First off, Emily and her team are artists.
We got married at Lucky Arrow Retreat outside Austin, and our aesthetic was a mix of Texas country western meets queer bar: lots of vibr...
ant, bold colors. We wanted something playful, unexpected, and a little bit dramatic. We came to Gypsy Floral with some pretty clear vision boards for the look and feel of the event, and Emily and her team understood the assignment completely. They brought our vision to life while adding layers of detail, texture, and character that we never would have been able to come up with on our own.
Since we were planning from out of town, Emily and her team met with us multiple times over Zoom, which made the process incredibly easy. She was also fantastic about collaborating with our other vendors, particularly our caterer and coordinator, to make sure the florals, tablescapes, food stations, and overall design felt cohesive rather than like separate pieces.
The ceremony florals were a particular highlight. They were dreamy and somehow felt both incredibly special and completely at home in the brushy Hill Country landscape at Lucky Arrow. The colors tied beautifully into the rest of the event. Those arrangements were also reused for our receiving line immediately following the ceremony, which was great. It made aesthetic sense, but importantly, Gypsy was never trying to sell us additional arrangements.
There were also so many incredible details throughout the reception. The structural arrangements at our food stations were a true coup de grâce, and we loved the more unexpected touches, like the dramatic lamps and the beautiful arrangement in a punch bowl belonging to my grandmother near the bar. Those details gave the whole event so much personality and made the space feel like our wedding rather than simply a beautifully decorated venue.
We also want to highlight the incredible effort the entire Gypsy Floral team put in on the wedding day itself. They got us into our boutonnieres, handled the transition of florals when we needed to move them for photos, and managed all of the behind-the-scenes logistics so seamlessly that we never had to think twice about them. They made the entire process low-stress, which we deeply appreciated.
We received so many compliments from our guests about the flowers and overall design, and we continue to hear the same from friends and family when we show them our wedding photos. We couldn't recommend Gypsy Floral more highly. Emily and the whole Gypsy Floral team brought an incredible combination of artistic vision, creativity, attention to detail, and care to our wedding, and we are so grateful they were part of making the day what it was.

talent. They handled the floral design for both our wedding and rehearsal, and I can honestly say they were my favorite vendor and one of the most unforgettable parts of our entire celebration.
Every bloom felt personal and intentional—elegant, romantic, and completely in tune with the vision I didn’t even know how to fully articulate. They just got it. The level of detail, artistry, and care they brought to the day made everything feel magical.
Beyond their talent, Emily and the Gypsy gang are such a joy to work with. So kind, thoughtful, and organized—it felt like working with my dearest friends who also happened to be floral geniuses.

one-of-a-kind and working with their team is such a delight! They are professional, fun, thoughtful, and creative -- what more could you ask for in your florist? If I could think of one vendor team that I refer to everyone after my wedding, it’s Gypsy Floral.
To start off, the Gypsy Floral team (especially Emily and LeAnna) were a DREAM to...
work with. They were patient with my mom and me as we talked through the entire wedding day and what we had in mind for the overall feel. I admit, I did not know much about florals and installations, or what was possible and what everything costs. They were so great to work with, bringing our vision to life while also understanding that we did not want to go over our allotted budget. From the initial consultation to the final setup on the big day, every detail was handled with the utmost care and professionalism.
On the day of the wedding, the setup was seamless despite the extreme wind they had to deal with throughout the day. Their attention to detail and inspired creativity were the compliments we received the most throughout the night. Emily, LeAnna, and their team went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect.
I can't even begin to express how absolutely thrilled we were with ALL of the floral arrangements for our wedding day. Everything from bouquets to boutonnieres, table floral arrangements to entryway florals, and the ceremony installation, their work was simply breathtaking and a perfect reflection of my vision for my big day. All the florals complemented each other so beautifully, and the team at Gypsy Floral transformed our ceremony and reception venue into the most beautiful garden wedding. Every guest commented on how gorgeous the floral arrangements were, and many took photos specifically to capture the beauty of the flowers.
In short, if you are looking for an inspired floral vision and a team that genuinely cares about making your wedding day special, Gypsy Floral is right for you.

and the flowers were STUNNING. I was not expecting to be blown away by flowers- and while we went all out on the arch, we were more minimal in other areas, but let me tell you, they knocked it out of the park. Amazing to feel like even the flowers at our wedding were personal. They were beautiful, elevated the space and still felt like us. What a dream. Thanks, Gypsy Floral!

appy to work with our different style inspirations and color palette even though it was a little unusual for standard wedding flowers. We were definitely looking for something different and Gypsy Floral delivered in spades! All the centerpieces were gorgeous- our guests couldn't stop raving about them. The bouquets were absolutely breathtaking and everyone loved the boutonnieres and corsages. Most of all, the bridal bouquet was the most perfect thing I have ever seen. Leigh did an amazing job with flower choice, construction, color, and movement in the bouquet! We had non-stop compliments from all the guests and many of the vendors about the work that Gypsy Floral did. Our wedding absolutely wouldn't have been the same without them. To top it all off, Leigh is an absolute delight to work with and a lovely person all-around. I can't recommend Gypsy Floral enough!
The gypsy floral team was so accommodating! They worked around my schedule, and allowed me to have a hand in the creative process. They were the perfect game planners to my vision.

