Half Moon Lettering offers hand-lettered chalkboards, signage, stationery and paper goods for wedding and events. Working from a painting and drawing background allows Rachel to bring unique, artful elements to each project, ensuring that she can help bring your vision to life to perfectly suit your needs and event. Rachel takes pride in working largely by hand, certainly a product of her fine art education. She especially loves the lettering 'odd jobs' - each bringing an exciting challenge and bringing new life into her design process and service offerings. While Half Moon Lettering works largely with clients in the Houston, Texas area, we love to send our work out into the world too! Half Moon Lettering also enjoys working with businesses to create custom signs and advertising elements.

tions, we had really given her minimal guidance, I trusted her to create something beautiful and she went above and beyond. She created the invitation suite of our dreams, and worked with us to make sure the pattern used for it was exactly what we wanted. The floral pattern she created for the invitations was then carried through to details on the actual day. We used the pattern for the dance floor as well as for the bars and she created the digital files we needed to give to vendors to wrap each of those items. She also created custom cups, cocktail napkins, linen napkins, restroom napkins and signage for the day of. All were unique and cohesive – they added the most special personal touch to our day. Rachel also created the most gorgeous seating chart – she hand painted paper ginkgo leaves for each guest and arranged them to create a beautiful statement piece to welcome guests to the reception. I am so happy we worked with Rachel, she is so talented and her work was key to creating our dream wedding. I cannot recommend her enough!

e could make time to meet with me (saying she was free all week) she completely ghosted me. I thought maybe she was really busy, but then she had time to post on social media and wouldn’t respond to my Instagram messages asking if she was available to book. I felt that I was very polite, above and beyond based on the way she treated me as a potential client, and was so disappointed that she wouldn’t give me the decency of responding.

. She designed a custom save the date with cartoon versions of me and my husband, and then was able to hand sculpt us a cake topper that matched the cartoon figures from our save the dates. She also designed our invitations, escort cards, menus, and programs. Rachel's talent is both big and small. She comes up with amazing ideas, and then is able to fill those ideas out with small details that, in our case, made each paper good precisely what we wanted (and usually even better than what we wanted!). We were able to express who we are as a couple through her work, and her work added so many dashes of fun, uniqueness, and love to our wedding. We are so thankful for her creativity and support!
