This March we decided to do an elopement ceremony package with family and close friends (count of people in the 20’s) at Haiku and it was the best decision I made as a bride. Not only was everything handled through them so I wasn’t worrying about a single thing, I was also easily able to pick and choose what I wanted in their all inclusive package. Awesome communication with quick replies throughout the whole planning process. When our day came they executed our ceremony PERFECTLY. My whole family still talks about how beautiful the venue was, and how sweet the staff were to them. I can’t recommend them enough! They made the day perfect! 11/10 rating!
"Once we take money we don't give it back". Boy did that end up being a true statement. That is what was said to me by Jennifer Zyla when I made my last payment to Haiku I do. I had deposited $6,300 to hold my wedding reception on October 26th 2024. A few days after, hurricane Helene tragically struck Asheville and the venue sustained flood damage. Understandably so, Haiku I do was unable to hold our reception
I called Jennifer a couple weeks after the storm to inquire about next steps. I humbly asked for a partial refund and I was told that I would receive nothing. No new date, no credit of any kind and no refund. Jennifer pointed out to me that our contract had a vague clause which prevented the company for being liable for anything. "We would hold Haiku I do harmless for events outside of their control"
Today, November 30th 2024. The venue has been repaired and new weddings are being booking. I have lost nearly $6,300 on top of expenses of planning a new wedding.
I write this review as warning to anybody who wishes to business with this company. Carefully review your contract.
They will take your money and they wont give it back. Good thing I didn't pay in advance for the alcohol package.
Words can't describe how dreamy our wedding reception here was. The venue is already incredibly decorated for the whimsical garden party of your dreams but staff was incredibly helpful in arranging personal decorations beforehand. Guests could not get over how gorgeous the entire space was and had so much fun roasting s'mores at the fire pit, admiring the fish in the koi pond, and having drinks in the vintage RV. Haiku staff took care of EVERYTHING and I showed up and literally took a huge sigh of relief knowing all of my guests were beyond happy and everything looked amazing! Before I could think, Haiku's coordinator, Kisha, was at my side - asking what I needed and if she could get me a glass of wine... absolutely amazing!! I can't say enough good things about this venue.
PHEW! I'll try to keep this brief but Haiku I Do was amazing!
My husband is from Australia and our wedding needed to be planned and executed quickly due to the nature of his visa (the fiance visa requires you to marry within 90 days of entering the country). Up until approval we didn't know if we'd be marrying in AU or the US!
We found Haiku I Do and from the moment we contacted them, we knew they were different! They have a warmer, more friendly, and personable feel when you work with them. Everyone else we contacted was cold or laughed us off when we told them how soon we needed to book the ceremony.
The grounds are GORGEOUS! It's a little slice of heaven tucked into the edge of Biltmore village! They told us that their motto is 'Come dressed, we do the rest!' and they didn't lie! I was nervous about overlooking a detail or something leading up to the ceremony but they seriously had everything covered!
We chose the location (their adorable chapel) and they asked for just a few things; we had to choose cake flavors, make a playlist on Spotify, and set a time for the ceremony. And that was it!!
They provided the venue, a photographer, music (their speakers but our playlist <3), a bouquet and boutonniere, the cake, champagne, and an officiant! And they help you coordinate, they don't take your money and just leave you to sweat wondering if you're doing it right.
They offer multiple packages for elopements. They also offer offsite elopements! And they offer full wedding day packages with all the bells and whistles for ceremonies and receptions!
All in all, they were wonderful to work with and we will be recommending them for years! <3
