Tucked among 25 acres of Georgia countryside just outside Athens, Hadden Estate is where garden romance meets Southern blueberry farm charm, a destination wedding retreat where vows are exchanged among the vines and celebrations linger long into the evening. Owners Jennifer and John Hadden planted the farm's first 2,600 blueberry bushes in 2016, and what began as a working blueberry farm has grown into one of Georgia's most sought-after wedding destinations, where manicured lawns, sprawling gardens, and rows of ripening blueberries create a naturally romantic backdrop for every celebration. Couples can host up to 200 guests indoors or 300 guests outdoors across a collection of distinct spaces, each with its own character. The Estate Room, our largest indoor venue at 5,800 square feet, features an antiqued red brick exterior, an open floor plan, and custom chandeliers over its dance floor (no rental required), plus a built-in stage ready for your band or DJ. Just outside, the open-air Courtyard brings a romantic, Italian garden feel to cocktail hour and rehearsal dinners, while the Ceremony Lawn offers open skies and sweeping garden views for a picture-perfect "I do." When you want cover from Georgia's sun, or a rain plan, the Pavilion overlooks the blueberry fields and keeps the celebration going without missing a beat. For couples dreaming of a true garden wedding immersed in nature, the Blueberry Field and Lawn is unmatched. Exchange vows among manicured, vineyard-like rows of blueberry bushes, then move guests into the open lawn beyond for a tented celebration for up to 300. Getting ready is its own experience here. The two-story Bridal Cottage offers hair and makeup stations and plenty of room to relax with your closest people, while the Groom's Lounge pairs an upstairs dressing room and lounge with The Pub below for a pre-ceremony toast. For more intimate gatherings, like rehearsal dinners, bridal luncheons, or showers, the newly renovated Oak Room offers understated, elevated charm. Hadden Estate also welcomes destination wedding couples with The Lodge, onsite accommodations for up to 22 guests, so your wedding can become a full weekend affair with family and friends close by from welcome drinks through Sunday brunch. Your wedding rental includes full access to the estate's grounds (Lodge excluded). Our team can connect you with a trusted list of local vendors, and the venue provides white padded folding chairs for the ceremony, natural wood crossback chairs for the reception, golf carts for getting around the property, and four 4'x8' natural farm tables for a stunning estate table.
