Liz did a amazing job on hair and makeup for my daughter’s wedding. I have also used her multiple times for special events. She is always punctual and professional. Highly recommend!

I love Liz! She did a great job on my hair and make-up for my wedding, as well as my bridesmaids and mom! She was great about following the schedule that allowed us to all be ready in time for pictures beforehand. My hair and airbrush make-up stayed in place all night....it was 90 degrees during our outdoor ceremony and pictures, and I thought for sure that all my make-up would have sweated off. When I walked inside to freshen up afterwards, I was thinking I'd have to do some major touch-ups, but it was still perfect! She was also very quick to respond, which I appreciated.

We celebrated my little girls Quinceanera in October and I contacted Liz for my daughters photo shoot for her to do her hair. She did a good job on her hair for photos, but her hair was falling from the updo after about 45 minutes. I talked to Liz about the hair mishap and she said that she could make sure that she pinned it more for the day of which was fine. I figured I would give her another shot and have her do my other daughters hair as well as mine for the day of, which was October 26th. She arrived at the time she said she would and got started on us. I didn't have any photos of a style I liked so I told her to do curls (my hair is naturally curly so I blow dried it out because that is what she told me to do) My hair when she was done was an absolute mess, my curls were falling out before she was done and the bump or whatever on the back of my head looked like a rats nest. My son and daughter had to completely re-curl my hair for me after she made two more attempts to curl my hair without success. My oldest daughter did have pictures of what she wanted and Liz was unable to do the style she wanted. It was definitely not worth the $260 I paid her for the four of us. The updos for my youngest and my middle daughter were nice but my oldest and myself were 100% disappointed and left very upset to tears with the work she did on us. She basically blamed me for not having a picture for her to work with and not having enough hair/ hair was too thin. I wish she would have just been honest and said she didn't know how to do the work on our hair and we would have looked for someone else. I trusted that as a hair stylist with good reviews for the most part she would come in and do a phenomenal job but she didn't. She seems to only be good with a certain type of hair and can only do one style. As my son in law stated in a previous post I wanted to feel beautiful the day of my last baby's Quinceanera and she didn't do that for me or my daughter.

Liz is extremely talented Her company has done hair and makeup for my daughters auditions, photoshoots and her last dance. If you have a special occasion I highly recommend her services!

Liz is absolutely amazing! She came to my house to do my hair trial and did a wonderful job - I showed her pictures of what I had in mind, and she replicated it, asking questions as she went to ensure that she was getting it right. She offered 3 styles, but she knocked it out on the very first try. For the day of the ceremony she came to the venue to do hair for myself, my 3 bridesmaids, my flower girl (who is very tender-headed), MIL and my SIL (who has hair down to her butt). Some of them had photos they showed her, others just asked her for her thoughts/ideas - every single one of them was ecstatic with what she did! My flower girl even decided at the last minute that she wanted some of the extra fake wisteria from my decorations in her hair, and Liz accommodated her (and it looked phenomenal!) Plus, my beautiful updo stayed put all night, I never had to worry about it! I cannot say enough how happy I am with Liz! She is professional, talented, and efficient (~15 minutes per person). Thank you for helping to make my day beautiful, Liz!

Can’t say enough about Liz and her talent. She was professional and did an amazing job at our wedding. She handled getting all the bridesmaids, the flower girl, and myself ready and we all looked so beautiful because of her. I loved liz! She was super quick and efficient on my hair & makeup as well as my whole wedding party. She listened to what I wanted and my hair and makeup looked even better then what I was going for. Everything stayed put all day and night.

