ch in the first place, and the views really do not disappoint. You’re surrounded by mountains and beautiful terrain in essentially every direction. The property sits far enough away from the road that you really feel tucked away in your own little mountain valley, which makes the setting feel incredibly private and special. We were lucky with beautiful sunset the first night.
It has the perfect combination of a ranch and mountain feel. You get the rustic ranch house and barn, but you’re also surrounded by aspens, mountains, and that high-elevation Colorado atmosphere. It gives you a beautiful backdrop without feeling like a traditional barn wedding venue.
The onsite accommodations were a bonus for us. Having a house on the property that can sleep 12 (I believe) is incredibly convenient and saved some of our friends having to book an Airbnb that were traveling, which saved them money. We also were glad we paid for the extra night on the property. Having the extra time before and after the wedding made setting up and cleaning up more manageable.
There is freedom and flexibility. This is a great venue for couples who want to make the day their own . You have flexibility with vendors, where you hold the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception, and how you want the day to look. If you want a less traditional wedding, louder music, unique vendors, or something outside of the typical wedding formula, this venue gives you a lot of freedom to do that.
The Cons
Communication was probably our biggest frustration with the venue..
We often had to follow up multiple times before getting an answer, and sometimes it would take a week or more to hear back and not fully clear or answered.
We had to pay for bathrooms (which weren’t cheap). It is a trailer-style bathroom, with stairs to get inside. This was difficult for some of our guests and our 101 yr old gma. They also smelled pretty awful when inside. I can understand the fee but I think we paid $1500 which seemed excessive IMO.
The rocks could be a con. The entire venue is basically rock with some cement and the barn. Most of our guests were in heels and made it a little challenging to walk around..
Vendor options are limited. We were able to find vendors willing to travel from Denver but at an additional price so that added up quickly.
KEY TAKEAWAY:
A day-of /month of coordinator is a MUST for this venue. With this venue being so hands-on and having so many moving pieces, I would absolutely recommend hiring a coordinator. Our coordinator, Kerr (Care) with HK planners was a lifesaver and made such a difference in keeping everything moving and allowing us to actually enjoy our wedding day.

Going back to having something for ever, this was so important. You get the quiet of the Rockies and able to make everyone happy!! Love the game room and basketball court for kids. We also love we don’t have to bring much, the ranch speaks for itself.

o you can make your own informed decision for what suits you as a couple! We got married on September 21, 2024.
The pros of this venue:
Incredible mountain views, 270 degrees, all around you. This includes 13er's and cool terrain. Far enough from the road to remove most noise and be alone in the dramatic valley.
Perfect mix between the country and the mountain vibe. Ranch style house and barn for your reception. Mountain views, high elevation feel, aspen trees on property.
Onsite housing that sleeps a whole family which can help eliminate booking a separate Airbnb. And 4 nights and 5 days on property which greatly helps with set up/tear down.
Complete flexibility on vendors, location of ceremony/cocktail hour/reception. Plenty of freedom for couples that want that. Loud music, self-serve alcohol, non-traditional vendors or weddings, this is great for!
The cons of this venue:
Lack of communication, coordination, and assistance especially during the planning phase. For example we self toured the venue 3 times with the property owner never being available or cancelling at the last minute. We've actually still never met them. Every time we had a question (and you'll have plenty since it's just a blank slate venue) we had to follow up multiple times to get answers which typically came a week later. Owners badly need to hire a full time manager of the venue/property for communication, it is obvious they are keeping overhead lower but not doing that.
The venue is very basic. Eeverything is self set up so assume all day prior and all day after will be set up and tear down/clean up of the whole property. Some tables and chairs are very old and need to be updated.
Bathrooms, while nice, will be a trailer bathroom. This will cause some difficulty with guests who have trouble climbing a few stairs, cause some lines to form, and change the wedding formality slightly. In addition, it is slightly misleading, but you don't hire your own, they hire royal restrooms for the whole season and park it there and then charge you for its use.
Total price of our venue was misleading. Online we saw $7,500, but our contract ended up being $10,000 since it was "peak season and there is an up charge", but that is not published anywhere. This caused some friction early on in our booking phase.
Other information that can be a pro/con depending on the couple:
The venue is at 9,800 ft which is what gives the amazing views and vibe but keep in mind that increases your change of hourly weather change. We had rain and snow on our day in September which was memorable for sure! And obviously more intoxicated guests as well due to the elevation.
Day of coordinator an absolute must for all the moving parts of this type of unique venue. Sami Jo was a life saver. (720) 485-2887
Will NOT fit 200 people in the reception barn. Outside you have all the space in the world but we squeezed 150 inside the barn with a dance floor and it was perfect but couldn't hold many more.
We found a decent number of vendors willing to drive to the venue from Denver but your options will be more limited than closer venues, and assume a travel fee on every vendor which adds ~10%.

