Gumina's a Florist

After a not-so-great consultation with another Grand Rapids florist (who insisted on showing me individual centerpieces that cost as much as my entire floral budget), we were stumped on who to hire. Our caterer raved about Beth, so we decided to give her a call. From the get-go, she was super helpful, incredibly friendly, and had great ideas for our arrangements. The moment I saw our bouquets/boutonnieres on our wedding day, I knew we had made a great decision. They were simply beautiful and turned out better than I could have imagined. Our centerpieces and floral arrangements at the reception were equally as stunning. If you need a florist in the Grand Rapids area, you should definitely hire Beth!

Our flowers were absolutely breathtaking. The guests at our wedding, and everyone who looks at our photographs, immediately comments on how amazing our flowers were. Each of the pieces - the bouquets, the table centerpieces, decorative arrangements around the reception, bunches of flowers on the ends of the pews, and unbelievable orbs of flowers at the front of our ceremony - were stunning. My mom and I gave some input and direction, but the flower arrangements Beth provided on our wedding day absolutely blew me away. We had just one issue with some drooping vines on my bouquet just before the ceremony, but Beth quickly adjusted the bouquet so it looked fresh and perfect again. Even though I guaranty I did a poor job of describing what I wanted, Beth asked lots of questions and clearly understood my vision because the flowers were exactly the kind, color, and style I had imagined. Thank you very much to Beth for all of her help, and I strongly recommend her!

Beth was so great to work with throughout the entire planning process. She was professional, flexible, and had so many great ideas. The bouquets she put together were absolutely perfect! I had given her a picture of something I liked and she found the perfect arrangement that far surpassed my expectations! The ceremony was elegantly decorated and the reception was breathtaking. She really knows how to fill a large room with style, elegance, and beauty. I highly recommend using her!!

Beth did the bouquets, boutineers, corsages and church flowers. They were beautiful. So many compliments! She is a true artist, and will work with your budget! Highly reccomended!

We had very little flowers at my wedding and unfortunately this is one of the things I was disappointed with. My bouquet started falling apart before the ceremony was over.

I loved working with Gumina's Flowers! From the first time we met till the time we got our flowers the day of the wedding Beth was very calm and professional. Every time we met with her, we left reassured and confident that Beth was on the job and it was going to be beautiful. The day of the wedding she blew me away with these exquisite bouquets and center pieces. She turned my ideas into a reality with such ease. Just beautiful work!!

Beth was the most expensive quote I got and probably the least personable person I met with. She was very dry and didn't have the usual, "you're getting married" enthusiasm most vendors do, but I decided to use her anyway b/c my aunt and uncle raved about her work. I understand why. My reception centerpieces and the flowers at the church were the most beautiful I've ever seen and I'm being objective. My only complaint is that despite my giving her many pictures, she got the colors of my roses for the bouquets wrong. I used two shades of pink in the bridesmaids bouquets and one (light pink) for my own. All of the light pink flowers she used were the wrong color. On top of that ALL of the light pink flowers were browning when we got to the church. My sister used to work at a flower shop and said that means she made them too early. In any case that was a big disappointment b/c the bouquets were in every picture. All in all Beth did a wonderful job.