ey have been so accommodating and gracious through it all. Emily and her team even surprised my husband and I on our original wedding day with a gorgeous picnic and florals so we could still honor that day and make it special. She goes above and beyond to make sure her clients are happy. Emily and her team are amazingly talented and creative with their ideas. We had a few brainstorming meetings on floral design and I left every meeting so excited for our wedding day. Come our wedding day, walking around the venue I was in tears with how gorgeous everything turned out. I am a designer, so I probably wasn't the easiest client to work with in terms of being picky with what I wanted, but Emily absolutely made the vision come to life! I cannot say enough good things about Gypsy Floral - I cannot wait to use them again for something in the future. I now have my go-to florists turned friends :)
We worked with Gypsy Floral for our rehearsal dinner at the Allan House after seeing their beautiful work on Instagram and hearing rave reviews from others in the wedding industry....
Leading up to the event, I felt completely comfortable that they understood my vision and let them run with it. In short, they created a whimsical dinner ambiance that exceeded my very high expectations. I also think the floral packages are a great value and felt our budget was well utilized. All around, a great experience working with Emily and Leigh!

was obviously very nervous about finding the right vendor and getting the best possible flower arrangements for our wedding. My nerves melted away after speaking with Emily and Leigh from Gypsy. They are very knowledgeable professionals and their past work shows that they consistently create stunning pieces of floral art. I am confident that I could have given them no guidance whatsoever and they would have made something amazing for my wedding. Working with Leigh to specify our personal floral preferences gave us a final product which combined Gypsy's creative abilities with our own personal touches. It turned out to be nothing short of perfect. We received so many compliments about the florals during our wedding. The bridal bouquet, the boutonnieres, the growing arrangements, table vases, all of it was so unique, personalized, and beautiful. Working with Gypsy could not have been easier: they were communicative, responsive to changes, and knowledgeable. I cannot recommend them enough!

ard Emily works to make every single wedding and event exactly what the client has in mind and how creative and CRAZY talented she is at creating beauty. She is so easy and fun to work with and it was such a special experience to get to talk through my ideas with her and then see it all come together in the most amazing way. I had some really specific things that I wanted, like using my mom and I's collection of milk glass vases, bright blooms and a few specific flower types, but I completely trusted Emily and her team to develop the overall plan and execute a beautiful design. They came through 1000%. Tears came to my eyes when I saw what I had imagined actually brought to life and it was so much more special that my dear friends had been the ones to do it. Gypsy Floral is the best in Austin and I cannot recommend them highly enough!! It’s been a few months since my wedding and people still tell me they cannot get over how beautiful the flowers were.

seasonal touches. Emily has the eye of a Dutch painter (possibly from her time living in Holland), and she creates stunning, unique and personalized event experiences with flowers and greenery. Just take a peek at her Instagram (gypsyfloral), and you will know exactly what I mean. She brought our wedding ceremony site to life with a gorgeous backdrop installation that looked like it was growing from the ground up, the loveliest bouquets and boutonnieres, tabletop arrangements with candles and decor pieces, an incredible wrought-iron spiral staircase greenery installation, bar and dessert table arrangements, and just so many little details - she even threw in extra thoughtful additions on the day-of such as arranging greenery over a big fireplace and mantle that was noticed and appreciated by so many. Our wedding guests couldn't stop raving about the floral and greenery, and it was so delightful for me to see our vision and Emily's work take form on my wedding day. For example, I wanted some "wildness" to our ceremony site installation and throughout our floral arrangements, and Emily balanced our elegant garden roses, tulips and greenery with the most interesting variety of seasonal wildflower-type blooms, buds, and even berry-type plants. I highly recommend Emily as your florist and event designer, she is a straight shooter and will be real with you when it comes to visioning, making decisions and translating your style and vision into an unforgettable experience. She is especially helpful when she holds firm about how realistic certain ideas and opinions (everyone will have one, and likely to be different!) are to carry out through floral.
I won't hesitate to hire Emily for a future event, whether it's for work, a baby shower, a special celebration or beyond. Thanks so much for knocking this out of the park, Emily and Gypsy Floral. Wishing you lots of gezellig!
P.S. For those of you unfamiliar with the word "gezellig" - it's Dutch for a cozy and inviting social situation, and Emily has a great neon sign of this word up in her studio. We rented it for our wedding since our family lived in Holland for years, and our wedding guests especially loved the meaning behind the sign on our big day.

own to a vision board that made me cry because it was exactly what I wanted! Her personality is amazing and she is all about making your dreams come true! Let’s be honest, besides the love you have for your partner, flowers set the whole vibe of your wedding. Our wedding vibe was moody wild autumn florals and her whole team delivered above and beyond what was expected! We had this HUGE longhorn skull we wanted to incorporate into our ceremony alter from the beginning and at the last minute I decided it may be too complicated to get to the venue, but Emily knew how sentimental it was to us and organized a way to get it there because she is AMAZING! She was always available to communicate about new ideas, updates to the layout and changes to our contract. I never had to worry about them as a vendor because they are so trustworthy and on top of their game. On the day of, my bridesmaids were mesmerized watching her team set up the ceremony and reception sites because they were so focused on every detail! I really could go on and on about how they made my wedding dreams come true but within minutes of meeting with Gypsy Floral (or by following their instagram account) you will find out for yourself why they are the best of the best! Hiring them for my wedding was one of the best decisions I made!