Setup and Furnishings

For setup and takedown, we offer extended access over multiple days to allow ample time for planning, decorating, and personal touches. We regularly assess our tables and chairs and replace items as needed, but we also encourage couples to bring in rentals or extra items if a specific look or feel is desired. We appreciate your feedback, and we're always striving to enhance our offerings to meet couples' needs.
Bathrooms
Thank you for sharing your thoughts about the restroom arrangements. For events with over 50 guests, we provide a climate-controlled restroom trailer to ensure comfort and convenience for your guests. While this is an additional cost, we believe it enhances the overall experience by offering a more functional and comfortable solution than traditional portable restrooms—especially at a mountain venue like ours.
Our flexible vendor policy is designed to allow couples the freedom to manage their budget, often resulting in cost savings that can offset expenses like the restroom trailer. We appreciate your feedback and are always looking for ways to make this process as seamless and transparent as possible.
Price
Thank you for sharing your thoughts on pricing. Our base price last season was indeed $7,500, with the option to add additional days at $1,000 per day. For peak weekends, such as the third weekend in September—one of our most popular times due to the stunning fall foliage—we have a $10,000 minimum. Barn Size

enue to escape to the mountains and craft a purposeful weekend full of your favorite people in a rustic, outdoor paradise, you've found it. We got married in mid July on the ranch and had the full weekend to enjoy time with loved ones. From the very beginning, Allison was flexible and genuinely wanted to know how to help make our day a success. This is not your traditional cookie-cutter venue and is such an exceptional place to really make your wedding YOURS. The property is massive and so picturesque with sweeping plains and big mountains all around. The space is so accommodating for whatever you want to dream up for your special day and perhaps most unique of all, it can be rented for an entire weekend as a place to stay and celebrate with those you love so you don't need to try to squeeze everything into a single evening. We had a relaxed welcome event with a taco truck, beers and yard games on Friday night as an excuse to spend some extra time with out of town guests. As it cooled down, everyone gathered around the firepits trading stories. The night before really took pressure off of the wedding day and the meadow within the ranch was so perfect. There is even a saloon with a whole selection of games (ping-pong, cornhole, horseshoes) already there to enjoy. This also served as a fabulous indoor space for 15 minutes right after our ceremony on Saturday when we had a quick afternoon thunderstorm roll through. The barn was cozy and a perfect space for dancing during the reception. We danced until 2 am and although our vendors all trickled out when their roles were done, there was no cut-off time at the venue itself so we were able to dance all night long. This is incredibly unique. Very few venues allow this. We fell in love with the views first but truly could not have imagined a more fabulous, relaxed space for our celebration. Thank you Guyton Ranch! It will forever be a special place in our hearts.

venue! Allison and Michelle helped us with timeliness and so much kindness. The ranch house was stocked with emergency kits and amenities needed for a wedding. It did storm in the afternoon both during the rehearsal dinner and the wedding, but there were plenty of indoor spaces ready to use in a pinch. Wedding was small, less than 40 people, but could have accommodated more easily. Thank you for making our wedding everything we dreamed of!

ave a homegrown feel to it. We rented Guyton for 4 days, and hosted several pre-wedding events (yoga, food truck, live music, yard games), and our ceremony. It was absolutely perfect for us! They had everything we needed, and none of the frilly bells and whistles that we didn’t need. Our guests had an amazing time, and we were told by many that it was their favorite wedding they had ever been to!

