nd and helpful through my thousands and thousands of questions leading up to the event and following. The space, is unbeatable, the price for the gorgeous ballroom with all of the tables and chairs included is amazing, and you can't beat being on the water in such a charming town. The best part, for us, was that the bar is a part of Gulfport already, and we could customize the menu and were charged on consumption, instead of a per-head breakdown. Our only frustration with this was that we said there were not allowed to be shots, later to find many had been poured and our bill a bit high because of it. Overall though, this was a small drop in the bucket compared to all things, and we could not have asked for a more perfect space to dance the night away with all the people we love most!

Jon and his staff there are a dream to work with, open and accommodating to making vision a reality, and everyone who attended gushed at the views, the ability of the room to transform to make anything happen, and the historic significance of the space we were able to share. are sticklers! They do not have a useable kitchen. The client must pay for every hour of setup time, even though there are no other events going on, and the rental price for the event is not cheap.
The Gulfport Casino and Ballroom was the perfect place! The staff was wonderful and the Ballroom was beautiful!! Loved that the bartenders came with the venue!! Supper affordable!!

It was also perfect for us, because I wanted a beach wedding, but quickly found out that the resorts on the beach were VERY pricey. While it is not on the Gulf, it is on the Bay, and I still got my beach wedding, without having to move venues for the reception!
The space is pretty much one big dance floor, and a large dance floor was one of the things I was looking for in a venue. It was absolutely perfect for what we needed and wanted, and I could not be happier. Below, I will mention a few of the specifics that you may want to consider when looking at this venue:
Cost is for rental of facility only. You must bring in your own caterer. However, you CAN bring in your own caterer, unlike other venues, which require you to use their caterer, or an "approved" caterer.
Communication was always there from the Casino staff, but sometimes took a day or two. I am an instant gratification person, but once I got used to it, and knew they would eventually get back with me, it was not problem.
They have a bar in the facility, and you are not allowed to bring in your own alcohol. It must be provided through them...even for the champagne toast. However, you can do a cash bar, open bar, or whatever combination works best for you! For me, it was nice to not have to worry about it.
Unlike a hotel, you are responsible for all decorations, and linens, etc. I liked it because I was able to use all of my creativity and put it all together. However, it does take a little extra work to coordinate with the different vendors, and time to put it all together.
Over all, I think that Gulfport Casino is a hidden gem that is drastically under-utilized. It was everything that I could have wanted and more!!!!