I’m getting married in June, so I decided to find someone on the knot with good reviews to do my hair and makeup. Based off her reviews I decided to look into, Hair by Liz, and immediately emailed her in January of 2019. We went over what I was looking for and the number of people associated with my wedding party that would be needing her service. She responded promptly with a quote that I have a copy of, however she never mentioned her website or associated policies that can only be found on her webpage…I only used the link provided by the knot that lead me to her name, contact info., and reviews. Actually, I have texted conversations with, Hair by Liz, requesting a portfolio of her past work and she directed me over to the knot, nowhere else. Fast forward to April of 2019, my trail run date, which was the same day as my bridal pictures. Initially she told me there was a $100 deposit to save the date…agreed, however she later changed deposit to $200. She mentioned later that she would like to have 25% prior to the wedding, however this was prior to my trial run and again the day of my bridal pictures…never did she mention on paper or verbally that the 25% was a non-refundable deposit on her services and/or reserving her services. After my trials with my makeup/hair I was displeased, but it was too late to find anyone else as I had my bridal pictures that day (lesson learned on my end to do trail prior). Jumping forward, I received my bridal pictures and my makeup looked bad, so told her I wanted to cancel her services for the wedding...in a kind gesture that I felt appropriate so that she would not feel bad. I thought that I should have the benefit of being happy with my hair/makeup on my wedding day and paying for it. Well, in our conversation (via text) of cancellation, she exclaimed to me that the 25% she requested was now apart of the deposit and was non-refundable. I explained to her that the documentation in hand from her does not show this, she then told me to review her website and it tells you that this is a non-refundable requirement…remember, she never referred me to her website, ever, always the knot. So I figure, how convenient that the website covers her requirements, but none of her documentation states any of this, nor does a website…which is not a signed binding contract. When I mentioned that there was never a contract provided or signed, she replied that she doesn’t do contracts for this small of an amount. I thought that it was funny, because, all transactions are not small , plus if its such a small amount why does she have such an issue parting from it? So, we went back and forth via text and told me she might return a portion of it, if she can get another wedding on my date since she turned down a few already because of my wedding…really, on a Friday afternoon. Again, keep the original $100 deposit…but I was not as easy about the 25% and again asked for the contract (paperwork) stating this…it did not exist, but she did unethically send me a new contract with a small insert at the bottom that the original quote did NOT have. I have screenshots of all these conversations. I also have the original contract (quote) and the revised (after-the-fact) contract she sent me. In my opinion, these are all very unethitical business practices from the beginning to the end…so buyer beware.

Liz was the best! She was punctual , professional, and very efficient. She was very flexible and worked with me in different venues for my rehearsal and wedding days. I’ve never looked better, and neither had my Matron of Honor!

Liz is a MAGICIAN. One minute I’m talking to her, the next minute *poof* she’s done with my hair and I look absolutely amazing! I showed her a picture of what I wanted, she was able to replicate the style and made it better! I danced the whole night and my hair was still perfect. Definitely recommend booking with Liz!

Absolutely LOVE Liz and her assistants Mandy and Tori! I had 9 bridesmaids and 2 mothers plus myself and they had us all looking beautiful and perfect on time and on schedule! They were efficient but never rushed! Everyone’s hair and makeup lasted all day and night.

I planned my wedding out of state and got in touch with Liz shortly after I got engaged. We only had a 8 month engagement and she was very helpful, responsive and fairly priced. The day of my wedding went by extremely smooth, even with a start time of 5:30 am. She did 4 hair, 6 make up including my mother in law and did an incredible job. We got compliments all throughout my wedding about how good our make up and hair looked and I was very impressed with her timing and availability. Liz is a really great person very nice and friendly and her assistant did an amazing job as well

Liz did my hair and makeup for my engagement and bridal portraits and my wedding day. She had an assistant, Heather, for my wedding day. Heather was fantastic as well! She did beautiful, natural makeup for myself, bridesmaids, and mom. She did some hair, and Liz did the rest. Liz was great with communication beforehand, and captured the look I wanted perfectly!

Liz did an excellent job of bringing to life my vision for my wedding hair and make up. I have thick, difficult to manage hair, but it looked flawless for both my bridals and wedding day. Liz and her team were easy to work with and I cannot recommend her enough!

I booked Hair and Makeup by Liz because of the good reviews Liz had, and I am happy I did. Liz is so sweet, and works fast, but in a good way! I had a few friends show up that wanted last minute hair and makeup, and Liz was able to accommodate everyone. Her and her team did an amazing job on both the hair and makeup. I highly recommend booking her for any event.

Liz and her assistant Kayla did hair and makeup for me and my 4 bridesmaids - Asian, South Asian, Caucasian and Latina - no problem with different hair types and skin colors! Liz is so good at what she does, she could probably do your hair with her eyes closed! Everyone looked great. She has done thousands of weddings and can give good advice about what hairstyle will work best with the weather on your wedding day, as well as what hairstyle will match your dress. Totally worth the money.

I decided last minute, literally a couple of weeks before my wedding, that I wanted to hire a make up and hair stylist. Liz was very responsive to my phone calls and e-mails, answering all my questions and concerns. Luckily she was available for my day. Initially it was to be 3 of my bridesmaid's hair and my make up and hair to be done. My other two bridesmaid decided they wanted Liz to do their hair too after seeing her great work. Liz was fast and the hair styles were beautiful. Everything was finished in a timely manner, considering the two unexpected hair styles that need to be done. My hair and makeup came out perfect!! I got a lot of compliments. I will definitely recommend her to everyone I know.

Book Liz immediately! She's amazing and books up quickly. Liz did my hair along with 6 bridesmaids and 2 mothers. Her assistant, Kayla, did make up for everyone. All of us were ecstatic with how it turned out! Liz is very efficient with her time. She is extremely talented. Her prices are listed on her website and are very reasonable for the Houston area. She charges a nominal fee for travel. It was so nice having her come to my hotel on the wedding day instead of worrying about driving to a salon. I highly recommend Hair by Liz. I had her do a side pony with clip in extensions. She matched my hair color perfectly and the curls stayed all night (even in the humidity!). Thank you, Liz!!

