Tamara is very professional, but also very approachable. She makes planning a wedding very easy and stress free. Communication is great with her and the packages offered are easy to cater to your specific needs and wants to create a unique and special day. Having an ala carte offering for our wedding really helped us hone in on what we did and did not want for our wedding, and the fact that things like hair/makeup, photography etc is contacted through her made planning easy.
Haiku Gardens itself is gorgeous and remote enough that you feel like you’re in your own bubble. The food is always amazing (get the prime rib), and it’s a great venue for a midday wedding with close friends and family.
It was absolutely beautiful I am so happy I choose this place. They had everything covered no need to stress with this highly competent staff. We saved for this occasion and was well worth the wait.
We got married in June 2024, and it was an absolutely magical day! Our friends and family are still raving about how beautiful everything was and how amazing the food tasted. Tamara and her team went above and beyond to make sure every detail was perfect. I can't thank them enough for making our day more magical (and stress-free) than we ever imagined! Haiku Gardens truly has weddings and receptions down to a science. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a stunning "one-stop-shop" wedding venue on Oahu!
Any questions?
Morgan is very helpful and accommodating,Everyone loves our wedding destination.I will definitely go back there for dinner.Thank you for giving us a beautiful wedding..
Our wedding went from 10am-2:30pm and it was perfect and exceeded expectations! The venue is simple & laid back, which is exactly what we wanted. Our guests loved the garden, the lay out, & especially the delicious prime rib. It also comfortably fit 106 people. We hired one outside vendor and the rest through the venue, and they were amazing! So happy we found Haiku Gardens, we are very thankful for Kat & Morgan! They constantly checked on us to make sure we were happy and asked if we needed anything. We highly recommend :)
Haiku Gardens and Haleiwa Joe's one stop shop. Our wedding ceremony and reception done all in 1 day. Planner, coordinators, and staffs were exceptionally attentive to our needs and wants. We even got a surprised guest (our dog) that was planned without us knowing. Venue is also very reasonable in price!
Our wedding day at Haiku Gardens was truly an unforgettable experience, thanks to the exceptional services and beautiful venue. If you're looking for a wedding venue on Oahu that combines natural beauty with amazing service, Haiku Gardens is the perfect choice! Special thanks to Tamara and her entire team for making our dream wedding a reality. We couldn't have asked for a better day!
Great venue with amazing food. The views are spectacular and you really feel
The magic on your special day!
We tied the knot at Haiku and it was the best venue decision we could have made. Tamara and the rest of the team truly made it the best day of our lives. We didn’t have to worry about a thing, it was so perfect and fun. Tamara was there for us every step of the way considering we had this planned over a year in advance and lived in separate time zones, she’s truly an expert at what she does! And all of the venders hired through the venue were exceptional from the band, florals, photographer, bar tender, food staff, photobooth, and especially the cake. We’ve been married almost 2 months and our guests still text me and rave about how much they loved our cake. You can not go wrong with booking with Haiku, they will absolutely take the best care of you!
Tamara and team made wedding planning from afar a breeze and the actual wedding day magical! The grounds are so beautiful and we got so many compliments from our guests on how spectacular the views were. All our vendors were top notch thanks to Haiku Gardens!
The whole wedding was amazing! As someone who isn’t very hands on and wanted a lot of hand holding this was perfect. Tamara is a rockstar and she was so helpful. The food was amazing. We had a blast!
We had a beautiful experience getting married at Haiku Gardens. Everything went smoothly, food at Hale'iwa Joes was excellent and service was great.
Our ceremony was held at Haiku Gardens with our reception held at the restaurant upstairs at Haleiwa Joes. It was a 2023 summer wedding held in the daytime from 10am to 2:30pm.
We’d decided on Haiku Gardens because my partner and I are simple people who wanted the whole package and that’s exactly what we got. The wedding planner, Tamara kept things simple for us and we mainly communicated via email.
What was nice about holding our wedding there is that we were able to customize our package and paying for what we mostly cared about via ala carte. I am for one a person who only likes to pay for whats necessary. Another perk was that they were cool with us using our own vendors. We did our own cake, flowers, and decoration and paid for their photographers and musicians. Tamara was so kind to lend us their cake cutting kit, and extra vases when we didn’t have enough .
At the end of the day, our guest were at awes with the beauty of the Koolau and the pond. The natural beauty of the place spoke for it self and we paid little for decoration. My family was so impressed that my older cousin wants to also book Haiku Gardens for their summer 2024 wedding.
We got married at Haiku Gardens a few months back and it was perfect in every way.
Tamara helped us plan all the details from the mainland and she and her team were attentive and took care of everything on the wedding day. Planning our wedding at Haiku Gardens was not only easy, it was also incredibly affordable for what we got.
(We knew we wanted to have a destination wedding so we'd be able to spend several days with friends and family and were shocked, in the best way possible, when we discovered we could afford Haiku Gardens/Haleiwa Joe's.)
Mahalo for everything Tamara, Cat and Colin 🙏
The staff, especially Tamara, were so helpful in making our dream wedding come true. Everything went so smoothly and all of our attendees has a great and said the food was super 'ono 🥰
Haiku Gardens and Haleiwa Joes are a top notch venue on the windward side of Oahu to host any and all private events. The manager, Tamara, was a gracious and communicative host and organized everything beautifully for a private wedding brunch at Haleiwa Joes. The catering menu was tiered and reasonably priced and the food was a hit amongst locals and out of town guests. The drinks were as good as they always were and the venue is just stunning year round, rain or shine. We cannot recommend this place for any and all of your wedding needs. Mahalo Tamara and the staff at Haiku Gardens and Haleiwa Joe’s for making this an unforgettable event!
