Helena was AMAZING! We had a large bridal party so she brought an assistant, took her time on each person and made everyone's hair look great. All of my bridesmaids were raving how good their hair looked and everyone commented on it at my wedding. Thank you for helping to make my day perfect!

I got married in May and the night before my plans were changed. I was no longer going to be staying in LA where she was originally going to do my hair. I panicked and asked her if she wouldn't mind traveling some extra miles and she accepted my request. The day of my wedding my hair looked beautiful! She took her time and did an amazing job. She's very friendly and respected my family. She did my grandma's hair and sister's hair after styling my hair without an appointment with them even though she had plans afterward. My grandma loved her! Helena is quit the giver. She shared bobby pins with my bridesmaid, did extra hair styles for my family, understood that I couldn't meet her in LA and even traveled further for me. She made my hair look absolutely gorgeous. Where to begin…Let’s start by saying HELENA YOU’RE AMAZING! I had started my quest for hairstyles and looks that I thought I would want for my wedding day. Flipping through countless photos on the internet, I came across a stunning hairstyle with Helena tagged on it. The style was not what I was looking for, but it was certainly something that caught my attention. I reached out to Helena knowing that she WAS the one. She came over one Saturday with her cup of coffee and began to ask me questions. All different types of questions secretly learning about my style likes and dislikes. As we chatted, she started working on my trial. Pinning here, curling there, spritzing all the way and then TADA - “All Done”! I took a glance in the mirror and immediately asked if she was free the day of our wedding. I knew after the first style that she was the one I needed for our special day. About an hour and 3 different styles later, we confirmed the date. I met up with some friends later that evening and received compliment after compliment about how amazing my hair looked. I thought wow…my hair looked fantastic even after the hairpins and combs were out. That was the confirmation I needed that my hair would last me all day & night. And it DID! Although I kept changing my selection over and over again, and the countless emails to Helena with questions, she always responded with her thoughts and answers. Her professionalism and talent certainly exceeded my expectations. Helena – I wanted to thank you for the beautiful job you did on my hair and the entire wedding party. Helena did an absolutely wonderful job on my hair for my wedding! I gave her guidelines and she got creative!! More than just doing a good job on my hair, she was fantastic to hang out with!! She's an absolute ball to hang out with and her infective energy definitely get you pumped for your wedding!!

Helena is awesome! I cannot say enough good things about her. All I had to tell her was - Beehive. She totally understood me right away. I had a retro beehive and my bridesmaids had big curls. I had seven bridesmaids with Asian thick hair. Helena was able to create curls and volume. And best of all the curls stayed put all day. I also made matching oversize hair bows and Helena was able to place them perfectly and creatively. I was in love with their hair. It totally made a statement. She was very professional and created a schedule for the girls. She was punctual and even arrived early. I would absolutely hire her again in a heart beat...maybe for another big occasion.

I would highly recommend Helena to do your hair for any event. she did my best friend's hair for her wedding and she was the most stunning bride I had ever seen. She made me feel like an absolute princess the day I got married. I received so many compliments on my hair on the day of my wedding. I trusted her so much and was so impressed with her abilitly to impliment my vision I couldn't wait to have her do my hair again for my baby shower. She is so talented! I would recommend her to anyone who wants to feel and look amazing for any occasion.

Helena is extremely talented at understanding your vision and transforming it into reality, which is exactly what a bride needs! She made me feel beautiful on my wedding day. My hair was even more gorgeous than anticipated and she made flower girl feel like a little princess. I didn't bring her any pictures of what I wanted my flower girl's hair to look like. I just gave her two words to work with: "messy fairy", and she delivered exactly that! In addition to being so talented she is also a pure joy to work with. Helena is professional, courteous, and extremely personable. I would be proud to recommend her to even my dearest friends and family.

I had a great experience with Helena. I found her through a referral when I learned that my previous stylist wasn't going to work out. Even though I scheduled Helena at the last minute, she was super flexible. She did my hair on two different days, and both times she had to wait around for me to be ready because I was running late, but she was really chill and nice about it. On my wedding day she had to wake up at like 4 am and travel far to get to my house by 6 am. She was 100% perfectly on time. She was pleasant and patient, and listened to exactly what I wanted (whereas my last stylist was pushy and imposed her own opinions a little to heavily). Each time I asked Helena to tweak something, she worked on it until I felt it was perfect. She was willing to spend as much time as I needed. She's also very fast and works well under pressure---both times I was running super late and she worked effectively and quickly. Also, the updo that she did on my wedding day was very sturdy and secure. The updo lasted all day even though it got aggressively jostled many times during changing in/out of dresses. I got lots of compliments on my hair. The bottom line is, you want 2 primary things in a stylist: 1) hair skills 2) amiability. In my experience it's not super easy to find someone who has both, but Helena does. Many many thanks to her.

I highly recommend Helena for any hair-styling need. I used her for my wedding in Aug 2012 and she was incredibly accommodating. Not only does she travel for free (if you are within her zone, which is a pretty large area) but she also lent me hair extensions and was able to change locations around last minute. She was very responsive to all my needs and all my bridesmaids loved their hair. Not only is Helena and her assistant incredibly professional and friendly, they also create great styles that are not your typical wedding up-do. They are very versatile in what they can do and you will not be disappointed.

Helena is just fantastic. I had a last-minute consultation/trial with her due to my original hairstylist backing out, and she was not only understanding, but completely laid back, easy to talk to, and no-drama. The trial consisted of her creating a custom updo for me which was jaw-dropping quality, and fun to sit and chat with her. On my wedding day, she was on-time, relaxed, prepared and understanding of typical "bridal" issues. FIVE STARS!!

Helena is truly great! She understood EXACTLY what i wanted. I hired her to do my hair for my wedding,and I don't regret is one bit. She made me feel beautiful , from the beginning to the end I kept receiving compliments on how great my hair looked!

If there's one decision you shouldn't falter on in the wedding planning process, it's the decision to have your hair styled by Helena. She is positively the most gracious hair stylist in L.A.. If Helena could deal with my "Bride-zilla" moments with nothing but smiles, she is well-equipped for any bride. I know I was tough to be around, but she made everything more than pleasant! She is a no fuss stylist, educated, and MORE than fair in pricing which is a rarity here in the greater Los Angeles and Orange County areas. She recommended me to the BEST make-up artist as well. My photos are flawless :-) and I couldn't be happier with her results! My hair simply will not hold a curl and Helena was so kind as to come and do a "touch-up" of my hair half-way through the pictures(which I took before the wedding so I could enjoy my meal and cocktail hour), which wasn't expected at all on my end! I intend to have Helena (if she will have me) as my hairstylist for many years to come! I absolutely love her!!

I have known "hairstylist extraordinaire" Helena for about 6 years now, ever since I first met her on an editorial shoot where she styled my hair. I was so impressed with her creativity, skill and professionalism that I have continued to work with her ever since. I entrusted her with my hair on one of my most important days-my wedding- and I was thrilled that I did! I felt so beautiful because of my hair and it really helped me to be more photogenic in my pictures. She truly knows how to take your vision and make it a reality. I have since recommended her to several of my friends who have also used her for their weddings and other photo shoots and events as well.
