We worked with Paula for all the flowers for our wedding ceremony and reception. She was a delight to work with and exceeded all of our expectations for the big day. She is truly an artist and made all of our visions come to light. She is a very hard worker, and did a great job of making our wedding flowers look organic and natural, just what we wanted for the look of our wedding day. We look forward to working with her again and would highly recommend her if you want personal touches and undivided attention for your big event.

My finace and I are planning on a short engagement and trying to pull together a wedding in a 3 month time period. After visiting a nearby florist that was highly recommended (Flowers on the Green in Guilford), I noticed White House florist was across the street and decided to drop in to see whether anyone happened to be free. Being a non-obtrusive, I walked in and politely asked whether anyone happened to be available to answer some questions about wedding arrangements. Instead of a smile and a warm welcome, I received an exasperated glare and was brusquely told that "most people make appointments." Taken aback, I politely asked whether there was an alternate time I should return on appointment. Moments later, the owner/wedding consultant walked in and again, with the same unfriendly and exasperated attitude, told me how busy her schedule was and then explained to me how valuable her time was, and that she requires a deposit for a wedding consultation because she could be making arrangements to make money in the time it takes her to discuss wedding arrangements with me. Although I was surprised, given I have been to much more high-end and expensive florists for consultations without a charge, I acknowledge the fact that she has the right to run her business as she deems fit. However, her tone of voice and manner of conduct was not only condescending and unfriendly, but unprofessional and inappropriate for someone who is supposed to provide customer service and a pleasant experience for a future bride. Why waste your time with someone who clearly does not value you or your wedding when there are dozens of other local florists who are warm, welcoming, creative, friendly, and don't charge a consultation fee? Of the dozens of vendors I have met with over the past month planning for this wedding, this was the first unpleasant and unprofessional experience I have had, and I hope no one else experiences this type of treatment during what is already a busy and stressful process.

Easy to work with, friendly and accommodating!

Paula is great to work with! Guilford White House Florist cut, arranged, and delivered all of my floral arrangements for my July wedding. A few other florists I visited did not show me examples and told me what I should want. INSTEAD, Paula had many examples to show me of floral arrangements both in a book and on an iPad. She listened to my ideas even when I changed my mind many times and helped me to create beautiful bouquets, boutonnieres, and centerpieces. She is kind, thoughtful, and reliable. I highly suggest Guilford White House Florist!!