was not expecting to find something as beautiful as Guyton Ranch within our timeframe. We felt so lucky that there was an opening in September! And the fact that we could essentially have the entire venue for a weekend and didn't have to rush to set up or take things down was well worth the price of the venue. We were able to not only have our wedding there, but create a whole wedding weekend experience with our friends and family that we will forever cherish. We did not have a planner and so we worked directly with Allison ourselves. Allison was friendly, helpful, and accommodating throughout the process. There were a couple of times where communication took a while from the venue, but when taking into consideration that we got direct communication from her, the owner, and it wasn't going through anyone else we still felt satisfied with the experience and communication. A child in our wedding party broke something on grounds and we were really horrified and felt terrible, and Allison was kind and understanding about it. The cost of repair came out of our security deposit and she documented things clearly and we got the remaining funds back, no issues. We are so happy we chose Guyton Ranch and would choose it again if we had to do everything all over again!

The venue was exactly what I wanted and had spent a lot of hours researching and trying to find online: mountain ranch with indoor/outdoor ceremony and reception options, beautiful views, remote but close enough to Denver airport to make travel for out-of-state guests reasonably priced, places for guests to stay nearby (the house itself held a lot of us and there are a ton of air bnb cabins 5-20 mins from the ranch), very kid friendly, tons of fun things to do on the ranch (the game room was a big hit at the rehearsal party), allowed us to bring our own vendors/alcohol, provided some day of assistance/coordination, provided tables/chairs, plenty of parking, allowed our guests to camp on the property if they wanted, had two bonfire pits, multiple bar options.. it was just the perfect venue. The fact they let you plan your day how you want it without the super restrictive rules that some other venues have was very important to me as well. The only thing I would mention is that cell phone service is very spotty on and near the ranch (which is to be expected in the mountains). There is wifi, but it mainly only works near the big house. So don't forget to warn your guests about that! I did.. whoops. You may also want to include a map or a pin to the ranch on your website, as many people's GPS systems led them to the back entry of the ranch. For the amount of amenities, the beauty of the location, the ease of working with the owner, the reasonable price compared to similar venues, and everything else I just mentioned.. I highly recommend Guyton Ranch. It will forever be the place of my happiest day.

ly beautiful backdrop for your special day, this place is it! Simply breathtaking! Now onto the ranch itself. We wanted a place for the entire wedding party and their families to stay for the event and some. We ended up renting out the ranch for an extended 5-day stay which we did not regret. This allowed for plenty of set up and tear down time so we didn't feel rushed. The ranch is beautifully decorated and super cozy. Plenty of room for 10+ guests. Beds were comfy and there are several bathrooms located throughout the house. Behind the house itself, you will find a "saloon" that includes ping pong, foosball and much more. This was a huge hit with both the kids and the adults. Outside, they have corn hole, fire pits, horseshoe pits, a basketball court and more. Such a great area for hosting several guests, we all had a lot of fun here! For your event, they offer a huge reception hall which is absolutely beautiful! We were able to decorate however we liked to make the event our own. They provide tables, chairs and restrooms which was a huge selling point for us because that eliminated the extra expense of having to rent these items. Another huge selling point for us was the fact that they allow you to bring in your own vendors. We booked Famous Dave's BBQ for our food, brought in our own Bartender - Shay from Behind The Platter, booked our own DJ - Justin from Exclusive Events and brought in our own cupcakes - Karen at KB's Kakery. We were very against being forced to use a venue's specific vendors and Guyton Ranch allows you to make your event as unique as you are. Allison was a huge help throughout the event and was open to any requests or suggestions we had. Our day turned out perfect and our guests are still raving about the venue. Guyton Ranch is your place, you won't regret it!

truly majestic. The house is adorable, sheets soft, and the fridge is big enough for your food leftovers! The venue is spacious - there’s a saloon with all sorts of games in it, the barn is big enough to hold the ceremony and reception in. They made a brunch for my husband and I with local Colorado foods which was so thoughtful. I could honestly just keep rambling about how much I loved this venue, but you should just hurry up and check their availability.

