I got married at the Guesthouse in August of 2015. I can't speak highly enough about the venue, food, location, amenities and, most importantly, the hosts, Gary and Jesse. From the moment that my fiancé and I stepped foot on the property to scope it out as a potential option, Gary and Jesse were incredibly courteous, informative, organized and communicative. They made the wedding planning process extremely efficient and uncomplicated. They responded to questions, concerns, additions and subtractions with the utmost professionalism and speed. They were incredibly helpful with locating vendors, coordinating with guests and deciding upon decor. On the weekend of the wedding, they went out of their way to ensure we had a stress-free, smooth ceremony and reception. Every detail (many of which I may have forgotten in the moment) was taken care of and it was a magical night. The venue itself is incredibly well maintained and provides a stunning backdrop for those that want a rustic-yet-refined celebration. The food was that of a fine restaurant, not a wedding banquet. It was delicious and, again, perfectly timed. I can't say enough about what an incredible job Gary and Jesse and all the staff at the Guesthouse did to make our dream wedding come true.
We had a wonderful wedding weekend at the Guesthouse. The venue and scenic backdrop are beautiful, but the best part about the Guesthouse is the pride and care in which the owners and staff put into it.
The staff took care of everything for the entire weekend from Friday's welcome dinner to breakfast on Sunday. The only outside vendors we needed were a photographer and DJ which made planning and organizing everything for us as the bride and groom very easy. They thought of every detail and personalized the weekend - down to an itinerary for guests, menu cards, and bar signs.
It was so great to stay onsite with our closest family and friends. There are plenty of nearby cottages and B&Bs for additional wedding guests and the Lost River State Park is just down the road.
I highly recommend the Guesthouse for a wedding, especially if you are thinking of inviting less than 100 people (I would also recommend keeping it smaller if you can as it will relieve a lot of stress!).
I look forward to celebrating future anniversaries there!
Gary and Jesse provided outstanding service at a competitive rate. They provided courtesy, service, food, and venue planning that went well above and beyond the price of the wedding. We got a great deal, as would anyone celebrating at this location. The wedding was on a balcony with 75 people, overlooking the valley and the mountains. The dining room was appointed beautifully, and was truly magical. The food was exquisite. We chose to let the Guest House set the menu, and they selected food options that were simply divine. The food preparation and service was fantastic. Gary's and Jesse's attention to every detail, and making the wedding fabulous, did not go unnoticed. We appreciate how much time and effort they put in to making our day simply amazing. They were very easy to work with, accommodated our ideas, shared their ideas, and made a wedding weekend that was fabulous. Their personal touch made it that much more special.
The Guesthouse was the perfect location to hold our wedding reception. Gary and Jesse were very easy to work with and made everything look so beautiful. When we met with them to go over what we were wanting, they made us feel at ease with the willingness to make our day so special. When the day arrived, it was absolutely amazing. The decorated centerpieces on the tables were gorgeous, more then I had even imaged. If you are looking for a beautiful and romantic location to hold "your special day" this definitely is the place.
We had a mountain destination weekend in July 2012 spread out over the area with family and friends staying everywhere. Those that stayed at the Guesthouse Lost River raved about the accommodations, scenery, pool time and especially the food. The guys went all out for our welcome dinner in the comfortable Lounge and that set the wonderful tone for the entire weekend.
