Here is why you should book Half a Rice Studios (I know it's long, but I think it's worth the read, especially if you are detail-oriented & indecisive like me): Great Personality This was our #1 "Must-Have" for our wedding photographer. We thought, "If you don't get along well with your wedding photographer, how can you smile in front of their camera?" Jill's personality is very charming, and she is simply sweet and kind. She is an easy person to talk to and is overall easy-going and understanding. This made it easy for me to share my thoughts and ideas and for my husband and I to be able to express ourselves in front of a camera (more below about this)! It is very obvious that Jill loves what she does, and her love & passion becomes even more clear when we got to work with her and received our photos. <3 Comfort Jill made an extra effort to get to know us, and we felt like that was important because it definitely built our comfort and chemistry. Jill provided guidance on how she wanted us to pose, where to pose, what to do with our hands, etc. And it's the exact kind of guidance you need amidst all the chaos that comes with a wedding day. I can not recommend Jill enough for weddings. She was amazing, and I would pick her as my photographer again in a heartbeat.

Now there’s a different between a good photographer and a GREAT photographer. A good photographer goes to work on time, take good photos, and deliver the photos to you on time. I wanted to take engagement photos and I knew Jill is a photographer, so I texted her and asked her about the price and availability. The price is really good and she is super flexible. Summer time in Houston is way too hot, so I asked her if we can do the photo shoot in the morning like 7:30. She was absolutely fine with it and she got there even 20 minutes early! She was so knowledgeable about poses and places so you don’t have to worry about not knowing how to pose or where you should go. She told us we should receive our pictures around 2 weeks after but we got them earlier than that! All of the pictures look nice and they got a lot of compliments from our friends! My friend even asked me who the photographer is. I highly recommend Jill because she is an amazing photographer!