We had our wedding at Haiku gardens a few weeks ago and I could not be happier we chose it as our venue. It was absolutely beautiful and my family and friends had a blast. Tamara was great to work with and made the planning process easy and had great suggestions for vendors. The two coordinators who helped us the day of were also great (one of them saved me when we realized my fake eyelash was coming off right before I was going to go out to the reception to greet my guests- she actually ran out and bought eyelash glue!) Our guests loved the food and drinks. We’re so happy we went with Haiku gardens, we had the perfect wedding day.
If you’re looking for an easy, stress-free, affordable wedding- look no more!
Tamara was great to work with! She was available to answer all questions and helped us book some of our vendors for our special day.
We love the food here! Kaneohe is special to me and my husband since we both partially grew up here with the Koolau mountains. Good never disappoints! There are many options. We were very happy with the buffet choices we made.
It was so fun to be able to personalize small details at our reception to include his and her drinks, our cake, our program, and photobooth!
The gardens made beautiful photos and allowed guests to mingle/ soak in all the beauty!
This place matched (and even exceeded) my expectations. My husband and I planned this wedding from North Carolina, so we really didn't get an opportunity to tour the venue at any point before the wedding rehearsal. And I was a bit all over the place with my wedding planning via email, so I wasn't sure how it would all come together in the end.
But oh my gosh, I was blown away at how beautiful and perfect it all was. The wedding day was completely seamless; everything was on schedule and flawlessly executed. The decorations were absolutely beautiful, and I was stunned at how they perfectly nailed the type of bouquet and centerpiece I wanted (I asked for king protea as the centerpiece flower for the bouquet, and I was so shocked that, not only did they have it, but the flowers looked exactly like the example photo I had sent to Tamara a few weeks prior)! The food and drinks were also amazing and delicious, and the live band was excellent. Everyone was so helpful and professional. And all of our guests raved about how it was the best wedding they had ever attended.
It's a perfect venue for anyone wanting a lush, secluded tropical garden wedding with a gorgeous mountain-peaked skyline. Tamara and her team did a wonderful job! If they can pull off an excellent wedding and reception for someone planning it from 5,000 miles away, they can do anything! Next time we're in Kaneohe, we'll swing by Haleiwa Joe's and reminisce about our wonderful wedding day experience. Mahalo, Tamara!
Beautiful place and stunning views. Thank you for accommodating our wedding. Staff was very nice and helpful in spite of unprecedented time (survived a pandemic wedding). Food was delicious, wish I had more time to enjoy it, of course with the visits of everyone and taking pictures of you it was hard to, but from what I did have it was delicious. If I could do it again I would have my wedding there again.
Tamara is the BEST! There’s a reason why this venue continues to make the wedding lists every year. The venue is absolutely gorgeous and Tamara asks about every single detail you could think about. Her team also helped us with day of coordination which was a huge help to us. She pays super close attention to detail and helped customize our dream wedding. The venue is so beautiful and it was so special to have it in Kaneohe.
Despite all the obstacles of planning a destination wedding and postponing it a year due to Covid, our wedding went off without a hitch, and we owe so much of that to Tamara. She is thoughtful and professional, and so thorough in planning that we felt as calm as possible on our wedding day, which really helped us have a wonderful time.
Tamara is a true GEM! We are so grateful for all her support in planning our wedding over the course of two years (because of COVID), including postponing and then scaling down our wedding. Our day was perfect because of her. Mahalo, Tamara! <3
Planning a wedding at the Haiku Gardens was the best decision we could have made. Tamara, Our wedding planner, was a delight to work with. She made the whole “destination wedding” be a stress free process. The pictures of the garden just do not do it justice. This is what we imagine a Hawaii wedding would be!
Me and my husband got married at Haiku Gardens. It was one of the best days of our lives. Tamara took care of everything for us. We didn’t have to worry about anything. All we had to do was show up. Although we got married during a pandemic, the day turned out so good. We were able to take pictures in front of some of the most beautiful scenery there is. We were very satisfied with the outcome.
Tamara has made wedding planning 3,000 miles away with zero time so unbelievably easy! My fiance and I looked at so many other locations but fell in love with this venue. We were a little worried that the planning involved would be too much to handle with our busy schedules but it has been such an amazing experience. Tamara has dealt with all of our questions and responds to our emails so fast, even with the time difference!
Tamara and the entire crew at Haiku Gardens were an absolute dream to work with. My fiancé and I were faced with the challenge of planning our intimate wedding during COVID-19 and Tamara made sure we were taken care of by communicating every step of the way. So a thank you thank you thank you a million times over for making our special day so memorable.
5 stars! I was so lucky to pick Haiku Gardens as our wedding site. Words could not express how happy I was and not stressed out with the planning of our wedding. Our wedding day was also gorgeous. I planned our wedding from out of state and all through email. Tamara answered every single email and addressed all of my concerns. She was absolutely fantastic to work with and super professional. The venue itself is absolutely gorgeous! The staff was amazing! The food was delicious! The day went so smooth that I wish it never ended. I would highly recommend choosing Haiku Gardens as your wedding site!
Planning a wedding in the middle of a pandemic is next to impossible. With all the guidelines that are being imposed to curb the infection, it will make you think twice of pursuing your dream wedding. Plus, on the day before our wedding, a hurricane threat happened making our families and friends question: is the wedding still happening? Fortunately, Tamara and her team from Haiku Garden Weddings made it possible. By planning out everything in advance and continued communication on any changes or additional information required, all choices had been taken care of 2 weeks prior. This allowed for any new changes due to other events to get our full attention and we were in continuous communication leading up to the day with backup plans ready. Everything went perfectly on the day of and all vendors showed up on time providing their services in a professional manner while adhering to CDC guidelines and quietly left when no longer required. The reception at Haleiwa Joe’s had delicious appetizers prepared for all guests while photos were happening. The only downside was the appetizers were too good that most of us did not leave room for the entrees which were just as great. We took all our allotted time at the reception but were not under any pressure to clear out which was very much appreciated. Giving us time to enjoy married life Tamara followed up on information of photos and video two days afterwards with a timeline that was accurate. Overall, we could not imagine having our wedding anywhere else and making it possible with the extreme circumstances is a miracle that Haiku Garden Weddings made a reality.
