad sing her and her husband’s first dance. Dave went out of his way to meet with my husband so my husband could practice with him. We all had an amazing time dancing to all of their song choices. All our guests kept complementing us on doing a great job picking the band. Groove knight was everything we wanted for our wedding!! My highest priority for my wedding was a dance floor that was packed all night and that’s exactly what we got!! Guests are still raving about their performance weeks later and how they were so impressed with how talented the band was! Dave was so responsive and easy to work with at every step along the way and really accommodating to our wants. We loved the addition of a acoustic guitarist for cocktail hour as well as adding the saxophone. We decided to hire Groove Knight for our wedding band. They did not disappoint at all! The music was wonderful, and we had guests on the dance floor all night. They did a fabulous job!

I hired Groove Knight immediately! I didn't even have to look at any other bands. After reading their reviews, talking to Dave on the phone, and watching their videos I had to book them. Dave made the process so easy, he's so nice and professional and even learned our first dance song and the father/bride dance which was my parents wedding first dance song. All the guests raved about Groove Knight and couldn't believe that they could jump from country, to disco, to latin music. Their range is unbelievable. The guests were on the dance floor all night long and everyone had the best time. We didn't want the night to stop. Don't think twice, just book Groove Knight - they will make your wedding!!

They stole the show!!! I still have guests calling and commenting on how amazing Groove Knight was!! Our dance floor was FILLED the entire night - at one point the sax player came out in the middle for a solo. Incredible!! We coordinated a guitarist for the ceremony & the sax player for cocktail hour and it was perfect. If you are local to the Austin area you can even see the group perform at local bars (which is what we did before pulling the trigger). We ended up going with the full band & they were still more affordable than some 5 piece bands we were considering. They are very friendly & have a fast response time. We had them learn three songs: I Don't Dance; Crazy in Love; One, Two Step AND THEY CRUSHED IT!! We had multiple college football player alumni attend and at the end of the night, the band returned one of their Bowl rings because the guy was dancing so hard it flung off and almost hit the drummer (which speaks a lot because most of those guys hate dancing haha).

Groove Knight is awesome!!!! Not only were they more affordable than other bands I inquired about but they went above and beyond all my expectations with all planning aspects leading up to our wedding, the actual wedding performance and more. Dave is who I was in contact with throughout the whole planning process and he was always kind, responded quickly, and thought through things I wasn't even aware I needed to think through. The band also learned the song that my father and I danced to which meant the world (for no extra fee I might add). The wedding seems like a complete blur for me but all I have received from guests is praise about how much fun the band was and how good the songs they played were. I have gotten a number of videos of the saxophone player breaking it downnnn on the dance floor and it makes me sooo happy! We had all ages out on the dance floor enjoying the music and having a good time, which was more important to me than I realized. Groove Knight made our wedding so fun and memorable and they are one of the best decisions we made regarding our wedding and I am so glad we ended up following through and choosing them. They were so stress free and EASY I could not speak more highly of them.

Look no further! This is a MUST book wedding band. The Groove Knight band exceeded our wedding music expectations. They had everyone on the dance floor the entire night! Our guests loved this band so much! They shared it was one of the best weddings they had ever been to. From start to finish, Groove Knight was a pleasure to work with. I worked with Dave on setting everything up for our wedding and he did an amazing job with his communication. He answered my emails promptly and answered all my questions. When you book with, Groove Knight, they send you a wedding band form, which allows you to highlight all the songs on their playlist that you would like them to play at your wedding. You also get to choose three songs that they will learn for you for your first dance, father and daughter dance, and mother son dance. For our wedding, we had Groove Knight do two band set ups. We had a small band setup for dinner, which was inside. A guitarist played our dinner music and it was absolutely beautiful. We got many guest compliments on it. The music wasn’t too loud either, which allowed guests to have conversations while they ate. After the dinner, we moved our wedding outside for dancing where the 10 piece band was set up. I highly recommend the 10 piece band because it is so worth it!! This band was one of the biggest highlights of our wedding. All of our guests raved about them. Every song they played was amazing. No one wanted to leave the dance floor; even for a bathroom break because every song was too good to leave the dance floor. In addition, Groove Knight did an amazing job interacting with our guests. For example, there were horn and guitar soloists and they came out on the dance floor and interacted with our guests. The guests LOVED this. Also, at the end of the night, the horn section of the band led all the guests out by playing and led the guests up to the front to set up for our grand exit. Dave also was the best MC at our wedding too. He kept guests informed on what was happening. Therefore, I highly recommend Groove Knight for your wedding band. I promise they will not disappoint you or your guests. They bring all the equipment and lighting. You do not have to do a thing! You are in good hands with Dave and Groove Knight. They deserve more than a 5 star review!