The kids in attendance enjoyed s’mores at the fire pit, exploring the ranch, kickball, the game room and more! They begged us to come back for another visit when we left!
Having a chapel right on premises was the perfect highlight to our renewal ceremony. It was so very quaint and felt like it was built just for us!

It was so nice not having to rush to set up and tear down so we could get some quality time in with our loved ones. ewell brunch on Sunday everything was flawless. The team at Guyton Ranch were on call and present for all requests prior and during the weekend. So important for weddings there are so many details that needed quick answers and Allison was always there to answer our calls .
Loved the fact that we had the home for the weekend so the family could enjoy being together .
The house had great space for make up artist and bridesmaids to be together and enjoy being with the bride in their own private area . I have to mention how well and manicured the grounds were kept and kudos to our ranch hand for all his help through the weekend with a smile . I wanted to invite him to be a guest.
The bride and groom got everything they wanted. Rehearsal dinner casual with food trucks and a jazz band, the ceremony facing the mountains, the barn which we dressed up for reception. I can go on and on what a great experience we had and how the ranch checked off all the boxes for my son and daughter wanted for their wedding weekend. I would not have changed a thing...

ns. Upon our arrival we spent hours cleaning in order to make the place presentable for our guests. The owner was challenging to communicate with and we never met her face-to-face. Our wedding was beautiful in the end, but by the time we purchased a restroom (they supply one porta potty) the quality was not comparable to other venues in the same price range. Per request, I gave feedback after our stay and the owner responded, but didn't seem interested in our constructive criticism. To future brides/grooms, take into consideration how much time and effort you may have to expend to make the ranch wedding ready before you commit to getting married here.

every step of the way. My husband and I loved the fact that we had access to the property for multiple days and we didn’t have to hurry up and rush our special day. It also was so much fun to have the wedding party stay on property with us! All of our guests were in awe of the views and the ranch itself. We loved the fact that the ranch is a blank canvas that you can tailor to fit what you want, with the vendors you want. We could not recommend Guyton Ranch more!

etting. Our guests couldn’t stop telling us it was the most beautiful backdrop they have ever seen. It was a perfect DIY wedding spot. We were able to bring in our own food truck, bar tending options, and even stay with our family in the house on the property. The owner of the ranch Allison was absolutely fantastic. Planning a wedding during a pandemic was not ideal, but having Allison to help support us through it was so helpful. The day of Ranch hand offered with the property helped everything go smoothly the day of and I couldn’t say enough wonderful things about Chelsea. She took any bit of last minute stress away in an instant. I am not sure I could fully encompass everything we loved about Guyton Ranch in a short review, but it is an incredibly special place we will always love and I highly recommend this venue for any wedding or event.

They had set up a ton of lights and the dance party had some serious vibes. The ranch itself is beautiful--it's a very authentic Colorado ranch that is also luxurious. It has a very high end feel. The wedding was amazing, the decor that the bride chose was perfect for the ranch, the weather was perfect, the sunset was perfect, the whole night was incredible for my friends getting married.

laxing and enjoyable trip I’ve ever had. Had the entire ranch to ourselves and it truly was an escape of a life time. I’ve stayed in some very nice 5 star hotels with some amazing views and exceptional services but there is absolutely no comparison to the peacefulness and sights and sounds of wildlife around you. The stars were a must see and the glow of the mountains at dawn and dusk surrounding the property was something I’ll never forget. There wasn’t a dull moment for this kids to explore the property and games for days for them to entertain themselves. There was a book on the table in the living room that had family gatherings and in the front entry way was a warm welcome of family photos and history on the ranch. It’s welcoming and calming that there is an opportunity to see the beauty of this family that has opened up there home for a one of a kind Colorado ranch experience and makes you feel at home yourself. I’m grateful to share this experience with my own family and hope that yours can to. Thanks to the Guyton Family and for opening your doors to mine. Ever in Texas and need a place to stay. much as we did. This venue creates more of a full "experience" than the typical venue. First of all, the views are to die for! If you are looking for the most incredible mountain views during your ceremony, this is your spot! There was also several different areas throughout the property that our guests were able to enjoy. The outdoor courtyard, the game hall, the basketball court, the indoor barn space are just a few places that made this venue so much fun. The family who owns this ranch is a huge part of what made my wedding planning experience so special. Allison Guyton was extremely hands on and always willing to answer any questions I had. Through the uncertain times of COVID-19 she has always communicated very openly about what was going on. I cannot express enough how helpful she was since day one. These are really great people with an amazing property and anyone would be lucky to have their wedding here!

