Habitude Salons and Spa

For my wedding day hair and makeup I went to Habitude at the Locks. They did a trial run for both hair and makeup for myself as well as my wedding day hair and makeup. They also did hair and makeup for my wedding day for my mom and some of my bridesmaids. Habitude at the Locks is a very large salon, which is one of the main reasons I chose them because unlike some other smaller salons they could accommodate a group of 4 people in about 2 and a half hours the morning of my wedding, whereas with a smaller salon we would have had to go in much earlier that morning in order to get everyone done in time. Kate did my updo and she did a wonderful job of trying to incorporate the elements that I liked in pictures I showed her into my hairstyle. She also made sure to take pictures of it after we were done so she could repeat it on my wedding day. I would definitely recommend her as she did a wonderful job and was easy to talk with while I was getting my hair done. I also had my makeup done by Heather, who was so fun to chat with! I didn't bring any pictures for my makeup so I had to just describe what I wanted to look like and she did a wonderful job of not having a lot to go off of as far as what I wanted. I mostly explained that I didn't want to feel caked with makeup and I still wanted to look like myself and I wanted the makeup to be very natural and light. She did exactly that. She was also good about changing some small details that I didn't quite like. She took notes on exactly what she did so she could recreate it in a timely fashion on my wedding day for me. My only complaint about Habitude is that it was a bit pricey. I thought that my trial hair and makeup was included in my wedding hair and makeup price or was at least significantly less since it was just a trial, but I was pretty much charged full price for an updo and makeup (it might have been about $10 or $15 less, but that's it). If I had known that I might not have done the trials or may have at least not done the makeup trial because I basically paid for my wedding hair and makeup twice, which was very expensive (even compared to other salons I considered). My mom and bridesmaid were also very happy with their stylists and with how their hair and makeup turned out. My bridesmaid had their done by the "trainee" stylists because it was very inexpensive ($25) and they did an excellent job so I would definitely recommend them. Despite the price, everyone in my party was very pleased with Habitude's services and for the time crunch we were in the morning to get done as quickly as possible an get on with the day, they did a great job of keeping us on time!