This band was so much fun! And they will learn a song for you which is awesome and speaks to their talent as musicians. They play a wide variety of music and picked up on the vibe really well. Stop looking for a band and book these guys.

This review is long overdue...like our third wedding anniversary is in a couple months. I can honestly say, when I look back on our special day, I am still so happy we booked Groove Knight. Dave made the booking process super easy, patiently walked us through the music selection process, provided feedback, and boy did they deliver! They got everyone up and dancing! They really know how to work a crowd. We received so many compliments on the band during the wedding, and after as well. I also really appreciated how thoughtful and professional the band members were. I noticed they wore purple ties to match with our wedding colors. They even made a point to play all of our requested songs, I broke out into a huge smile when I heard one of my favorite songs (Darren Criss’s Dress and Tie) play. Thank you so much to Dave and Groove Knight for playing the soundtrack to the best day ever!!!

I have played in several bands and I was blown away by Groove Knight. Their transitions were flawless, their song selection was perfect, and they could absolutely bring it! Groove Knight kept everyone on the dance floor for the entire wedding. Further, and perhaps most importantly, Dave went above and beyond in the planning process, ensuring that we had everything we wanted with all the small details for the big night. I could not recommend them enough. I am recommending Groove Knight to all my friends because I selfishly want to listen to them jam. Five stars.

Everyone who came to our wedding agreed that Groove Knight was absolutely amazing! Our wedding would not have been the same without this band. I don't think there was one song that didn't have everyone out on the dance floor. Their song catalog is very impressive and I only had a few requirements - no country songs and no group dances. I let the band decide the rest and they were incredible. From the songs they played during dinner, to the last dance of the night - they sounded perfect. Communication with Dave could not have been better - he made great suggestions and also coordinated learning a new song for the big day. We are so happy we hired Groove Knight!

I absolutely cannot recommend Groove Knight Band highly enough! We first met Dave and his team for a small show in Georgetown where they were able to get everyone on the dance floor in no time at all! Our wedding was no different! I cannot remember a time where the dance floor was not completely packed with everyone dancing and singing their hearts out! Since our wedding, we have received more compliments on “the incredible band” than almost any other part of our wedding. Dave and his team absolutely killed it and we are so grateful to have them as a part of our wedding team. We sincerely appreciate the grace, patience, and attention-to-detail that Dave extended to us throughout the year leading up to the wedding as well as the love and kindness he showed us on the day of! We are still hearing from our guests about how they had the best time at our wedding. Groove Knight exceeded our expectations and went above and beyond to make sure that our guests had the best time. My husband and I were dancing the night away among many of our guests. Once everyone got on the dance floor, I don't think they ever left! They not only played music but entertained us with their dancing and choreography for many songs. Out of all my vendors for the big day, Dave was by far the easiest to work with. I always got a response within an hour, he frequently reached out to me, and worked with our budget. He was absolutely on top of everything, which is huge! On the day of, the band played lovely ceremony music and the party music was for every age group that we had. I seriously cannot say enough great things about this fantastic band. They will not disappoint!!

Where do we even begin. Such an incredible performance at our wedding! We booked the 8-piece band including the brass section and are so glad that we did. Before the wedding we didn’t give any song suggestions or any “do not play” songs, leaving all of the song choices up to the band. We are so glad that we did that. They read the crowd just perfectly and everyone was on the dance floor the entire night! We received so many compliments on the performance and people are still complimenting us on how much fun they had and how good the band was! I would highly recommend Groove Knight for your wedding! Groove Knight energized our wedding guests at the Intercontinental Stephen F. Austin with their highly varied play list. The 8-piece band had everyone rocking, from young to old. Many of the hotel staff commented they were the best they've heard, surpassing some of the cover artists. The rendition by their alto of the 500 Miles was outstanding. Thank you for a special "knight".

Book Groove Knight right now! Seriously we got countless compliments on the band. They were energetic, friendly, interactive and the dance floor was packed all night long! It’s everything we wanted for our wedding. Also Dave was an absolute pleasure to work with. He responded almost immediately to every question or request I had. He was incredibly accommodating when we had very specific requests for how to cut our father/daughter and mother/son songs. And the band learned a new song for our first dance and he even offered for the guitarist to learn a new song for our ceremony. I truly have nothing bad to say about Groove Knight, they went above and beyond!