My husband and I had our wedding at Haiku Gardens back in August. We had taken a look at several locations around the island and we both automatically knew we wanted to have our wedding there! We LOVED the lush green garden, it was exactly what we were looking for. I'm originally from Hawaii, so half of our guests would be flying in from the mainland. Keeping our guests in mind - we wanted to give them a beautiful experience outside of Waikiki, where most of them who were flying in would be staying.
During the wedding planning process, we kept in contact with Tamara through email during the months preceding our date. We were wondering difficult it would be planning a wedding from California, but Tamara made it so seamless and easy! It was easy to reach her and she was very responsive. Every email was so detail oriented which eased off a lot of stress. We already had found a few vendors on our end and she helped us find the rest.
Seeing everything come together during the big day was absolutely breathtaking! Since Haiku Gardens is on the windward side of the island, it does have a tendency to rain there more often. We did have a few sprinkles during the ceremony but it added to the magic of it (and hey, they say it's good luck). All of our guests loved the garden, it felt like our own private oasis. Everything ran so smoothly, huge thanks to Tamara and team!!
Exceptional Experience at Haiku Gardens
You don't have to look any further for a wedding venue, pick up the phone and call Tamara to save your date.
The overwhelming feedback from our friends and family was how beautifully smooth our wedding day looked and felt. This is largely attributed to Tamara's talent, organizational skills, transparency, and of course the venue. Not to deter from how much work it takes to plan a wedding, Tamara and Haiku helped to make it look effortless. The end result was our dream wedding.
The venue itself is breathtaking! Set back in Kaneohe, you would never know this oasis existed and that is part of the charm. As you embark down the paved path from the parking lot to the gardens, you pass the restaurant with a thatched roof, which reminds you of an earlier era in Hawaii. Finally, you've arrived at the oasis, the Haiku Gardens. Should you opt for a more traditional setting, a chapel can also be found in the gardens
In addition to a ceremony site, Haiku Gardens offers use of their restaurant, Haleiwa Joe's (the thatched roof restaurant you walked past on your way down to the gardens) for your reception. This is where the magic of Tamara and her team continued to make our dream wedding come true. With a plethora of options for pupu's, our guests devoured the Tempura Crab Rolls, Bruschetta, and Fruit which paired nicely with the bar.
And the bar and bar staff did not disappoint! Nearly every guest made it a point to let us know how impressed they were with the service they received from the staff. Mahalo to the staff. Insider tip, the Li Hing Margarita was a show stopper! Thank you for keeping the drinks flowing!
Of course the buffet was on par with everything else at Haiku/Haleiwa Joe's. The coconut mac nut chicken, grilled fresh fish, and kalua pig were so delicious. You can't go wrong with any of the menu options. Looking around, it seemed like all of our guests loved the food.
With countless photo booth companies to choose from, it can be hard to pick one to go with. However, our photo booth from Party Pix Hawaii was absolutely beautiful, the backdrop was perfect, the props were so funny, and best of all the custom layout helped photos look awesome! The candy buffet from Victoria's Sweets was a massive success. She had so many options with the best containers and scoops to make the candy buffet look awesome. She did a great job setting up the table, it was just what we wanted.
The photographer Eric from L'amour was incredible! Eric made the day great with his personality and energy. The pictures turned out beautifully, we are so happy with the results. I cannot recommend Eric enough! The florals from Passion Roots was everything and more. Words cannot express how beautiful and breathtaking the floral arrangements were. From the ceremony alter and isle pieces to the reception center pieces and arrangements around the venue were truly breath taking. If we already weren't in a garden, the flowers from Passion Roots made it feel like we were submerged in a tropical garden. Not to mention the cascade floral arrangement were to die for. Thank you!
Ultimately, we were beyond thrilled with our wedding at Haiku Gardens. A massive Mahalo to Tamara and all the hands that helped prepare this day for us. I could not recommend Haiku Gardens and Tamara more. Truly an exceptional wedding experience.
This review is way overdue along with our thank you cards to our family and friends.
After contacting several hotels and venues, James and I decided to get married at Haiku Gardens on 8/17/19. Little did we know, it was also the day of the sold out Cowboys/Rams football game lol.
Nonetheless, we are so glad we choose this beautiful and intimate garden and a one-venue location for both the ceremony and reception. They have an affordable wedding package with great vendors (Officiant Kimo Taylor, We Heart Cake Company, Picket Fence Florist and Eric from Lamour Hawaii). The food at Haleiwa Joe’s was delicious which we really couldn’t enjoy but know our guests did! Lastly, Tamara our awesome wedding coordinator is amazing! She made our 4 month wedding planning less stressful and took care of pretty much everything. She responded to my unending emails in a timely manner and put all my worries at ease. I just don’t know how she does this for so many couples!
With that said, we HIGHLY recommend Haiku Gardens and Haleiwa Joe’s as their services and staff are exceptional! We are truly blessed and thankful for them making our wedding day the best day ever and so memorable for our close family and friends! We can’t wait to come back and really enjoy that prime rib!

It was the best wedding ever! And I’m not saying that just because it’s my wedding (haha!) but because everything turned out better than expected. Tamara, our coordinator, was very helpful before and during the wedding. She was able to execute what I envisioned and much more. On the day of the wedding, she constantly assured me that all will be well (and it was). The food at Haleiwa Joe’s was exceptional! Didn’t get to eat much but my guests said they enjoyed it. If you’re looking for a garden wedding, this is your place! The greenery will make your photos look awesome!
My husband and I got married at Haiku Gardens in October 2018. It was an absolutely BEAUTIFUL day surrounded by the breathtaking nature and creation of the garden. Sitting in the base of the Ko’olau mountains with lush, green trees and vibrant flowers, a gazebo and pond with turtles made it special for our guests too! We thoroughly enjoyed being in the environment. Working with Tamara was so easy. She has a lot of experience as a wedding coordinator and made planning my wedding super smooth and stress free. She is a very pleasant person to talk to, open to hear your thoughts and ideas, but will also help guide you if you’re not sure what to do next. I highly recommend Haiku Gardens for your future wedding!
