The staff worked directly with each of our vendors, taking the weight off our shoulders and ensuring everything was seamlessly coordinated. The quality, attention to detail, & professionalism were well worth the price.
The Planning Pod website included in the package was a fantastic tool! It was easy to use and made organizing guest lists, seating arrangements, schedules, and invoices incredibly convenient. We felt fully prepared thanks to the resources they provided.
The venue itself is stunning, offering both indoor and outdoor ceremony options that are beautiful year-round. There were separate, unique areas for the bride and groom to prep before the big day, which was a lovely touch. We also had many options for customizing the layout, table settings, and décor, allowing us to truly make the space our own.
As far as the food goes, MAJOR hit! The homemade meals prepared by the onsite staff were phenomenal—many guests, including a few foodies, raved about it being the best wedding meal they’ve experienced.
The package we chose included everything we needed, from the DJ and dessert presentation to drinks and accommodations. The flexibility Halverson House offered was invaluable, especially when we had to change from an outdoor to an indoor ceremony just the day before due to weather. They made sure everything ran smoothly, and the team was accommodating in every way.
Other thoughtful touches included a guest bus to transport people to and from nearby hotels, a golf cart for guests with mobility issues, and plenty of parking. The decor, including tables, signs, blankets, and more, was beautiful, and we were able to pick up everything a few days later without hassle. They even took care of all setup and takedown, which allowed us and our families to relax and enjoy the day.
We couldn't have asked for a better experience, and we wholeheartedly recommend Halverson House to any couple looking for a wedding venue that combines beauty, professionalism, and exceptional service.

rency, everything (decor, set up, tear down, furniture, etc) was included in the venue rental and the food was exceptionally done onsite and well worth the per plate price.
Joi’s communication was excellent and she made everything run smoothly even handling a lot of the outside vendor (photographer, painter, and florist) logistical questions.
We had an outdoor ceremony, but even their inside venue was setup in case the weather turned and was equally as beautiful as the outside.
I thoroughly recommend this venue to anyone!

tely stunning. We booked the entire weekend. Friday for our rehearsal dinner, Saturday for our wedding, and even stayed the night with breakfast included on Sunday.
Joi and her husband were beyond helpful and truly amazing throughout the whole process. The included décor was beautiful, the food was incredible, and the service was outstanding. We received so many compliments from our guests about how gorgeous the venue is.
On my wedding day, everything went so smoothly thanks to Joi. She took every worry and detail off my plate—and my mom’s as well—so we could both fully enjoy the day together. If anything came up, Joi immediately handled it and made it stress-free. She went above and beyond to bring our vision to life and did absolutely everything we asked.
We truly cannot thank Halverson House enough. We’ve also attended their beer gardens and always have such an enjoyable time. Whether for a wedding or any event, this place is nothing short of amazing. We cant wait to go back!

truly has thought of everything and is super helpful for all things big or small, we didn’t hire a wedding planner and she took care of all those responsibilities. She is also very easy to reach by email or phone which made the process go smoothly. She met with us a few times before the wedding and went over all details to truly make the day our own and bring our vision to life.
We used a lot of their recommended vendors (photographer, DJ, florist, makeup/ hair) and they all were great.
The property is beautiful and unique, it definitely fit the vintage / romantic / timeless vibe I was going for. Having a backup beautiful indoor option for the ceremony brought peace of mind, though we had awesome weather.
I learned very soon into planning that I was not a DIY bride, and luckily Halverson house has so much decor free for couples to use. The staff was very helpful designing the table setups from my vision, setting up and taking down all the decor. I used mostly all HH decor which saved a ton of money.
The food at HH is EXCELLENT, we got so many compliments from our guests. Everything I’ve eaten there has been delicious. Their onsite chef Kevin is very talented. We attended a few decor showcases and tastings prior to the wedding as well as the Father’s Day beer garden event which gave us a better feel for HH and helped us meet vendors. We felt the price for the venue and catering was great with all that was included and the high quality amenities and service.
The day would not have been as relaxing or as successful for us at a different venue. Mike and Joi Alex (and their staff) have event planning down to a science, and we admire their hardworking family. We will definitely be back for more events at HH!

it’s perfect. I am not lying one bit when I say that Mike, Joi, the staff, and chef Kevin took away any stress I could have had in the wedding planning process. They did all of the decorations, down to the itinerary, card box, and seating chart! They did all of the set up, all of the take down, and all of the cooking/baking that you’d typically have to find a caterer for. EVERYTHING was done in house, all I did was show up for a showcase and supper night, where I was able to put together a mock table of the decorations I liked, as well as trying the delicious food and narrowing down what I wanted for wedding day. Once I made those decisions, Joi and her team took it from there! The online portal for tracking guest RSVP’s, and being able to click and drag them to the tables I wanted them sat at was so nice! Joi then took the seating chart I made on that portal and made it into a reality. I truly could not think of a more put together operation. All of my guests raved about the gorgeous venue and delicious food, most of them saying it was the best wedding they’ve ever been to and the best wedding food they’d ever had!
We stayed on grounds at the air b&b and were spoiled with the breakfast and brunch provided. It was very nice getting to sleep on grounds and not having to worry about driving anywhere!

