If you are interested in having your ceremony and reception with us, the best option is to add on the Wedding Ceremony Package for $500 – no matter the ceremony location inside or outside. Our Wedding Ceremony Package includes set-up and breakdown of your chairs at your ceremony site, a dressing room for the bride and groom, and a sixty minute rehearsal at your ceremony site during our normal business hours 1 – 2 days before your wedding. This is an ideal choice because guests can enjoy the splendor of the Center and grounds as they go from the ceremony to the reception. Both the Ivy Room and Blue Planet offer splendid views and is the perfect backdrop to your special day. Blue Planet is a room all its own and is our largest room that can seat up to 225 people.

Cannot recommend this place for a large wedding. There is no dedicated point of contact with all the information you need, they do not communicate any of the many many restrictions their management imposes until you ask about them. We had to go up to the county administration to get straight answers. Despite being a public (beautiful) building it is not a cheap venue at all. You cannot decorate the venue until you rent it, so that can blow your budget quickly if you’re trying to set up yourselves. You also cannot rent the venue out more than a calendar year in advance, do bear that in mind. We had the wedding of our dreams here DESPITE this venue, not because of them. The staff we actually met face to face were lovely and helpful but they had no decision power to help us.

Such a beautiful and perfect wedding venue! It was affordable and the parking lot was so convenient for traveling guests. The outside of the building and greenery made for gorgeous pictures. The inside looked great as well! While I was eating my dinner, I took a moment and looked around and the room and it looked so nice! The greenery seen outside the windows was so pretty and made the room look bigger and brighter in the best way! The staff was very helpful and informed in the planning process and worked with me along the way to make everything perfect!

I searched high and low for a venue that would fit within our budget, make sense with our guest count (which was ultimately 45), reflect our personalities and values, and match the vision I had in my head for a natural feeling, airy space...that would also allow me creative freedom with decor and choosing of vendors...At long last, I fount the GEHC! Our guests all remarked on the beauty and uniqueness of our venue. We loved that it was LEED certified. The staff was easy to work with, and I was allowed to set up my handmade decorations exactly how I wanted with few (very reasonable) restrictions. My bridesmaids and I had a spacious classroom/dressing room to get ready in that featured a wall of mirrors, ample tables, chairs, outlets, and sinks, and my guys were very comfortable in their room that had a large couch and television before the ceremony. The venue rents tables and chairs for very reasonable rates, and set everything up just how we had planned in the layout meeting- everything was already in place when I arrived at 8am! The best thing was the number of gorgeous locations we were able to use for photographs- our photographer had a ball, and so did we! The waterfall, bridge, and surrounding nature trails offered more scenery than we had time to take advantage of! This venue fit us perfectly- it’s not exactly traditional, and you need to have a vision and drive to execute it yourself. If that sounds like you, I highly recommend GEHC!

I had a wonderful experience! The place is clean, environmental friendly and exquisite. The staff are wonderful! These guys really put their heart and soul into teaching, mentoring, and educating the kids while making it fun!

The Gwinnett Environmental and Heritage Center was the BEST place to have a wedding. All of our guest loved how the building looked and all the features of the venue. The staff was super helpful and always answering my questions. This was such a beautiful space to have a wedding. We love GEHC!

We had our ceremony and reception here and it was wonderful. The staff did a great job having everything set up as requested for our vendors to get set up day of. The rooms provided to get ready in are spacious and comfortable. We had our ceremony outside under the bridge and it could not have been a more beautiful setting. Our reception was held in the Ivy room, with the floor to ceiling windows it was quite impressive in the evening as the sun set. We also reserved the main exhibit hall for a cocktail hour, our guests really enjoyed having something to look at during that transitional time. Also the kids section at the back was a huge hit with our younger family members. Overall a great value in comparison with other venues and fit perfectly with our outdoorsy personalities.

We could not have picked a better venue for our wedding than Gwinnett Environmental and Heritage Center. Its natural beauty combined with its ready made party space made it a perfect match. We held our ceremony under the bridge outside. The waterfalls and the rocks made for a perfect landscape for our photographer and a nice setting for our guests. The only negative was that in our reception space, the tables were not set up to our specifications. That was quickly taken care of so everything turned out fine. Thank you to Lisa Howell. She was great to work with.