Haiku Gardens was amazing. Tamara was so reaponsive in every email and phone calls. As much I was being a very indecisive bride, she was patient and answered all my questions. Haiku is the most peaceful, beautiful garden I have ever seen. The ceremony was what I imagined it to be. Will recommend Haiku to any of my friend that dexide to marry in Hawaii.
Gorgeous venue. Tamara was very professional and responsive to my inquiries and requests.
Haiku Gardens is the perfect blend of beautiful, lush garden scenery with a conveniently located restaurant venue with delicious food (they're famous for their prime rib), amazing service, and wonderful bar staff - the Long Islands were a hit!! It was exactly what we wanted - intimate ceremony and reception with family, and so many gorgeous photo sites in one location! Tamara is a wedding planner extraordinaire, every little detail is thought of. She came in clutch with last minute floral orders and her team has everything setup beforehand. It was easily the most stress-free, enjoyable moment of my life. We will always be grateful to the Haiku Gardens Weddings team.

Wedding Ceremony/Reception: 10/4/18
We chose to do both our ceremony and reception at Haiku Gardens. There is absolutely nothing that we regret about our day. It's months later and we're still often told how beautiful, seamless, and fun our wedding was. We simply can't take all the credit. Tamara, her amazing vendors, and Haleiwa Joe's staff truly made our day unforgettable. As a coordinator, Tamara was always so prompt with her email replies (we planned from CO) and never pressured me to make a decision (even though we were coming down to just weeks before the wedding). Her responses were thorough and kind, and always so very patient. We felt extremely taken care of the whole day, our guests included.
The ceremony site in the gardens will always hold such a special place in my heart. It's breathtaking and the fact that we got married in that lush little heaven will forever stay in my heart.
The food during our reception was just as great as the service and staff. Sometimes with buffet style you find the food to be over seasoned, under seasoned, or over cooked. This definitely was not the case with Haleiwa Joe's. I'm not sure if they were allowed to, but many of our guests happily went home with heaping take away boxes of leftovers :) The buffet was well tended to the duration of our reception.
I don't know how the staff kept up with the constant drink orders, but they never skipped a beat! Shot after shot, they poured with a happy laugh.
Like I mentioned above, we've been back at home in CO for a few months now and our friends still talk about how much fun our wedding was. So much of that is because of all of the staff, vendor teams, and Tamara. We're truly so, so grateful for everything you all did for us.
Book with Haiku Gardens/Haleiwa Joe's. You wont regret it.
This is hands down the most beautiful venue I have ever seen!!! I booked Haiku Gardens completely "sight unseen" (based on The Knot reviews and my now husband's word) and it far exceeded my expectations. My first view of the beautiful gardens was the day before our wedding during our rehearsal and I was blown away! Everything went smoothly on our actual wedding day despite having to make a last minute change in ceremony location due to the torrential downpour - at least they say rain is lucky! Tamara and her staff were a dream to work with, the vendors were awesome and the food was delicious!!! Do yourself and your guests a favor and order the coconut shrimp pupus and prime rib! We will definitely be making annual trips back to Hawaii to visit the gardens and have dinner at Haleiwa Joe's.
My husband and I got married at Haiku Gardens in October. The site is beautiful and it was exactly how we pictured our day wedding to be. The food was delicious of course. What we really appreciated most was the help from Tamara and the staff there. Tamara helped organize many of the awesome vendors that we had at our wedding and made sure everything was coordinated to make the entire day run as smoothly as possible for all to enjoy. Tamara was there throughout the entire process to make sure nothing was left out. Being a coordinator myself, I appreciated all of the details she made sure to check off throughout the time of my reservation until after the reception was over. I would definitely recommend this venue to all of my family and friends!
Anybody can have their wedding in the concrete jungle. We we're thinking of doing that too until we discovered Haiku gardens.
Once we saw the beautiful grounds and chapel we we're swayed but what really got us to commit was Tamera (the wedding and venue coordinator) she made everything so much smoother with her experience and positive demeanor.
The cost of the ceremony was reasonable as well as the cost to close down the restaraunt to use as a venue. The food and service was good and everything went well...the only thing is they only do lunch weddings..
We had the most PERFECT wedding at Haiku Gardens! The process was very smooth from choosing the venue, to choosing the food, flowers, decor, music, officiant, photographer, and so much more!
Tamara, the wedding planner/coordinator was amazing to work with and kept me updated every step of the way. She is seriously the best!! We planned the wedding from Colorado, and I never felt stressed or worried that we would not have the wedding we were envisioning. She worked easily with our budget and gave us important suggestions that we would not have considered otherwise. I could not have imagined going through the wedding day without Tamara keeping everything on track and making sure everything went smoothly. There was hurricane predicted on our wedding day, but luckily we had a brief "good luck" rain shower, and there was no hurricane in sight! If there was, they had a covered chapel available as well.
The food and atmosphere of Haiku Gardens and Haleiwa Joe's were amazing, and guests have not stopped commenting how beautiful it was! They also help to set up the tables, chairs, and decorations so you don't have to worry about a thing! Tamara even documented our wedding set-up from start to finish on Instragram, which was also really cool, as we got to see all the behind the scenes hard work they put in to make sure every wedding is perfect. We loved every aspect of our wedding, and could not have been happier. I would HIGHLY recommend Haiku Gardens and Tamara for your wedding, you will not regret it! Thank you for making our dream wedding come true!! :)
We enjoyed working with Tamara and her staff! She helped us plan and execute our wedding within a month! The location was beautiful and it was so convenient to have brunch at the restaurant!
Haiku Gardens ....
Thank you for everything, thank you for making our day special. Tamara and her staff are very personable and professional. The food was amazing, the views are to die for.
