Our wedding was almost 4 years ago, and Meghan and I STILL talk about how awesome Joey and April are! They are ridiculously professional and amazing photographers. So true in fact, that no less than 3 of our friends have asked them to shoot their wedding photos, and I've now introduced Joey to my clients for corporate shoots. Joey and April were absolutely amazing! They shot our small family beach wedding and made the entire experience the most memorable and gorgeous moment of our lives. The pictures were absolutely perfect and they never felt to obtrusive or posed. They truly made me feel at peace and calm on my wedding day. We have a very bossy family and they handled everyone beautifully.

April and Joey were truly amazing to work with from start to finish. They were very thoughtful it getting to know us and what was most important to us about our wedding, and that really showed in the photos. My husband and I were so fortunate to have been referred to Joey and April with Half Full Photography! After talking with Joey over the phone and getting an idea of their style, I knew immediately that they were perfect to capture our wedding. I loved browsing their website and viewing all of the fantastic weddings and events they have photographed. Throughout the planning stages and months leading up to the wedding they would check in with us via email or send us fun cards in the mail mentioning how excited they were to be a part of our wedding. When I had questions they were so responsive which really helped out. These details and personalized attention was unlike anything I have experienced! It set the tone for the wedding and got us excited to work with them! Our engagement shoot was so much fun! My husband and I were a little nervous at first being photographed in public, but Joey made us feel very comfortable. We laughed and had fun which made our photos turn out great! After our engagement shoot we increased our coverage with them and scheduled the maximum hours the day of our wedding. We were so grateful to have Joey and April at our wedding! They were so professional and calm throughout the entire day! In the morning there were some bumps in the timeline, but with Joey and April's help we were back up to speed with ease! Throughout the entire day they were patient, compassionate and made the day so much fun! Our family loved working with they, and mentioned they were so organized when taking family photos. We were so impressed with the photos they took. Their professionalism, knowledge of their craft and fantastic locations they chose made the experience so much fun! We were so lucky to work with them! When you have been in the wedding industry as long as I have, you come across a lot of photographers, so making the decision for your own wedding can be difficult. This is not the case for me and my now husband, as we knew without a doubt that we wanted to work with Joey and April of Half Full Photography. I met Joey and April back in 2014 when they shot a wedding at one of my venues. They were charismatic, professional, and truly just really nice people. In addition to all of their lovely personal traits, their photos were AMAZING!!! Years went on and more and more amazing work crossed my desk. When it came time for me to get married, I was so excited that they were available. I had a destination wedding in Santa Barbara and they came up to work with us. Where do we even begin?? Starting with the very first phone conversation with Half Full, we felt so comfortable. Joey and April are not only extremely talented, but are also awesome people. We could not be happier with how our engagement pictures and wedding pictures turned out - we have received so many compliments! And on a day when you are surrounded by friends and family, it was so great to have Joey and April there to celebrate along with us!

Joey and April are a dream team. My husband and I knew we wanted them to be our photographers the moment we checked out their website. When we met Joey it was just easy and relaxing. My husband is not the most comfortable taking photos so I wanted to make sure we used a photographer that understood that and didn't pressure us to do anything unnatural. Joey shot our engagement photos and then he and April shot our wedding. Joey does a great job at guiding poses and placement and April has an eye for the details. She will make sure your dress is in place, jewelry straight, and hairs are out of the way. Communicating with them throughout the year is so fun and easy because THEY are so fun. They are also organized! Everything is simple and seamless. There is also just something fun about having a married couple photography duo. They genuinely enjoy their job. I am over to moon with how my photos turned out. Their style is on point and just beautiful!

I am so happy that my husband and I chose Joey and April to photograph our wedding. They are real professionals who are also very easy to talk to and fun to work with. We had a small, intimate wedding in our own backyard, and there were lots of little unique details that we put effort into and wanted to remember. April and Joey totally got it, and did a great job of capturing those little things. I could tell, they love what they do and take a lot of pride in doing it well. They also somehow captured lots of special moments between us and our family and friends, without ever being intrusive. They did a great job of staging the more formal photos too. When we got our flash drive of photos, I couldn't believe how beautiful and professional they all looked. We had an excruciating time picking out our favorites to go into the album since they were all so good. And the album turned out absolutely beautiful. I honestly don't even know where to begin with Joey and April of Half Full Photography. I could not have had a more positive experience working with these two. From the moment we were welcomed into their home to discuss our wedding photography, we felt like we were in incredibly good hands. After hanging out for a couple hours, we left knowing that these two would help us make our wedding day incredible. They were the first photographers we had met with, and while we chatted with a couple others, we knew we had to book these two. In the year leading up to the wedding, Joey was so supportive and there for us every step of the way. He even went out of town for us for an insanely awesome engagement shoot. The wedding day was a breeze, even though we veered off schedule slightly. April kept us moving and both made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera. We haven't gotten our pictures back yet, but I have no doubt in my mind that they will be beautiful and just what we wanted. That first night we met, they told us that they are firm believers in blending the traditional family look (to make grandma happy) and the more artsy look more couples are leaning towards these days. If our sneak peeks are any indication, they delivered on this ten-fold. I can't wait to have these two photograph more of our upcoming life events. You will not regret choosing them!

We were incredibly fortunate to have found Joey and April as photographers for our wedding. We found that so many vendors offer limited choices and constant pressure to fit into a package of what is best for them and not best for you. Joey and April were an absolute joy to do business with, because they made it very clear their focus is on us and how we would like our wedding to be shot and every other details, not matter how small. They treated us like family and were a constant warm and joyful presence during the entire process. Joey and April worked to ensure the package of products and services was exactly what we were looking for. We are incredibly thankful for that, however the photos they shot surpassed all of our expectations. We had several trial shoots with other vendors and they simply were not even close to the quality of shots from Half Full. I will close with one of our favorite moments from the wedding. We had just finished the ceremony and were taking our newly married pictures. We were at an outdoor location right behind the altar where we were married. My husband was holding me close and kissing my cheek. Joey caught that moment with the perfect amount of sunlight that made the shot look stunning. He checked the shot on his camera and said “oh wow, you guys have to come see this”. We were all instantly in love with it and knew it was ‘the photo’ of the wedding. We have a black and white enlargement on our wall and we will cherish that moment forever. Joey and April were AMAZING!! Hiring them was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. They were so incredibly helpful throughout the whole planning process. They were always there to answer any questions. They both are such genuine, nice, upbeat, easy to get along with people. Having them apart of our wedding day was great! Not only are their personalities awesome but they really helped us with sticking to our timeline and getting all of our BEAUTIFUL photos done within the right amount time. April and Joey are THE BEST!!! We felt so welcomed and comfortable with these 2, and had known them from a previous wedding my husband was a groomsman for. Photography was so important to us, as both of our mothers are photographers. We were given recommendations from venues we looked at, but the old-school, prom pose style was NOT for us. If you want classic, yet sophisticated and BEAUTIFUL photographs, Joey and April deliver! There were so professional, patient, and kind throughout the process. April and Joey were amazing. I spoke to a lot of different photographers before choosing them. I instantly clicked with them and I knew they would understand my husband and I and capture the perfect pictures, and I was right. I spent more than I had originally planned but in the end it was absolutely worth it. They were so easy to get along with, great with my wedding party, and we were able to get all the pictures in that we wanted in the time frame that we had between ceremony and reception, an incredible feat if you ask me. The end results were just amazing and I am forever grateful to them giving me these lasting memories of my wedding. I would recommend them 100 times over.
