We absolutely loved our wedding at the Halim Time & Glass Museum. It was such a gorgeous venue and exactly fit our vision of having a romantic, artsy, intimate, and unique venue. We loved how transparent their pricing was and how we could customize the experience to fit our wants. We had a 52 guest wedding downstairs in the Tiffany room and our guests were able to explore the exhibits throughout the night.
The coordinators and staff were excellent. They were quick to respond and always happy to help make our day perfect. Jessica was a superstar.
The food was excellent and we loved our tasting experience. Our guests were so amazed with the night and overall the pricing was a lot more affordable than one would expect for how nice everything was. We would not change a thing!
We had our wedding in June at Halim and it was spectacular! The Event Manager (Jessica) and her team helped us plan a wedding more beautiful than we could have ever imagined. Everyone was blown away! A number of guests told us it was the best wedding they have ever been to; and many said it was the best food they’ve had at a wedding by far.
We had the entire museum and the only hard part was picking back drops for pictures because there are so many incredible spots you will want photos taken absolutely everywhere ! There are gorgeous stained glass windows, stunning chandeliers, exquisite timepieces and amazing exhibits everywhere you turn .
Halim includes so much that I was able to plan our wedding in only five months while working full time. Halim included a cocktail hour with appetizers, dinner entrees, a full bar, linens, set up , and much more. The package we chose even included a wedding cake! Jessica was very responsive and helped us with any questions we had while also providing ideas, assistance and advice as we needed it. The day went so smoothly! We also liked the location as it is on a lovely tree lined street and easy for our guests to get to , park etc.
Thank you again so much for everything! I can’t imagine a better place for us to have had our wedding. Halim is exceptional and one of a kind .
We had our wedding on June 1, 2024 at Halim Time and Glass Museum and I can say with confidence that the wedding venue was unlike any other wedding! It wasn’t the run of the mill country club, the museum has clocks from all over the world and even an Egyptian exhibit with real sarcophagi! Halim was defiantly a unique awesome Venue. We had several wedding guests say that the dinner at Halim was the best wedding food they had ever had! Furthermore, Jessica (wedding coordinator) was extremely timely, helpful and accommodating. I highly recommend having your wedding here! FIVE STARS!
The venue first of all is just stunning. I was planning the event from California. So my only form of communication was via email or phone. And I wasn’t able to view the venue until the day of the event. However, the staff is absolutely amazing with communication. They are so accommodating to different diets and different events. We were able to figure out a menu for our event. Including having adult and children options. Even had an option for vegan diet. They set up the tables for you and the chairs. And it’s so nice not having to rent Chari chairs because they’re already included. The staff are also so helpful and great. They were on time with bringing the food out and the desserts. And replenishing anything that you needed. Just overall super helpful and friendly staff , the venue is stunning. The food was so delicious. And it’s nice to have a bar on the side for the event as well. I would totally recommend this again.
Their Events Manager Jessica Malatia and the entire staff were incredible throughout the initial planning process, in the weeks and days leading up to the wedding day with our many questions...and when the day finally arrived, it was spectacular. We can't imagine anything that they could have done better...the service was exceptional, the attention to detail, the food and beverages, the setup and layout, everything. So many guests told us how incredible the venue was and how everything went so smoothly. We are so very grateful for how our wedding day turned out. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND Halim Time & Glass Museum for your next special event. You won't be disappointed!
Not enough can be said about how amazing our wedding experience was at Halim. First off, the entire building is stunning. The collections, rooms, and rooftop are all spectacularly beautiful, and every time we visited to plan/rehearse it somehow felt even more impressive.
Jessica and her team were really the ones who made the whole planning process as streamlined and comprehensive as possible, though. All of our questions and concerns were addressed quickly and they were always completely accommodating with all of our requests.
We also really loved and appreciated that Halim provided so much more than just the venue space. The caterers through Halim produced absolutely wonderful food that our friends and family still rave about and the bartenders were fantastic. Everything down to the tables and place settings was perfect. We opted for the Tiffany package, but all of the options are great.
Our wedding was everything we had hoped for, and Halim definitely worked hard to make sure that was possible for us. We absolutely recommend Halim for anyone looking for a unique and timeless wedding experience.
Thank you, Jessica!!