Cheryl & Rj Santos 2018
My husband and I got married at Haiku Gardens and had our reception at their restaurant (on site) Haleiwa Joes. We got such positive feedback from our family and friends who attended. They loved the scenery and the cozy, relax feel they got from the reception. The food was also a highlight! Prime Rib is a must!
Tamara is the best! She is very efficient with responding to emails! I had a lot of questions that she answered with proficiency! She's very patient, and hospitable! I felt very comfortable when first meeting her! Tamara is open to meeting with you at the Garden to go over an questions you may have or if you want to view the venue. She's with you every step of the way and has a list of vendors that they work with. I can't thank her enough for all her help! She is great wedding coordinator!
Our wedding at Haiku Gardens was a once in a life time opportunity and I am so glad that I got to have the wedding of my dreams at this location. Tamara, the on site coordinator, was very patient and helpful throughout the process of planning my wedding. The location was beautiful and the view was MAGICAL! I grew up on the Island of Kauai, and I wanted my wedding to be surrounded by lush green trees and mountains, this place definitely had me reminiscing about Kauai! Haiku Gardens is #1 on my list of best locations for weddings. The venue was beautiful and the chapel was simple and elegant. My guests were treated with great hospitality by the staff there, and my husband and I were treated like 'Ohana.
My wife and I got married at Haiku Gardens on April 2nd and had an incredible experience. Despite the heavy downfall of rain (which obviously was not their fault and expected in Hawaii), Tamara and her crew did a fantastic job making sure our guests were sheltered from the rain before heading down to the chapel... and most importantly, the bride was protected and delivered unscathed from the rain! Tamara was fantastic to work with, especially with us coming from California. Her communications with us were timely and helpful. He provided references and direction regarding vendors and structure for the day. When it came to our reception lunch, the food at Haleiwa Joe's was great! Our guests were impressed with how good the food turned out because buffets you can easily get over cooked and under or over flavored food. Because of the beautiful location, the great food, and fantastic service and support for planning a destination wedding, I would highly recommend Haiku Gardens for anyone's wedding!
My Husband and I got married April 2nd. We decided in February to get married in Hawaii instead of traveling home to the mainland and we were lucky to find such a wonderful place on short timeline. Tamara is a lovely person and was very quick to getting back to us and took care of flowers, cake, photographer and Haleiwa Joe's has wonderful food, when my husband found out they would be serving food he was very excited. He has eaten there before and loves their prime rib. The venue is so beautiful with a small lake, an open air chapel so you don't have to worry about it raining on you. The venue also has a tropical garden that is very well maintained. When a wedding is not going on it is open to the public but will be closed off for your ceremony so it is very private. I highly recommend this venue.
Words can not describe how much we loved having our small intimate wedding at Haiku Gardens. Despite the possibility of rain that day, everything ran smoothly and perfect. From the time of booking and finalizing to the day of, Tamara took care of everything. She is so good with communicating with you and making sure you have the wedding of your dreams! I couldn’t ask for anything more than what we had. Everyone loves the scenery and we can’t wait to see the pictures! Thank you Haiku Gardens and Tamara for making our big day memorable and special. We truly recommend having weddings here!
Overall (6/5)
I have nothing but excellent things to say about getting married at Haiku Gardens. If that’s all you need to hear, then book with Tamara immediately. You won’t regret it. Also, ours was a gay wedding with absolutely NO problems, so bring it here LGBTQ community!
Venue (5/5)
Haiku Gardens blows the competition out of the water. I’m in Boston now but grew up 10 min away from the venue and still I was floored by its beauty. The pictures are stellar but even they don’t do the venue justice. Our wedding was in February so it ended up being cool (and luckily no real showers) but if you’re going to be outside in the summer prepare for warmth.
Also, the view from the restaurant will knock your guests socks off (and makes for a KILLER backdrop for photos)
Planning (6/5)
Tamara was hands-down the reason we picked this place and is the reason we’d come back (maybe renewing our vows?) She has a smooth process in place with spreadsheets that help catch what you might miss in planning. Her deep experience in planning weddings means she can provide valuable suggestions throughout (and be creative in solutions day-of.)
Again, we were in Boston planning with a 6 hour time difference and she was prompt in her responses and persistent if we didn’t answer something she needed. What she brings to the sweetheart table cannot be overstated.
Execution (5/5)
Go for the spiral setup so you can walk down the aisle and see each person’s face. It was a breathtaking moment that I will cherish forever. If you have to set up anything beforehand, you and your family can arrive early to place flowers/lei/settings and she has a team to help. Tamara organized the other vendors for us (Music for the ceremony, Music for reception, Photo booth and food/drink.)
Photography was also clutch - Eric made us laugh and got some excellent pics throughout. Bottomline is that her list of preferred vendors are easy to work with, reasonably priced and totally worth it.
Food/Drink (5/5)
Delicious. She provides a long menu from Haleiwa Joe’s (the restaurant connected to Haiku Gardens) and you and your partner go through and pick out what you want. I didn’t hear any complaints. My preference: go for the coconut shrimp!
I was married at Ha'ikū Gardens in May of 2017. I worked with Tamara for months in order to create our perfect day! She was a wonderful coordinator to work with and was so helpful no matter what little changes I thought of making. What attracted us most to this location was the private garden with beautiful views as well as easy access to parking and a restaurant, so our guests wouldn't have to travel from place to place. Besides the obvious beauty of the property, all of the staff members of the restaurant also contributed to the ease of our wedding day. My husband and I, as all of our guests, were treated with such hospitality and good spirits and I got many compliments after the wedding about the amazing food, so thank you Chefs! Going into my own wedding process was much more confusing than looking at it from an outside perspective, so Tamara was a great help to me. This is such a special place to have in our memories and even more special because it's still there to visit and have brunch as a family. Mahalo nui loa Tamara & co.!