If I could give negative stars, I would. Thank God I had a trial run done before this disastrous makeup was done on my wedding day. My eyebrows were crooked, fake eyelashes pointed straight out instead of being curled up, had dry mascara applied, and lipstick that looked terrible on my skin tone. I called Liz to discuss my experience and she said "you must be picky." Horrible customer satisfaction. The price of the services were cheaper than beauty competitors in the area, but the service reflected what I paid for.

Liz was fabulous! So quick and patient. She was able to get everyone done- hair and makeup so quickly and everyone looked to glamourous! We were all so pleased with everything. I would highly recommend her for any service for anything. Just so happy with everything!!

I used Hair and Makeup by Liz for both my bridal portraits and my wedding day. Liz and her associate were very professional and consistently on time to every appointment. They really worked with me and my bridesmaids to make sure that we looked amazing on my wedding day! I showed them a picture of what I wanted my hair and makeup to look like, and they were able to recreate the picture perfectly. They were all so friendly and really made the process relaxing. My wedding photos came out phenomenal and my hair held the whole night with no problems! I would highly recommend using them for hair and makeup for any event!

Hair and makeup by Liz was incredible! She did my hair and makeup for our engagement photos, rehearsal dinner and wedding! I would find a picture from Pinterest of hair or makeup that I liked and she was able to copy it perfectly! I literally got so many compliments at each of my wedding events! These girls were amazing!! Quick and we looked Fabulous!! My hair and makeup lasted for the entire event!! Only downside is I requested non-transferralble lipstick and she didn't comply. My new husband looks ridiculous in our photos with his smeared red lips...

Liz and her assistant were fantastic. They arrived on time at our hotel and worked very efficiently to get everyone completed on time. We were all very happy with our hair and make up. Liz listened carefully and did everyone's hair just as they asked. As the bride I thought my hair looked gorgeous. Plus it held up all day! The make-up artist was fantastic. She is really good at picking colors and blending them for a wonderful look. When I initially started planning my wedding I had originally planned on using my usual hair stylist to do my hair an make-up that day. I quickly learned what I really needed was a professional that was used to doing a large number of people in a fast efficient manner while making us look our best all at the same time. Trust me that person is Liz. On your wedding day you want someone who is good under pressure but remains calm. I highly recommend Liz.

Not only was Liz's styling great, her help was even greater. My hair stylist cancelled the day before my bridal portraits (and 16 days before the wedding). I called Liz and she called me back within 5 minutes saying she would be out of town the next day but would be available for the wedding. She sent a great assistant, Angela, and they both came the day of the wedding. My hair was exactly like the picture that I showed her and amidst all the dancing, it stayed in the entire night!! LOVE her and will recommend to everyone!

Liz was amazing to work with! She came to my house for a trial a few months before the wedding, and she remembered on wedding day what I liked/wanted. My hair looked gorgeous!! She did mine, 5 bridesmaids, my mom and my mother-in-law so quickly but everyone looked amazing. Her assistant, Kayla, that did our make-up was also wonderful. All of my girls looked beautiful and received several compliments on their makeup and hair. I'd highly recommend Liz!!

Liz was great to work with. She is FAST and GOOD at hair so if I did things over again I would skip the trial. I'm glad that I went with her. My hair was in a low up-do and it did begin to fall out before I even started dancing...That was a bummer but it still looked great and I would go with her again.

Liz and her staff were so awesome! Liz and her helper( forgive me, I don't remember her name) did all my bridal parties hair and make up. They showed up on time and were so patient with us! I had agreed to do my hair down at our trial, but changed my mind the day of. Liz was totally cool about it and my hair looked fabulous! I was also very impressed with all our make up. I went with the airbrushing and it held up all night. No touch ups needed. I would definitely recommend her services!

My hair looked absolutely gorgeous on my wedding day! Liz is easy to work with and she's the quickest hair stylist I've ever seen. At my trial, my hair looked exactly as I wanted it to. She did forget what I had asked it to look like on my wedding day, so it didn't quite turn out as I had hoped, but it still looked gorgeous. I would recommend her!

Liz is so professional and precise when you are working with her. She did the hair and makeup for me and my bridesmaids perfectly! Liz and Kayla are wonderful. Both of them traveled out to my house for makeup and hair trail and couple pictures. On the day of, they were both calm and collected despite the chaos that was my wedding party and family. I have very sensitive and reactive eyes, especially to false lashes, and Liz and Kayla were very patient and understanding. I will definitely using them again for any hair or makeup needs in the future!
