a little nervous about hiring a makeup artist for my wedding, but I found it so easy to talk to her and communicate what I wanted that after my trial (about two months before the wedding) I really felt like my nerves about hair and makeup melted away. I still felt like myself in the makeup Jamie used, but just a little more fancy! What was most important to me was that my skin looked natural and it totally did. I've never been so happy with my makeup looking back at photos before. On the day of, not only did Jamie do a great job of pivoting and really listening when I asked for some slight changes to my makeup day of, but she also somehow managed to do my hair and makeup in a way that stayed in place all day despite constant rain throughout our outdoor/tented wedding. There was absolutely no frizz to my hair and even after taking photos outside and getting rained on, my updo held up and was mostly still curled by the end of the night. My makeup didn't move an inch and I felt amazing all day. I really can't thank her enough for being such a friendly person to work with, and for making my first professional hair and makeup experience a great one!

vous about the logistics of Jamie needing to travel to our wedding to do everyone’s hair and makeup (our venue was a rustic summer camp), but when Jamie arrived at my Airbnb in Stowe for a trial I immediately knew traveling for her was a non-issue! She had everything she needed (and more)! We had such a great day and it got me even more excited for the wedding. Jamie and Sarah showed up at camp early the morning of the wedding and I don’t think we stopped laughing all day. There was no judgment when my maid of honor and I chose to use “nature’s bathroom” because we were too lazy to walk to the real bath house! Sarah even held an umbrella over her – ha! As we got closer to the ceremony, I started getting nervous, especially when it started raining. Jamie actually shut off the music and had us take a moment and listen to the rain. I already knew I made the right call with Jamie from a hair and makeup standpoint… but this moment rally confirmed just how amazing she is – and how true she is to her “Grounded and Glammorous” business. Absolute perfection. I could not recommend Jamie and Sarah more.

s early on a Sunday morning. She is so personable, kind and makes you feel like you have been friends forever. Jamie is so talented and knowledgeable with makeup - I couldn't have been more pleased with how it came out. If we lived closer to each other - I would have her do my makeup everyday! ;) Highly recommend her for your wedding day.

Moreover, Jamie is a ton of fun to talk to and has a wonderful sense of humor. She has had so many interesting life experiences! She is an expert in her craft and even convinced my mom to get her makeup done on the wedding day (which was not easy). My bridesmaids and I are so lucky to have her on our team!

h Salon more highly. I felt so beautiful throughout my wedding weekend, and her work was absolutely amazing. I wanted "no makeup" makeup and a very natural look -- wanted to look like myself -- and she executed this flawlessly with a big smile on her face and brought a real calming presence with her. The hours I spent with my bridesmaids on Saturday morning in hair and makeup were one of many highlights over the course of the wedding weekend. Sometimes hair and makeup can feel down to the wire and stressful, especially with such a big group, but Jamie helped to create a happy and cheerful feeling and kept us on schedule. She is incredibly professional and has many years of experience doing this, which really came through. I think it’s fair to say that my bridal party (including my born and raised New York mom!) was a fairly high maintenance New York City group, and every single person was thrilled with the hair and makeup they received. During your wedding weekend, it’s incredibly important to surround yourself with people who make you happy and make you smile, and you spend a significant amount of time with the hair and makeup artist you select, and I’m so happy that Jamie was the one who was there with me! I plan to keep in touch, and I can’t wait for an occasion to work together again with Jamie in the future! Thank you so much Jamie!!!

hat look I was going for with minimal description. I have never felt so beautiful. My hair and makeup lasted all day and night. My appointment took 2.5 hours, but felt like minutes because talking to Sarah came so natural. Sarah does amazing work, is very personable, accommodating and fun to work with. I would recommend her and Lush Salon to all brides or to anyone who just wants to feel beautiful and be pampered.

's amazing what she can do. My wedding guests were even crowding around at cocktail hour to take pictures of my hairstyle. It held in very securely too so I didn't have to worry about messing with it at all. Whenever I hear of someone getting married I always recommend her because I have no doubt she is the BEST around. (She also did my hair for my sister's wedding and I couldn't have been happier).

I hadn't given too much thought to the exact style of hair and makeup that I wanted, but after a trial hair session at her studio and looking at some photos for ideas, I soon realized I had nothing to worry about. Shes so natural and creative in her styling that the end result was a work of art and so much more beautiful than I could have found in a Pinterest photo. Worried she wouldn't be able to recreate something so beautiful for the wedding, I was soon proven wrong! Makeup as well was beautiful, yet understated - exactly what I wanted! I'd highly recommend Jamie to anyone looking for a stylist, for brides, mothers and grandmothers of the bride and groom, for any style of hair or makeup!

k like the best version of themselves. I absolutely loved my hair and makeup and received a bunch of compliments. Also, we took pictures in the rain before the ceremony and my hair and makeup still looked perfect after 45 minutes outside in the elements. My updo was still perfect the next morning! Aside from making me feel super confident (seriously, I felt like I looked amazing), Jamie and Sarah made me feel really comfortable! They are so sweet and funny and are just fun to be around. I 100% recommend them.

As soon as I walked in the salon, I knew it would be a great experience. Jamie instantly made me feel comfortable and I was amazed how quickly she could whip up potential updos for my wedding. Not having a make-up trial, I was a little nervous as to what I would look like with so much make-up, but Jamie made me look so pretty without going overboard. My make-up and hair complemented my dress and my overstyle and I couldn't be happier with using Jamie! I highly recommend using Lush Salon for your wedding hair and make-up!

with time to spare. Everyone in our party was happy with their finished look. My sister/maid of honor and I both felt our hair and makeup stayed in place and looked beautiful from the time it was finished in the morning until the end of the night, which was quite a feat since we danced up a storm!! We also have sensitive skin, and the makeup they used did not make us break out or cause irritation, and looked natural and pretty.