My husband and I just got married at Haiku Gardens in December. The location is beautiful, the food is amazing, and to top it off we had the best service! Tamara was our wedding coordinate for Haiku Gardens, and she was the reason it was a success. She respond to all of my emails and answered all of my questions kindly and promptly. I was lucky enough to have rain on my wedding day, despite the weather report saying it was supposed to be sunny. Tamara helped calm my nerves, and she and her team were so flexible and made everything work out perfectly! I couldn't have asked for a better wedding! If anyone is looking for a wedding venue, Haiku Gardens and Haleiwa Joe's is where you need to go! Thank you so much Tamara and all the Haleiwa Joe's and Haiku Gardens staff for all you did for us!
My husband and I are were utterly BLESSED to have married at Haiku Gardens in December 2017! The gardens are lush with green, crisp air, the Ko'olau mountain was a natural backdrop, and a level-below-heaven. My walk down the aisle from the gazebo to the stone stairs really made the waterworks lol.
Our guests really enjoyed the gardens as well as the reception food. Hale'iwa Joe's was so delicious and you are guaranteed for a kanack attack (aka food coma). Some hadn't visited here for 10+ years or it was there very first time and they loved it :) I'd like to give a very big mahalo to our wedding coordinator, Tamara (highly recommend)! She's incredibly organized, patient, and kept step with us every step of the way as we planned within less than 6 months. No other place i'd recommend to marry! God bless!
When attending weddings, you get to see the beautiful bride and the gorgeous groom surrounded by stunning views, lovely music, and delicious food. What people don’t see is how it all comes together and stays together as the bride and groom are too preoccupied to attend to every little thing. To that, I would like to tip a hat to the amazing team at Haiku Gardens.
A little background: My husband and I had just been stationed at Pearl Harbor in September 2016 and were anxious to plan our wedding for 2017. When we arrived, we had tried Haleiwa Joe’s on a whim (not knowing it was Haiku Gardens at the time) and fell in love with the food and the breathtaking views. It became the first restaurant we loved in Hawaii. Little did we know that exactly a year from that day we would be having our unforgettable wedding there.
We knew we wanted a unique location that was not a hotel, had inclusive package options, and was reasonably affordable. We scoured the internet and reviews of dozens of locations and many of the wedding sites suggested Haiku Gardens. We looked up the website and the moment we found out it was the same as our favorite restaurant, we believed it was fate! We would’ve been remised, though, if we didn’t at least have a walk through and a sit down with the planner, so we utilized The Knot and their venue concierge. Their team got us in contact with Tamara, who got back to us immediately. At the walk through, Tamara was punctual and thorough going over the different locations where the vows could take place, a general idea of how the day of would go, and even what the indoor option looked like. After the walk through, we went into the office and talked about the options. She broke down the basic prices that were mandatory and then all the different packages that we could add on. I knew that I was not going to have time to go through vendors by myself, so selecting one of the packages where Tamara would be the one who did all the leg work was such a blessing.
Throughout the process of getting everything ready for the wedding, Tamara always kept us informed with her progress and the financial portion of each decision we made. She was unbelievably patient as I would take days (sometimes weeks!) to get back to her and never once called me out on taking too long. She was even kind enough to send several reminders that our final deposit was due when I was almost a week late with it. She has such an eye for detail and gives everything her utmost attention. When I didn’t know what I wanted, she would present ideas or ask questions until we got to the best option. The invoice she gave us wasn’t just to keep us informed of our financial responsibilities, but also a tracker for us to see what was done and what else needed to be accomplished. It included almost everything that goes into a wedding, so even if we had elected to select a vendor ourselves, it stayed on the list so we were reminded that we needed to take care of it.
On the day of the wedding we were both pretty frazzled since it was pouring in the morning, but Tamara took it in stride and jumped right into setting up the indoor backup. We got lucky though and the sky cleared to a beautifully perfect day and she made sure that the garden was back on track to be the location we said our vows. Our perfect day would never had been as unforgettable as it was without the team at Haiku Gardens and most of all Tamara! I just can’t compliment her enough! Thank you for our magical day!
We planned our wedding for a little over 12 months...recently married at Haiku Gardens on 12/30/17. Tamara was always so quick to help me with all items needed to be arranged from the ceremony to the reception (Haleiwa Joe's). She met with me early and always calmed me down if I got a little excited. She was always helpful on ideas, recommendations and working with my budget. Let me tell you specifically about our ceremony... Tamara helped me plan the decor for the chapel and the layout, she handled all the final arrangements of the decorations in the chapel and it was BEAUTIFUL. She worked with my budget and helped me create something so amazing with whatever little I had. She gave me more than I expected so I am so grateful to write this review for her. I have had my share of bad parties and bad party planning... she calmed my nerves and handled everything for me and all she wanted was to make me happy on my special day. I'm tearing writing this because I never thought this day would had been so amazingly coordinated and executed... I have Tamara to thank for this. The gardens and chapel were beautiful but the wedding coordinator to me was the REAL star. I love you for all you've done for us Tamara. You made my wedding day so amazing I could never thank you enough.
Thank you for making my experience at Haiku Gardens unforgettable. Tamara was so easy to communicate with and was extremely accommodating. She was truly a pleasure to work with. I am so lucky I was able to find such a breathtaking venue!
Haiku Gardens is absolutely gorgeous! We had our wedding in the chapel and it was beautiful. The food and cake at our reception was so good that even long after our wedding, our friends and family are still raving about it. The prime rib is a must! The planning process was made so much easier by the wedding coordinator, Tamara. She is very organized and very prompt with responses to emails. Any questions I had were answered promptly! She was very easy to work with and it made the entire planning process so much more pleasant. We recommend HG to anyone considering it for a venue.
I promised myself that I would not be a Bridezilla. And I'd like to think that I succeeded. But what I couldn't account for is how many small details go into wedding planning. Insert Tamara at Haiku Gardens. From Day 1 she answered our questions, helped us plan, and made sure everything ran perfectly. It was such a fun event and everything I wanted. I cannot recommend this place enough!
