My hair looked gorgeous I loved that I still felt like “me”, which is what I wanted. In addition to my hair, Hilary also did my mom’s hair, along with 3 of my bridesmaids. These consisted of updos, half-up and blowouts/down hairstyles - so pretty much every kind of style. Everyone’s hair looked stunning and most importantly, they were all pleased with how it turned out! All of our hairstyles lasted the entire night - no one had to fix anything or do any touch-ups. I also would like to add that not only was Hilary extremely fun and easy to work with, she has such a wonderful, calming presence about her that you want on your big day. I highly recommend Hilary for all your wedding hair needs! She was worth every penny. Thank you, Hilary!!!

trial for my wedding style was perfect, but what I can attest to most about Hilary is the fact that I completely changed the style I wanted once she started my hair on the day of my wedding (bridezilla at her finest... cture I brought. On the wedding day, she came to me and did the hair of all the bride's maids, moms, me, and even the inevitable guest who wasn't invited to get ready AND asked for her hair done. Hilary didn't react but did it all with a smile. Then, I got mixed up and told everyone a lower price than what she actually charges. She didn't even blink, and happily accepted my mistake. (I tried to make it up to her later!) She is very professional, happy, calming, and (I'm pretty sure) a mind reader. I couldn't have asked for a better experience, on my wedding day or any day since. Every time I see her, I leave feeling happy, beautiful, and pampered.

hich I should have known was a bad sign. As we were chatting, I had mentioned that I had already booked her on my wedding day for 2PM on Thursday July 21st. She then told me that she was going on vacation and wouldn't be back by July 21st- Which was odd, since I had already scheduled both of these appointments with her back in April- and I had not been informed of any schedule changes. She told me to hang on while she went to "double check" her calendar. She came back, and told me to relax, because she was just confused, and would in fact be back in time for my wedding, but she didn't see me on her calendar. Well now I am panicking, as my wedding is only a month away, and she doesn't even have me on her calendar now? I have gotten several emails confirming my appointments. How can I get confirmations, but she doesn't see me on her schedule? This makes no sense. I left the salon- feeling confused and stressed, hoping my wedding day would go much smoother.....well, that was asking for far too much. I'l get to that later. When I got home I emailed the Inca St. location (the location I originally scheduled at) and the salon manager emailed me back, assuring me I was in fact scheduled on my wedding day and that Hillary must've been looking at the other locations schedule. Wow, how unorganized can these people be!!!!! Anyways, back to my wedding day.... So July 21st rolls around. I've just had my makeup done by the Makeup Madame (Lindsay Ambrosio) The BEST makeup artist ever. I highly reccommend her...and now, I am headed to appointment #2, my hair. So far my day has been stress free, and moving right along. UNTIL, I arrive at Zandi K (Inca St. location) I check in with the front desk, give them my name and appointment time, and say I am scheduled with Hilary. The lady at the front tells me to hang out, and Hilary will be right with me (she will go let her know I am here) NO JOKE I waited for 45 minutes before the same girl at the front desk tells me there has been a scheduling conflict, and Hillary is in Hawaii!!! Are you F****** kidding me.....TODAY IS MY WEDDING DAY and there is nobody here to do my hair. Un-freaking-believable. Literally every brides worst nightmare. And it took them 45 minutes to realize she is on vacation? After all the confirmation emails, all the double checking, These people are ridiculous. How they can run a salon and keep people happy and coming back is beyond me! Thank fully, there was a woman available(a level 1 stylist) to at least try to do what we did during my trial run- but we were rushed (I was already 45 minutes behind after waiting) I am thankful at least somebody was available to do my hair, but I am at a loss for words on how unorganized, and unprofessional Zandi K is. I will tell everyone I know to never come to this salon. And if you are a Bride-to-be looking for a place to get your hair done. WARNING DO NOT GO HERE, BOOK ELSEWHERE. Unless you like a stressful and unorganized wedding day, then this is your place! WORST HAIR SALON EVER!!!!!!!! Hilary Matthies is a joke, don't book her through Zandi K or her own company Hair Artistry by Hillary- you will be let down, or worse stranded on your wedding day like I was. TAKE MY ADVICE!

She was punctual and efficient - completing our hair within the time designated. My hair was a flawless up-do and held up throughout the entire day without difficulty. She did a great job on my sister's hair as well, which was half up/half down. Hilary did a great job on our hair and is obviously very talented. She was warm, friendly, calm and dependable - all qualities that helped make the day run smoothly and kept my mind at ease. I couldn't be happier with her work!

. Come the wedding day, she did an updo for one of my bridesmaids and it came out beautifully. Her hair looked polished and stayed throughout the night, but she also looked like herself. Hilary did a stunning job on my hair, listening to what I said after the trial and creating the perfect style. It stayed all night, but wasn't too tight and made the whole outfit come together. She was great and someone I totally was able to connect with!

She finished 3 bridesmaids, a flower girl, and my mother within 3 hours and kindly waited another hour for me to finish my makeup before she did my hair. The best part about Hilary is that she cares about the bride beyond the day of. I called her salon in a panic less than a week before my wedding because my scheduled highlights with my usual colorist did not go well. She rearranged her entire schedule the week before to accommodate my concerns and get me in for highlights right before my wedding. Had it not been for her, my hair would have not looked as beautiful as it did the day of. Guests kept commenting the entire night how gorgeous I looked, thanks to Hilary. I will be visiting her for now on for all my future hair needs!

Combining both her creative styling (which is why I contacted her first and foremost) and my comments for the look I asked for, I was completely happy with the trial consultation; even wondering if it would be hard to get the same effect on our actual wedding day. Hillary was so accommodating when it came closer to the big day and after meeting me at the hotel, she calmed my nerves because I had one less thing to worry about knowing she would take care of my styling and complete my bridal look. I was so happy with the finished style, and throughout the day, I had so many compliments about it! I can't thank Hilary enough for working with me and would highly recommend her to any bride wishing to look beautiful on her big day!

When my wedding day rolled around, she showed up on time and ready to go (despite the venue being 3 hours from Denver). We decided to make a last minute change from the hair trial, and she executed perfectly, even without having tried this style on me before. She also did my bridesmaids hair. A few of them were a little picky, and she made every effort to make sure they loved their do's, even though they weren't the bride :) She also had to work with a birdcage veil and my grandmother's hairpin, which came out great when it was all put together. I ended up leaving the birdcage it through the entire reception - it never budged and my hair held up the entire night. I was absolutely in love with my look, and still get comments 4 months later about how great my hair looked. I would hands down recommend Hilary to anyone needing a hair stylist for their wedding or another special day.

I wanted a hairstyle that looked natural and romantic. That is exactly what she did! My bridesmaids loved their hair as well. It did not take long at all for 5 people to have their hair done. It was a great experience!