Groove Knight was one of mine and my husband's favorite vendors! They were not only incredible the day of the wedding, but throughout the entire planning process. The best wedding decision we made!!! Groove knight is AMAZING. everyone was on the dance floor the entire night dancing. We were blown away by how incredible they keep the crowd entertained and the amazing voices and talent of the entire band. If you're reading this review, you're in the market for a talented, rocking, entertaining band. If you want your wedding or event to be rocking all night long, this is the band for you. Having Groove Knight play at our wedding was one of the best decisions we made during the wedding planning process. The Groove Knight truly made our special day, perfect. The band was so good at reading the crowd, and playing music that keeps everyone, both young and old, up on the dance floor all evening. We received and still receive (6 months later) so many compliments from our guests about how fun our band was. Dave was amazing at responding to emails, phone calls, and so receptive to ideas that we had. We had opted to use one of their guitarists as a solo performer during our ceremony and it was perfect. We opted for the 7 piece option and it worked out great for our venue. I highly recommend going to one of their live shows and you can instantly see how lively, fun, and magical they are. The moment we arrived at one of their open shows, and saw dozens of people grooving on the dance floor, we knew immediately that they were the band we had been searching for.

If you want to have people out on the dance floor, they will bring the energy! We recently used them our wedding and have no regrets about that decision. From the time they started playing till the time we left, they kept everyone dancing and having a good time. Dave is incredibly easy to work. Even though our first dance song was not on their list of current songs, they learned it! If you are on the fence about getting a band, do yourself a favor and book Groove Knights right now.

WOW! Groove Knight exceeded our expectations! The were amazing! We loved the way they interacted with the crowd and the dance floor was packed all night! So many people have commented that they thought several times the singing was recorded, then they spotted the "singing drummer". And both ladies had amazing voices! All of the musicians are very talented and fun. We couldn't have asked for more! Thanks to Groove Knight we didn't want the night to end!

We hired Groove Knight for my brother's reception (I was basically the wedding planner), and they rocked the house! They were amazing and everyone had a blast. People kept coming up to me and saying how great the band was. Our event wouldn't have been as fun and successful without them. They were also very easy and professional to work with. We hired this band for our daughter's wedding last weekend. They are fabulous and really respond to and follow the energy of the crowd. Everyone loved them. They even added special touches I asked for like two Happy Birthday songs. Highly recommend.

We had Groove Knight for our wedding in March and they were amazing throughout the entire process and especially that night. We had previously seen them at another friend's wedding last year and when we were discussing whether to get a band or a DJ for our own, we kept coming back to how much fun they were. We found their rates to be very reasonable compared to other bands we looked at briefly and decided to book them. One of the best parts about Dave and his team was how easy they were to work with. They understand that planning a wedding is stressful and that different people want different levels of control for that night. One way they eased stress for us was by sending us a list of all the songs they knew. Then then gave us the ability to curtail the list as much as we wanted by deciding what we wanted played and what we didn't want played. We actually didn't curtail the list at all and decided to trust them. They rewarded us by doing a phenomenal job of reading the party. After dinner was served, I don't think there was a single moment the dance floor was empty. Our wedding was amazing and Groove Knight was a big reason why. We would recommend them to anyone.

We both knew we wanted a band to play at our wedding instead of a DJ, but we also had doubts about that decision. Looking into the different bands that would play for us, we stumbled on Groove Knight and it all seemed too good to be true. Dave was so easy to work with! He let us know where they would be playing in order to get to see the band play live before hiring them. THEY WERE PHENOMENAL! Unfortunately, we just got to see them play a couple songs, but even then we were blown away at how great they sounded. That sealed the deal for us. They emailed us with a few pages for info on the wedding and our overall likes in music based on their set list. Come the day of the wedding, the band was all set up at the agreed time, and everything ran smoothly. Half of the time, I would even forget we had a band because they sounded SO FREAKING GREAT that I thought it was the original recording of the song. The music at your wedding can make or break it, and Groove Knight really brought up the atmosphere! The singers were great, the musicians were great, and working with them was even greater. A lot of our guests were raving about the band during and after the wedding. I am so humbled and appreciative we had them play at our wedding. By far, the best choice we made and I would highly recommend them to anyone wanting a band for their wedding.