Our wedding at Haiku Gardens was everything we expected and more! Our coordinator, Tamara, was the absolute best. She always responded quickly and with all sorts of helpful information. I don’t know what I would’ve done without her. All other venues I contacted either took days to reply back or didn’t even reply at all. It’s so rare you see someone like Tamara that is so responsive and also willing to help in any way possible. If anything I’d recommend the venue alone just for her!
But of course it wasn’t just her, the venue itself is beautiful and well maintained. Of course it was very hot that day but you can’t control the weather no matter where you are and Hawaii is no different. Everything was set up perfectly in the garden though. I can’t wait to get my pictures from there.
For the reception we had the most wonderful DJ (DJ Telly) that really got the crowd going and also did some games and other things on his own to get people up and dance. It’s a little pricey but worth every penny because he really made a lot of difference. The food at Haleiwa Joes was fantastic as usual. Make sure you spend a little extra for the prime rib. Their prime rib is famous and it’s the exact same if you order for your reception. Worth it for the extra you have to pay! The mixed drinks were also really great. My family from the mainland loved all the Hawaiian twists on classic drinks.
Overall I can’t recommend this venue enough. I think they really value their guests and make sure you have everything you need to have a fantastic and memorable wedding. Thank you again to everyone at Haiku Gardens for a wonderful wedding.
Our wedding at Haiku Gardens was absolutely perfect from the table decorations to the delicious food. I planned my wedding with Tamara from the mainland via email and she was wonderful to work with. She was very responsive and always had a positive, reassuring attitude that put my mind at ease. Everything about our ceremony and reception was perfect, but I would definitely like to highlight the food from Haleiwa Joe’s and the live music from Ellsworth Simeona and his partner Piko—both on guitar. The Haleiwa Joe’s food menu was perfect as we were able to choose a mix of local and mainland-style food for our diverse wedding guests. Haleiwa Joe’s even prepared meals specifically for our guests with dietary needs. Ellsworth and Piko were amazing entertainers and I would highly recommend this duo for live entertainment. The duo played covers of oldies and current pop hits and everything in between. Our guests had a great time dancing and singing along to their tunes. I would hands down recommend Haiku Gardens for a wedding venue or any special occasion. Our guests are still talking about how perfect of a day it was!
My husband and I recently had our wedding here. It went smoothly and Tamara and the rest of the staff were awesome!! From the beginning Tamara made it easy to plan and see my vision come to life. I am super OCD and I always felt like everything was done exactly like I wanted. Everyone loved the food!! We didn't have much time to eat so the staff was so thoughtful to pack us food to take home at the end of the day.
Honestly, I don’t know where to begin! If you’re looking for a wedding ceremony and reception venue, consider Haiku Gardens (HG)! My husband and I chose this venue for various reasons and we are so happy we went with HG. Located in the East Side of O’ahu, we were met with the picturesque Ko’olau Mountains and an easy commute for our 120 guests. We chose the Mau Loa “forever” package (more information can be found on their website). For the ceremony, we added on iced tea and water for our guests because we got married on a summer day in Hawaii. Speaking of drinks, how can I not bring up the ‘ono (delicious) food served?! HG provided various choices and we decided to do a fruit platter to start off the reception. For lunch, HG provides various choices again and we chose this for our reception lunch: Caesar salad, sautéed veggies, white rice, garlic mash, grilled fish, sweet and sour chicken, and prime rib. DEFINITELY get the prime rib for your wedding. Our guests have told us that the food was amazing! HG staff made us plates and also made to-go boxes when the reception was done.
HG has a list of wedding vendors they work with but they were also open to working with vendors that we chose on our own. This was a big help because we wanted our Church Pastor to perform the ceremony.
The coordination, planning, and execution was done by Tamara and we received day-of assistance by Taylor (I believe that’s her name). Tamara was so helpful even before we booked HG as our venue. She was professional, easy to work with, responded to emails within a reasonable amount of time, approachable, answered my questions genuinely and just my dream come true what I envisioned as a wedding specialist!
We are so blessed to have found Tamara and HG as our venue and highly recommend this special place for your wedding.
Haiku Gardens was the perfect place for our wedding. We had the perfect wedding coordinator who was ALWAYS there for every little question I had (lol😂) *& who helped us out so much! We wouldn't have had it any other way. We got married in the chapel and it was beautiful💒! The photographer Eric took amazing shots and gave us memorable pictures. The food was just on a different level💯 Our experience was like no other. I would MOST DEFINITELY recommend this venue to couples who are looking to make their wedding PERFECT!!! Mahalo again Haiku Gardens/Haleiwa Joe's for making our wedding day a day to remember for the rest of our lives!!❤\m/
I had my wedding at Haiku Gardens last June and it was perfect. We wanted a stress-free, simple wedding ceremony with an on-site reception area and excellent food. Haiku Gardens surpassed my expectations. The wedding coordinator, Tamara, was incredibly helpful. She showed us all of the vendor options and offered suggestions, so that our wedding was exactly what we envisioned. She was amazing throughout the planning process and magical during the wedding. A few weeks before the wedding, Tamara confirmed our plans and made sure that we didn't have/need any last minute adjustments. She kept us (me) calm the entire time.
We live on the mainland and have not visited the site prior to our wedding rehearsal day. When we got to Haiku Gardens, the venue was just like what we saw in pictures. It was breathtaking! Everyone had a memorable experience. The food and service was great too. I highly recommend having a wedding at Haiku Gardens. If I can give more than 5 stars, I would!
One suggestion we had was to provide transportation for our guests. Most of our guests stayed in Waikiki. Although it was easy to get a cab/Uber from Waikiki to Kaneohe, guests had to wait a while for the cab back.
Getting married at Haiku Garden was a deam come true! Tamara is a truly an amazing wedding planner. She is well organized, helpful, friendly, and fun. We can't recall a time were we felt nervous or stressed during the our wedding planning process. Everything about our day was so perfect. Thank you for everything!!
