When we began planning our wedding, there was a lot we were unsure about. We didn’t have a wedding planner/coordinator, so we were doing it all ourselves and had simply never done ...
it before, so we didn’t quite know how everything should go or everything we should do. Greg made everything easier, though. Not only was he the DJ who kept the party going at the reception and played all of our favorite songs, but he also helped us plan our day and made sure everything went smoothly. From the start, he created a collaborative Google Doc itinerary that spelled out exactly what times everything should happen, what parts of the day we needed to pick songs for, and who would be involved in each part of the day. This really helped us to better envision the day and made planning and communicating with our other vendors much easier, as it gave us something to keep referring back to when things got jumbled or confusing. He also came to the venue the night before and ran our rehearsal and helped us feel more prepared for the ceremony. On our wedding day, he was truly amazing. He showed up extra early to make sure he could set up. He ran back and forth between cocktail hour and us outside with the photographer to see how we were doing and how closely we would be able to stick to the schedule we had planned. He updated us throughout the night to let us know what would happen next and to check on us to see if we needed anything. He worked with our vendors throughout the day to make sure everyone was prepared to follow our schedule and that everything was going well. He also worked behind the scenes with my dad, as my dad was planning a special surprise for us, and made sure everything went smoothly with that and that he fit it into the day without us knowing about it. All day, he kept telling us not to worry about anything because he had it handled. As someone who is a chronic worrier, it’s rare that I feel like I can trust someone when they tell me not to worry, but with Greg I truly felt like I didn’t have to. He consistently went above and beyond what I expected our DJ to do and always had everything handled. Even when our dog, who was the ring bearer, accidentally sent our rings flying into the grass right before the ceremony and our family and wedding party were panicking, he got them calmed down and helped get the rings back into the box. And through all of that, he made sure that my husband and I were none the wiser; we didn’t find out about it until after the wedding when we could laugh about it. He also was just so kind and friendly. He went around to most, if not all, of our tables and started conversations with our guests. Multiple of my friends have told me that they wished they lived closer to the area so that Greg could be their DJ at their weddings, too. If it’s not clear, we truly can’t say enough good things about Greg and our experience with him as our DJ at our wedding, and I would highly recommend him to anyone planning a wedding!

him. He knows weddings inside and out and had lots of suggestions, considerations, and observations that went well beyond DJ duties. He was not overly pushy, and respected our preferences and decisions, whether we went with one of his ideas or not. It was clear that he can navigate a wedding in his sleep, and thus would be on top of everything from the schedule, to any special announcements we wanted him to make, to helping manage the guests, and any unexpected surprises.
On top of all of that, his music "default" list aligned so closely to ours. We compared our playlist of 200 songs to his playlist of 200 songs and they were over an 80% match.
Our guests had a blast at the wedding, as did we. I don't think we left the dance floor for the full 4 hours we had him playing after dinner. He knew how to read the crowd and kept the momentum going all night.
