aria Dallas throughout most of the process, who was so easy to communicate and brainstorm with. She truly ensured everything was lined up and ready for our big day. GPYC has certain decor items they allow you to borrow, such as a card box, table numbers, napkins, etc. Maria provided room layouts of every single room and area we had reserved for the day, allowing us to customize each space, the seating chart, and what furniture we wanted where and when. This pre-planning helped prevent so much stress in the weeks and months leading up to the big day.
Lori Tucker was our day-of coordinator for everything GPYC/venue related, and she was so helpful. I didn’t have to worry once about food deliveries to the bride/groom suites, vendor coordination, or anything about the set-up.
I am still receiving wonderful compliments regarding our wedding reception and cocktail hour food, which truly was delicious and beautifully prepared. Being able to taste every aspect of the meal and dessert ahead of the wedding was so helpful and fun as well. We went with a lower menu package, but do not feel like we missed out on anything, as the open bar is standard with any package, and the quality was excellent. The afterglow food options were perfect, and we decided to have a nacho bar for guests, which was also delicious and perfect at 10 PM during a wedding reception.
The space is beautiful, meaning you really don’t need much to spruce it up for a wedding. They offer an upgrade to white flags instead of the club flags, but we opted to keep them for the charm. The layout of the ballroom is great, with a large dance floor and endless options for your tables depending on guest size.
The staff was absolutely impeccable, paying attention to every aspect of the guest experience during the meal and afterwards. Expect your guests to truly be treated like they are at a 5-star restaurant or resort.
We could continue on and on, but we truly cannot recommend GPYC enough for all of your wedding/event space needs. We are so grateful to have had our wedding reception here, and we will forever remember how kind and generous the staff were. Thank you!

t!). The coordinator Maria here is absolutely wonderful and put my mind at ease with every single little question I bothered her with. She was meant for event coordination; So calm and sweet but keeps everything in order and on schedule! I chose to rent the bridal suite for my party to get ready in and the staff was SO attentive to us all day long! Constant check-ins and making sure we had everything we needed! I felt extremely well taken care of getting married at the GPYC. They made sure we didn’t lift a finger or stress about anything at all! I actually cried the next day when we went back to pick up all of our decor, trying to think of the words to thank everyone. This was actually one of the more affordable venues we looked at as well I’d you can believe it! Cannot say enough amazing words about the club, their service and staff!

ul! I can’t say enough bout the service, food, drinks and atmosphere. My daughter and her new husband were the most in love couple I have ever seen at a wedding reception. They enjoyed every minute and danced all night long. My husband and I enjoyed watching them the whole night and did not want it to end. The bartender Mike was awesome! s not for me. We were blessed that the GPYC had an opening on our desired weekend. Mariann DenBaas was my point of contact person throughout the entire 1.5 year engagement when we booked the club. She was responsive, attentive, thoughtful and instilled me with lots of confidence. This was the right route for us. The GPYC is a stunning venue nestled in Grosse Pointe right along the water. I fell in love with the ballroom and its high ceilings and beautiful windows. The planning process felt organized, and after our few meetings with Mariann and the tasting, we were all blown away. They took care of everything, and I had no worries on our wedding day that everything would go off perfectly. They helped create a perfect timeline, cocktails were elegant, service was superb. My husband and I couldn't have felt more taken care of. They offered to chill our special bottle of champagne after it had been sitting on the table for a few minutes, and were constantly asking if there was anything we or our party needed. There is a beautiful room for all your vendors to eat in and "set up camp" in right off the main ballroom. The bathrooms, facilities, etc are all perfect. We were not able to have our cocktail outside due to weather (but it would have been stunning!) instead they accommodated us inside in a beautiful room right off the ballroom.
It was a perfect day, makes for stunning photos, care free service for guests (including valet), beautiful cocktail room (the venetian!).. thank you GPYC and Mariann for a unforgettable day for both myself and my husband. Truly service that goes above and beyond.