Living in downtown Evanston, we had always walked by the museum and wondered what it looked like inside. We saw photos of events held there, and thought it looked beautiful. It was on our list of wedding venues to tour—we arrived, and immediately fell in love. The staff was extremely professional and worked efficiently throughout the process. They answered every single question, and accommodated us when annotating the contract, helping us schedule and track payments, preparing the timeline for the day of, and helped us figure out a LOT of last minute changes. They offered a time for a walk through and assistance with setup the day before, which made the day of the wedding so much less stressful. They take care of EVERYTHING; set up, tear down, linens, place settings, table numbers, water, wine, changing courses, bridal suite, the bar, you name it! We just had to walk in and enjoy.
The food was restaurant-quality – no banquet halls here! Many people emphatically said that was the best food they had ever had at a wedding. The menu tasting was a wonderful experience guided by the Chief of Staff, and included a personal visit from the chef near the end. There are many great food and wine options, it was hard to limit ourselves to just a few! The staff was very helpful in accommodating our guests with dietary restrictions and allergies; if one of the food choices would not work, they created a special alternative dish for them at no extra charge. They were so organized, they even remembered to not drizzle honey on one of our guest’s dessert. I checked with every single one of our guests who needed an accommodation, and every single one was fulfilled. We even had a guest who was arriving late; his food was kept warm and brought out immediately when he arrived.
As the bride and groom, we got to sit at the head table with our personal Head Waiter, Justin, who was awesome. He made sure our water and wine glasses were always full, and would personally deliver them to us throughout the night whether we were chatting at a table or in the middle of the dance floor. He said he was there if we needed anything, and he always jumped in to help with a smile.
Our guests repeatedly told us how beautiful, elegant, and classy the venue was. The Tiffany Room and first floor galleries were the perfect setup for cocktail hour, and everyone loved the gorgeous glasswork (and open bar). The Wisteria room, bathed in candlelight, with a view of the Chicago Skyline, was perfect for dinner and dancing. The staff was professional and helpful, and the entire event ran smoothly.
We specifically wanted a venue that would “do it all” so we didn’t have to, and Halim Time and Glass Museum absolutely delivered. We treasure the experience we had on our special day and thank Jessica and all of the staff for making it the perfect experience.
We chose Halim for an event we held in December of 2022. It is an absolutely beautiful venue. Their staff is kind, considerate, and extremely responsive. They were also exceptionally accommodating in helping us personalize the event to our needs. They handled everything from the floor plan and the event signage to the on-site A/V equipment and the valet parking with quality and professionalism. They are one of the most helpful and responsive vendors we've worked with - you will be in good hands with this venue!
From the minute that we did our initial walkthrough of the Halim Time & Glass museum, my now husband and I were taken aback by the exquisite beauty and meticulous design of the entire venue. We knew that the museum was truly a one-of-a-kind gem of a wedding venue just for it's aesthetics, but we were blown away by how perfect the wedding day experience was, thanks to the Halim staff. The entirety of the staff- from the bar tenders to the valet staff to the chef- were incredibly kind, professional, and went above and beyond to make our day perfect.
A review of the Halim Time & Glass Events team would not be complete without mentioning the impeccable work of the events directors, Jessica and Aaron. In the planning process, they answered every question and ensured that our vision would be executed flawlessly. On the day, they were prepared, extremely helpful, and truly went above and beyond to make sure our day was truly a magical experience for my husband and me. Even more importantly, we were so appreciative of the events team for expertly executing a welcoming and special guest experience.
Our guests were taken aback by how interesting and beautiful the museum was, and how welcoming the ballroom was for a wedding. Guests called the venue magical! I cannot say enough how positive our experience was in working with the museum for our wedding, and would HIGHLY recommend booking them for your wedding and any special event.
Thank you, to the entire Halim Staff, for exceeding our every expectation and for making our wedding day the most seamless, fun, and happy day that we could have ever imagined.
I cannot give Halim Time and Glass Museum and Jessica enough stars. From beginning to end, Jessica was there answering emails and phone calls, dealing with my endless questions and concerns and making sure I was comfortable with everything.
The actual wedding and reception was elegant and immaculate. Jessica and her team had everything drilled down to a T and made sure everything was perfect up the tiny miniscule details. All my guests were in awe of the amazing space and how attentive the staff was. My fiancé and I felt so special and taken care of on our wedding day it was unbelievable. We can't thank Jessica enough, for helping us achieve our perfect wedding day. Thank you!
The staff at Halim are among the kindest and most accommodating professionals that we've ever worked with. Throughout the process, they put us first as customers. They communicated all of the pertinent information, and were efficient in our interactions. They went above and beyond in helping our guests with special needs.
You won't find a better pair to coordinate your event with than Aaron and Jessica. They're just good people, in addition to being good at their jobs. They wanted this to be our special day, and delivered on all aspects, customer-service wise.
