Guitarist ~ George Parker

George Parker did an amazing job playing before the ceremony and DJ-ing during the reception. He was very helpful working around my schedule as a graduating college senior I could only meet during winter break and over the phone and he was fantastic with having a flexible schedule. Do not make my mistake in putting off picking a musician and hire him. My husband and I actually moved our wedding date so we could have him play and it was the best decision we could have made. He has a very flexible music style and is very professional.

George was amazing for our wedding! We met a few weeks before and we bonded over our love of guitar solos :) He is such a cool guy and he was so easy to work with! He was able to learn a song for us that I wanted my bridesmaids to walk down the aisle to, "I will follow you into the dark" by Death Cab for Cutie and it was absolutely amazing! My family didn't even realize it was live until they saw him because they said it sounded so flawless. Before the ceremony it was raining and George was almost unable to play because his equipment was getting soaked, but he was so determined to play outside and make it happen, luckily the rain stopped though because having him play right there near the trellis couldn't have made it more perfect. He played Elvis "I can't help falling..." and it was the best version I've ever heard. Better than I could have imagined! Cocktail hour was a blast, my guests absolutely loved him and everything he played! George was awesome, we are so grateful to have had him at our wedding and we will absolutely be calling him again!

George was incredible - and most importantly (for us) super easy to work with. He was able to play every song we requested, or learn them! A very high quality and low maintenance vendor, which allowed us to worry about all the other things. We have received numerous compliments on the music quality, and his ability to play such a range of songs and styles. I would strongly recommend George to anyone looking for an acoustic guitar in/around their wedding.

George was great to work with! He played both our ceremony and cocktail hour. For the ceremony he played live and even learned a song for our processional that wasn't already on his repertoire! The day of the ceremony was rainy, so we had some last minute changes, but he was very flexible and rolled with the punches. For cocktail hour, he both DJ'd and mixed in live guitar. Very professional and talented!

George was awesome! My husband and I really wanted to have live music for our ceremony and I came across George right here on Theknot. I sent him a request quote and he got back to me right away. He was very quick to respond to any questions that came up and offers a HUGE list of songs to choose from, which we found very helpful. We heard from many of our guests that they really loved and appreciated the live music during our ceremony. Would highly recommend!

We cannot say enough good things about George. He was extremely helpful and professional throughout the entire wedding process. He helped us pick the perfect songs for our ceremony, cocktail hour and really just the right songs for us. He was perfect, we will never forget how great it was to have live music at our wedding. George is not only professional and amazing at playing the guitar, but he also works very well with other vendors including our officiant, he provided microphones for the ceremony so that we didn't need to spend anymore money. We highly recommend him!

George was amazing as a performer and MC/DJ. From the ceremony, to the cocktail hour, and reception George was a professional. All of the guests commented on his talent. Definitely recommend.

George did a great job with all the music at our wedding. His timeline tips gave us helpful ideas and a nice start with our planning. We had him set a nice mood by playing flamenco guitar for our guest arrival. During our ceremony entrance, I had him surprise our guests with a great electric guitar version of Beethoven’s “Ode to Joy”, which thrilled our friends and us. After the ceremony during photos, he played a mix of romantic and pop acoustic guitar selected by my wife. He is a pro at keeping his guitar at conversation level and great to watch. Finally, we had him play along with a singer on my bride’s favorite song for a live first dance. Then he did DJ music for our dinner and kept the floor busy for dancing until the end. One-stop shopping! He took care of the music for our entire wedding! I highly recommend him for anyone’s wedding.

We loved George! He had a great selection of music and was great at wrapping things up quickly during the processional to move onto the next piece. As another professional musician, he handled everything absolutely perfectly and played beautifully. We would absolutely recommend him!

George Parker was absolutely wonderful! We met him on our way out of the first wedding expo we attended. In those initial few minutes of conversation during our chance meeting with him, we were certain we wanted him to provide the musical backdrop to our wedding day. We actually chose his services before any other vendor or even our venue! He made us, a newly engaged couple, unfamiliar with the wedding planning process, feel comfortable from the very start, guiding us toward the right path to begin planning our own wedding. When it came time to meet with us, George graciously sat with us at length, paying close attention to our vision & ideas, as he went over every detail of our big day with us. He truly listened to our thoughts & musical requests, as well as offering helpful suggestions and advice based off of his years of experience. As a guitarist, George created the perfect atmosphere for our ceremony & cocktail hour. During the reception, his DJ skills, extensive array of music, & dance lighting made for a fun-filled party! He was a humble host, yet confident in his talents, and seemed inherently in tune with the mood of our crowd! He was able to seamlessly blend songs to get the younger guests out on the dance floor with songs that everybody loves! Many of our guests commented on how great he was! My friends and family are a diverse crowed from big band, to parrot heads, to metal fans, and germans he kept them all happy! He did a fantastic job playing for our ceremony, and the cocktail hour where he impressed a few of my collage buddies with acoustic metal which my parents friends thought was spanish guitar. He played classical music on the guitar and the Beatles. He sat down with us and really impressed us with his musical skills and his DJ abilities. With George you get the complete package. He is very talented, hard working, thoughtful, thorough, and generally a great guy. I would highly recommend him to family and friends.

George did live guitar music for our ceremony and cocktail hour at the Castleton in Windham NH. His sound was beautiful. He was very organized in setting up and contacting us. We didn't have to worry about a thing. He had a great selection of songs ranging from classical to contemporary and even said that he would learn one new song of our choosing. George did an excellent job, thanks George!

George was our favorite vendor! He is a fantastic guitarist: professional, poised, and cool. He met us at Barnes and Nobles and played every selection we were considering - his rendition of "here comes the bride" is absolutely beautiful.