My husband and I got married at Haiku Gardens in April of this year. We live on the mainland and only met Tamara and visited the venue once before our wedding. Tamara was so personable from the moment we met and I cannot express how wonderful it was to work with her! While the idea of planning a destination wedding can be a little daunting since most decisions are made with sight unseen, our wedding couldn't have been more perfect! Tamara was very accommodating with our requests and made sure that every little detail that we had talked about was done. I can honestly say that because of Tamara, my husband and I experienced very little wedding planning stress because she was always on top of things. One thing that I really appreciated about Tamara was that she treated us like friends not clients, which is so important when you're planning your wedding.
We loved all of the vendors that Tamara recommended (L'Amour Photography + Video, Delish Makeup Artistry, Reverend Kimo, We Heart Cupcake). We worked with Eric and John from L'Amour Photography + Video and Heather from Delish Makeup Artistry and they were so much fun!! Reverend Kimo was super accommodating with our requests and We Heart Cupcake was so delicious! I cannot for the life of me remember who our vendor was for our flowers...but they were soo beautiful and people actually asked me if they were fake, haha :P
We didn't get to try any of the food prior to the wedding but we are still getting comments on how good the food was! (I am still dreaming of that prime rib!). All of our guests complimented on the beauty of the venue and how it felt like we were in Jurassic Park :)
Haiku Gardens was the perfect package for our wedding: a wonderful wedding planner, delicious food, and a beautiful venue. Thank you for making our wedding day a dream come true!
Highly recommend Haiku Gardens for a wedding reception! From start to finish, Tamara and the staff were responsive, accommodating, and professional. We got everything we wanted for the wedding reception for my son and his wife—whole pig, modified menu, tables arrangements that fit our numbers, and terrific service! Tamara had great recommendations and is very detail oriented—nothing was overlooked. So many guests later told me how much they enjoyed the party and several guests asked who to contact to hold their party there. The green Kaneohe backdrop was perfect for our visitors from the mainland and the locals loved going to someplace different.
My wife and I got married at Haleiwa Joe's at Haiku Gardens last December and we couldn't have chose a better location for the event. The staff was extremely helpful, accommodating, and patient during the entire wedding planning, ceremony and reception. The manicured garden with the dramatic Koolau backdrop is the ideal place to get hitched or just stop by for a drink. The food was amazing all all of our guests from the Mainland and South Korea couldn't stop talking about how ono it was. Everything was perfect.
We were recently married on this past New Year's Eve at Haiku Gardens. We chose to use the chapel for the ceremony and have a cocktail hour up in the lounge for guests while we enjoyed the garden to take more photos. Everything worked out wonderfully and just as Tamara and I had discussed prior to the big day. We only began planning the wedding just a short 2 months before and Tamara put my mind at ease by arranging all the details. The staff, officiant and musician were all amazing! Guests loved the drinks and pupus too! Thank you for making our day so beautiful!!

We had our wedding and reception at Haiku Gardens! Tamara, the wedding planner was awesome! Up till the wedding day Tamara was extremely helpful, patient, and very kind. She answered every email promptly, gave excellent advice, and was very flexible. My husband and I did not stress one bit and she made sure everything was in order. Everyone at our wedding loved the food and was very amazed what was served! The gardens were gorgeous! All I had to do on my wedding day, was smile and she handled everything else.
Deciding to have our wedding at Haiku Gardens was the best decision we made. The garden area is a perfect spot for an outdoor wedding. Tamara and her crew were such an awesome bunch and helped to make that special day memorable and fun!!! Tamara was so patient and supportive of all the decisions that had to be made and helpful with all the questions we had. My now husband got injured at work 2 weeks before we got married. They were very helpful and accommodating to his needs with his injury.
The food was plentiful and very ono!!!!!! The wait staff was awesome tending to our party's needs. I highly recommend this venue to any couple who plan on getting married, you won't be disappointed!!!
When we were first looking for wedding venues, we were looking for somewhere that looked amazing for pictures, had good food, and possibly near accommodations for our out of town guests. We first started off in Waikiki but realized that the hustle and bustle and guest rooms overlooking our wedding was not what we wanted. Then we looked at other places on the west side of the island with a beach setting but realized that we might have more stress with parking, weather, etc. Then we decided to look into Haiku Gardens (which we didn't even know where it was!) out of curiosity of researching. We met Tamara and she gave us a tour of the gardens, the restaurant, and gave us a portfolio of prices and listings. We decided to go with Haiku because the wedding coordinator, Tamara. She was extremely organized, honest, and had suggestions for our wedding that we hadn't even thought about. She never tried to nickel and dime us about anything. Everything that we were being charged was carefully laid out in a spreadsheet. Tamara was very open about us not having a DJ and instead letting us hook up our phone through Bluetooth to set up our own music. As a bride, I felt like I never had to stress about anything during the 'day of' and we knew exactly what was going on because of how organized the wedding was that Tamara helped us put together. The food was also very delicious and and while researching, we've heard a lot about Haleiwa Joe's Prime Rib and had to have it at our wedding and we were more than impressed not only by the prime rib but the whole wedding menu. You cannot go wrong with food and service here at all! Overall, Tamara really works with you and is very prompt in getting back to emails, never once did we ever feel out of the loop in our wedding plans. We wish we could re-live this day again as it was more than we could have imagined. We highly recommend Haiku Gardens and Haleiwa Joe's and we look forward to coming back to eat for our anniversary :)
Having our wedding at Haiku Gardens and the reception at Haleiwa Joe’s was a wonderful experience! Everyone complemented the beauty of the gardens and views from the restaurant as well as the delicious food. Working with Tamara, the wedding coordinator, made the process so easy. She is very flexible, patient, and kind. I live in California and I was finishing my doctorate while planning a destination wedding, but working with Tamara made the whole thing easy. I can't recommend this venue highly enough!