Every room I walked into was my new favorite, the saddle seats in the kitchen were a very cool touch and fun for pictures, the bedrooms were all very cozy and had such attention to detail that I would have been happy to stay in any of them. My top two favorite spots were the silo sitting room because it was so different, and a very cool use of space, and my favorite spot was the living room with the oversized glass doors showing off the incredible views of the mountains. Then I went outside and saw the attention to details in all the out buildings! The owners did an incredible job capturing the wild west theme of the super fun accessory building and the games inside were very fun. Both the dance room, and the function hall were absolutely beautiful complete with a rustic feel. I would not change one thing about this Ranch!
The first night we sat in the rocking chairs out on the front porch with a drink in our hands listening to some music and watching a thunder storm off in the distance, I was in pure bliss. The next morning I woke up early and enjoyed the stillness in the air as the sun rose over the mountains, it was an incredible view of the fields with cows and the most breathtaking mountains. During the afternoon we went exploring the town where we went horseback riding, and to a local saloon for a beer, and then we explored more of what this cute little town had to offer. Then we went back to the ranch and walked along some trails to enjoy the fresh air. Cooking dinner in the kitchen was so easy as they had everything we needed to make a home cooked meal. We ate dinner at the indoor/ outdoor table looking out at the mountains. That evening we had a fire outside under the stars… you have never seen stars like this! It was by far the best viewing of the stars I have seen yet. Needless to say, I have fallen in love with this ranch and can’t wait to get back there. You and your group will not be disappointed if you choose to stay here. I highly recommend staying at the Guyton Ranch!

ur daughters wedding affordable ! Our guest were allowed to camp on the property for the 2 day event along with guests staying in the house. We weren't tied to any caterer so we were able to cater our self. We were able to setup the party barn the day before, this was extremely helpful to keep stress low for the day of the wedding. After setting up the barn we had a game night with our guest in the game barn(Saloon) that allowed our families to get to know each other, what a fun night that was. The day of the wedding was magical with incredible 360 degree views of snow caped mountains. Absolutely breathtaking ! It really eased our mind to know we could have ceremony in the barn or chapel if the weather didn't cooperate. You never know what the weather will be in Colorado! The Barn was perfect for our dinner then dancing, the rustic atmosphere made it feel like a true Colorado wedding. The ranch hand was super helpful and worked hard at anything we asked of her. If you are looking for an Outdoor Colorado Rustic Wedding Venue I would absolutely recommend Guyton Ranch !!!

e friends and family with so many different areas of the home to enjoy. On the other hand, the seemingly unlimited choices of spaces for large events opens up the venue for anything you can imagine. The incredible views and outdoor space are enough to make any wedding magical. But the additional unique barns, dancehall, chapel and silos provide so many options for the reception, rehearsal dinner or any events before and after the wedding, and back up if it rains. There’s so much space on the beautiful 330 acres you’ll feel like you have the whole state to yourself even though it’s very accessible to Denver and Breckenridge. Top all that off with hosts that truly want to make your wedding the best day of your life and you can’t go wrong with this venue.

perty for 4 days it alleviated the stress of having to get everything ready the day of the wedding. We were able to relax and enjoy spending time with family and friends. All our guests loved the property and the Colorado western experience, you couldn't ask for a better backdrop for an outdoor ceremony and they were even able to ride off on their horses. The owners Allison and Brad were wonderful and responsive all along the way, they both wanted us to be happy and have a great experience. The ranch hand we had the day of the wedding was awesome, so helpful and great to work with. Be prepared for Colorado weather, we had some issues with the rain coming through and had to move into the big white barn but that's what's great about the property; they have many options. The house is beautifully decorated and cozy, it has everything you need with a fully stocked kitchen, western details (love the silo turned into living space), and room for a dozen plus people to sleep.
