From the minute I started working with Chris, I knew she was an extremely devoted, talented, and engaged professional makeup artist. At every turn, she made the process easy,. She provided makeup for myself and 8 other women in my bridal party that we all LOVED. I asked for a more natural look, but still wanted to feel dolled up - she did the right amount of makeup that looked great in pictures and lasted the whole day. Thanks for everything, Chris, you are the real deal!

I’ve had my makeup done multiple times for friend’s weddings, but when it comes to your own wedding you want it to be extra special. When my sister recommended her friend, I was somewhat hesitant, because you don’t want just anyone doing your makeup for the most important day of you life. But little did I know her friend was Chris, the owner of Gunpowder ‘N Gloss. Chris offers a variety of packages to fit your needs - including a trial session and your very own lip gloss (which is her own product!). During the trial she takes the time to make sure it is exactly what you are looking for and it doesn’t hurt her feelings if you want to make a change. She is there for you! I had never tried fake lashes before but we talked through the options and I was really happy I chose to do them! They add an extra pop to your pictures! On the wedding day, she was able to do my makeup, 5 bridesmaids, 2 moms and 2 flower girls! She stayed on time and kept us moving! During my turn we had a bit of chaos going on with the venue and she was able to calm me and do her thing while I wasn’t the most still. I couldn’t have been more happy with how my makeup turned out. I have never felt more beautiful than I did that day and I received so many compliments on my makeup. Chris is a rockstar and will make you feel and look like the queen you are supposed to be on your wedding day! And you get to continue the look after the wedding with your very own Gunpowder ‘N Gloss lip gloss!

I can not say enough wonderful things about Chris! She was so talented, warm, and flexible. I loved that she offered a makeup trial. We were able to figure out all of the details for my bridal makeup at the trial and everything went flawlessly the day of the wedding. She also traveled an hour and a half to where we were which was so convenient! In addition to me she did my Mom's makeup and 3 of my bridesmaids. She was even able to squeeze in my maid of honor at the last minute and we still left early to get to the venue. I also LOVE her lipgloss line, now I have my day of the wedding gloss that I continue to wear. I will continue to recommend her to every bride I know, she was just fantastic.

I worked with Olivia and Chris for my day. They were both absolutely spectacular for me and my bridesmaids. I also purchased their lip gloss and it’s absolutely fantastic! I’d highly recommend Gunpowder and Gloss to all brides and their maids and moms!
