Guinness was excellent.
Service is excellent.
Prices are reasonable.
They had their own brewery that brews the local beers however they do not Brew the Guinness as that is still imported from Dublin .

I hosted a happy hour at the Guinness Open Gate Brewery for a group of hospitality colleagues and clients, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish.

process, making coordination easy and efficient. On the day of the event, everything was seamless. The staff was well-prepared, attentive, and kept the food and beverages flowing without missing a beat.
The food was a clear highlight. The crab cakes were excellent, the ahi tuna was fresh and well-balanced, and the mini Chicago-style hot dogs were a fun and memorable crowd favorite.
What made it even more impressive was the feedback from the group. Hosting hospitality professionals can set a high bar, and the venue received consistently strong praise across the board.
Overall, the combination of strong service, a great atmosphere, and high-quality food made this a perfect venue for entertaining clients. I would absolutely host another event here and highly recommend it to others looking for a reliable and impressive setting.

Was staying at a hotel near here. Didn’t know even know this place existed in the US. I love Guinness and wanted to check it out. We were able to walk here as it was only a 20 minute walk and the day was nice.

busy for brunch service. Our server was great and had a few recommendations. Loved all the food and drinks that we had. Don’t let the michelada scare you, it was delicious. Next time I’m back in Chicago will be back for sure.

I want to start by saying that I love Guinness—it’s my favorite beer of all time.
I did enjoy visiting the Guinness Factory, though it was a bit different than I expected. The space itself is very nice: super clean, well organized, and filled ...
with great Guinness memorabilia. And they definitely know how to pour a Guinness the right way.
That said, I was a little underwhelmed overall. The food menu felt somewhat limited, and I would have loved to see Guinness incorporated more creatively—using the beer for sauces or other dishes that really highlight the brand. While the food was good, nothing truly stood out or wowed us.
I also wish the atmosphere leaned more into an authentic Irish pub feel. A bit more warmth and traditional Irish character would have made the experience feel more immersive.
Overall, it’s still a cool place and worth visiting at least once, especially if you’re a Guinness fan—but it didn’t quite live up to my expectations.
If you want it more casual, shorter, or more enthusiastic, just say the word.