The food is surprisingly excellent! I say this because our experiences at weddings typically have yielded sub-par meals. Even a 5/10 meal is pretty rare at a wedding. Make SURE you select the spanakopita as an appetizer. They'll move.
The roof is very special. It's the perfect spot if you have a 100-130 person wedding.
Do NOT miss out when considering venues.
The team at Halim are amazing! They were professional and prompt to reply to emails. The food and drinks were outstanding, we received so many compliments. The location and venue are beautiful, I can't recommend them enough!
The museum is an absolutely fabulous place to host your wedding, and my husband and I are so happy we chose it! We wanted a unique venue with character, and the stunning decor and stained glass blew us and our guests away. They have full service catering in-house that is absolutely delicious as well as a gorgeous bridal suite perfect for getting ready and stealing a moment with your partner. We had to postpone and downsize our wedding due to COVID, and the event manager, Carolyn, was incredible throughout the process. Patient, prompt follow up, understanding, flexible, and working with us to prepare a range of different options and go through numerous changes to make our wedding as close as possible to what we envisioned. Needless to say, we never could have done it without her but her positivity and professionalism made all of the difficulties we faced so much easier to get through. She was such a pleasure to work with. Only a couple hiccups for the wedding day--it was one of the first hottest days of the summer and unfortunately it was a bit stuffy and hot inside the room for most of the night. Luckily our guests were dancing so much that most stopped noticing! There was also a mix up with entrees being brought to the wrong tables but that was quickly resolved and everyone got the entree they had pre-selected. The food was so delicious that this was also quickly forgotten. The rest of the dinner service was amazing and so was the staff. I believe we were only the second wedding hosted since the pandemic so I appreciate that there were likely a lot of new things the team was adjusting to. Mentioning these things so other brides can make sure to pay attention to these areas if they are important to them, but I hope it does not deter anyone from booking at this amazing venue.
We could not have been happier with our choice to have our wedding reception at the Halim. To start, the location is perfect for Evanston - close to hotels, outdoor picture locations, and bars/restaurants for guests in town for the weekend. The staff was so incredibly helpful. We worked with Jennifer and she legit took care of everything for us. We didn't have to worry about a thing day of. Our guests were raving about the food. And they even let us customize a buffet menu with all of our favorite foods. We also loved how new the space felt. It doesn't have a banquet feel like most older reception venues, Our 125 guests fit perfectly in the Wisteria room. We would recommend this venue to anyone looking for a reception venue in the Evanston area! Thanks again to the Halim!
This is a beautiful venue with an optional rooftop deck which we used for our cocktail hour before dinner. This deck has a view of Lake Michigan and downtown Chicago. The Wisteria room has floor to ceiling windows on two sides with an outdoor balcony and features a stained glass dome. The catering is done in house and the food was excellent. We received many compliments on the food. It was just as delicious as it was at the tasting. Both the catering manager and the wedding coordinator were very attentive and promptly acted upon any requests that were made. I could not have asked for a more perfect reception.
We recently attended a relative's wedding at the Halim Time & Glass Museum, and cannot rave enough about the experience! The venue was so lovely; can't wait to see our professional photos taken in the beautiful Wisteria Room. The staff was very friendly and the food was just delicious! Truly a unique spot in downtown Evanston.
This venue is absolutely beautiful and the staff were incredibly helpful. The catering staff were very attentive to us and our guests the day of our wedding day, and so friendly and accommodating as we planned our menu. We worked with Paulette to coordinate, and she was always willing to jump in and help out with her expertise and knowledge of the flow of events, and managing people and traffic and meals and music and flowers. Overall, we had a great experience and got so many compliments on our venue choice from our guests.
We chose the Halim Time and Glass Museum for our reception and we couldn't be happier. The entire experience, from our first tour and negotiations to the day-of were smooth, easy, and professional. We would recommend it to anyone looking for an elegant venue that takes care of almost everything!
Paulette, our contact at Halim, was helpful, communicative, and flexible throughout the entire process. We felt taken care of throughout the planning process. The staff the night of the wedding were outstanding as well - there were a lot of staff around to help and all were courteous and professional.
The packages that Halim offers include almost everything, which made our wedding relatively stress-free. The only things we needed to take care of were the DJ, centerpieces, and photographer.
The food is catered by the museum and it was delicious. Some of our guests commented on the amount of food offered - it was a lot! The service was great, too.
The venue is beautiful and doesn't much (if any) additional decor. It's so elegant and our guests were really impressed. Our reception was on the fourth floor Wisteria room.
I wouldn't change anything about our experience with Halim. We'd choose them again for any event again in the future!
