ing and fast contract signing as I am an out of town Bride with no wedding planner. The space overall is gorgeous and can be transformed to fit so many bridal aesthetics! We loved having the designated separate cocktail hour bar/patio area, outdoor ceremony space, and reception space. It made the flow of the day so seamless and our guests enjoyed getting to use all sides of the venue! If that wasn't enough the large grass fields and greenery made our photos look so gorgeous. The girls got ready in the Something Blue Cottage. It was very spacious and clean. If you have a large bridal party your MUA and hair team might need to bring additional tables to spread out and feel comfortable. As far as wedding coordination, it did seem like every interaction we had with staff was a different person on their team so I do wish we could have been assigned one person to meet for touring, walk through, rehearsal, emails back and forth ,and day of management. That way we were on the same page and comfortable at each step. Overall we cannot thank the staff enough for being so helpful to us in our time of need and we enjoyed our day so much. We believe finding this venue was meant to be!

Overall, I highly recommend the venue. The only slight issues we had were miscommunication with who showed us the venue, and the reality of certain fees and spaces we could use, and what for (i.e we were never told we had to pay extra to use the kegs, until our 30 day meeting, and we were told we could have a rehearsal dinner at the cottage, but that was untrue), and the 30 day meeting. Our 30 day meeting was extremely stressful, and honestly there was a bit of attitude from the venue manager I did not appreciate. This WAS my first and only wedding, and I was extremely stressed and overwhelmed. I would have appreciated a clear and concise list of what I needed done and when, as a reminder before the meeting. While those things are minor, they did cause unneeded stress so close to the wedding. I would again recommend that whoever shows the venue has very clear guidelines of what they can say, and notes any extra fees that are not expressed. On the day of my wedding, I do give major props to the team that was there to assist, and made sure everything went as smoothly as possible.

ts well but a little snug. I loved it! The folks I worked with at the venue were very easy to work with and helpful throughout the process. If you’re able to afford it, I HIGHLY recommend using the bridal cottage. It made the day so fun and stress free. There’s also a cool built in bar that made it easy for us to use at the reception and saved space in the reception area.

was a plus that they’ve worked with most of our vendors already and I could already see they have such a great relationship with them. Very much appreciated them for helping our vision come to life! Highly recommend for couples looking for that barn/winery type of vibe in a quiet/beautiful area and not too deep into part of the Loudoun county area, great location!

much information about the venue. There is a bridal house on site that is absolutely perfect to spend the night with your girls before your big day. The venue was everything our hearts desired! I would recommend this place again and again because it was just absolutely perfect.

space. Everyone at Halcyon is also super nice and accommodating - we used a lot of their recommended vendors as well and had a great experience with all of them. The day of the wedding, the property manager heard that I did not like the color of some of the flowers in the planters outside so made a trip to see if he could find the flowers I wanted, which I thought was incredibly nice. Halcyon is also making so many updates to their space to make it such a beautiful venue, from the time we signed with them in December 2023 to our wedding day, they had added the outside ceremony stamped concrete, barn doors to the reception space, new doors on the outside that were more aesthetically pleasing and upped their landscaping. To say that we were impressed by all the improvements is an understatement! I hope to visit again to see how the space has transformed even more. Halcyon is also so affordable compared to the other wedding venues in Northern Virginia. The Bridal Cottage is a game changer! A few bridesmaids and I stayed in it the night before the wedding and it was so nice to wake up and already be in the space where you will be getting ready for the day. It was also great to have a place to go to right after the wedding to debrief with your friends - some of the best wedding memories with friends were made at the Bridal Cottage. I do just want to call out that the description of the venue on the Knot says this venue will fit 200 people but I do not see how that is possible. We had 95 people and the downstairs felt maxed out with a decent sized dance floor. Unless you are comfortable using the upstairs area for tables or don't mind using the dance floor space for tables and moving them after dinner, I think the max number of people for this space downstairs is ~100-110 without your guests feeling too packed in. Just something to keep in mind when touring because the space in the pictures looks a bit bigger than it does in person. Additionally, during your walkthrough, I recommend making sure to pay attention to any specific details that require maintenance, we noticed on of the bathroom door locks was not working and had to communicate that to management to fix. I cannot thank the Halcyon Watson staff enough for a smooth wedding day and highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a charming rustic wedding!

We had 84 guests and the venues size felt intimate yet with plenty of areas for guest to get some air! Throughout the planning process, the staff particularly Lauren demonstrated exceptional professionalism and attentiveness. From the initial consultation to the final moments of our wedding day, they went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of our event was executed flawlessly. Their expertise and guidance were invaluable, and they truly made us feel like our wedding was their top priority. The on site bridal house provided a tranquil space for us to prepare and relax before the ceremony! What truly sets Halcyon Watson apart is the dedication and passion of the entire team. They genuinely cared about making our wedding day unforgettable and went above and beyond to accommodate our vision and preferences.