o Z with their service! They went above and beyond any wedding planner. The only thing we brought was a DJ, a photographer, and flowers. And oh what a beautiful venue! The grounds offered not only beauty at every turn and multiple ceremony site choices, but also areas for guests to play games, have cocktails, and socialize. Every part of the property created the perfect backdrop to our wedding photos. I would highly recommend Halverson House for your wedding or party event. We can't wait to head back for their Beer Garden and Farm to Table events.

where the bride and bridesmaids typically get ready, the Granary, where the Groom and his side typically get ready, the gorgeous grounds, and of course, the historic barn. The staff is very responsive and helpful, and Joi provides day-of coordinating that helped everything move along very smoothly. It was pretty much a hassle-free day with all the work she and the rest of the staff put in. All of our guests were so impressed with the grounds, the barn, and the staff. There's a little bit of something for everyone, including the option for outdoor yard games, a fire pit, and so much more. Their in-house catering was incredible, and our friends and family have been raving about the taco bar and late night pizzas. We couldn't have hoped for a more perfect day in a more perfect place.

The coordinator checks in with you, ensures that you are doing okay and really cares about their venue.
AND, I can honestly say it was some of THE BEST wedding dinner's I've ever had. I never know what to expect when I have a dinner at a wedding, and BOY-O-BOY did their food exceed my expectations. From the very first bite, I was hooked.
Overall, if you are looking for a professional staff and a wonderful barn venue, you have found the place.

Everything from the table setups to the barn decor to the heat in the barn helped our guests have a fantastic time. If you can afford it, we highly recommend the "wedding weekend" package, so that you can relax and be on site the whole weekend. most amazing and caring group of people you will ever have the pleasure of meeting. What they have done is created a venue that deserves more than the word "venue" implies because it's so much more than that. It's an oasis, a haven, something you might only imagine in your dreams.
The Alex family is continually investing in the space because every time we came for a visit there was something new: hand-made farm tables, sitting areas, audio systems, a community garden, fresh flowers, you name it. Beyond the property's breathtaking physical features, are the people at the heart of what makes Halverson House the place-of-choice for any couple or family looking to celebrate. The Alex family makes you feel at home every time you set foot on the property. Everyone at our wedding kept comparing the place to a movie, or novel or fairytale. I promise it's not too good to be true. It is very real.
Joi and her family have a gift and they're using that gift to bring love and happiness to couples like my husband and I. At every turn, the Alex family anticipated our every need. When the reception was over, we returned to the house to find everything was immaculate. Somehow, I swear as if by magic, everything had been perfectly cleaned and prepared for us. The next morning we awoke to the smell of homemade quiches and baked french toast. All of our decor pieces were already packed up and waiting for us in the barn. It was all so seamless.
I think people use the word priceless too often when describing weddings. We spoke with other vendors who tossed around phrases like "this is the single most important day" and "you only get to do this once." But what Halverson House did was great a one-of-a-kind experience that will live on and be a part of our lives for years to come, because we plan on returning to Halverson House for our anniversaries, for family celebrations, and whenever they host events because they're worth it. Every inch of the property has been crafted with care. They're the people you want in your lives. What they've created you simply cannot put a price tag on.

Joi, Mike & their amazing family & staff made us feel like part of the family right away. They made sure every single detail of our wedding was perfect, and we cannot thank them enough because our day was nothing less than that. The entire day was completely stress-free! They truly care about you, and their passion for bringing families together is just so amazing. They have created an absolute gorgeous venue and have worked so hard for this.

When we first met them, there was little more than a beautiful, historic house and some run down farm buildings. They talked through their vision with us, and we decided they were the right fit. They held true to their word and did everything in their power to make the wedding a perfect event. When they talk about comfortably elegance, as they put it, they truly mean that they are investing themselves in your event, and are willing to go above and beyond to make sure your wedding goes smoothly and according to plan, while also releasing the stress from you on that special day. From the moment you arrive on your wedding day you given a comfortable space, brides maids and grooms men each having their own building. Brunch is prepared for the wedding parties when they arrive, so there is no worrying about what to eat on that day. That is just one example of how the Alex’s truly put your comfort first. They also provide a skilled wedding coordinator that will take the rest of the stress from you on that day. You will be able to enjoy the moment and truly immerse yourself in your wedding. and beautiful place to have our wedding, as their vision was amazing and we knew they would get it perfect. Our wedding was in July of 2020 so we had many changes due to covid 19 and all the changing rules, through all of that they were very communicative about any changes and potential issues so everyone was on the same page. The owners are such friendly, open, caring people, and it was a joy to go through the process with them. They were always willing to answer any questions or concerns we had throughout the entire process, especially in the last month. We called them so many times in the last weeks, and even the couple days before and they were always happy to answer whatever last minute question we had. They made our day wonderful and go smoothly. Everything about the venue was gorgeous and so comfortable and fun! They had everything they said for the day of, setting up the outdoor ceremony, setting up the tables how we picked to arrange, putting out the decor we got, having a great space for the guys and the girls to get ready separately, and they had an amazing brunch for the wedding party that morning. I am so happy we chose to have our wedding there and that it all came together wonderfully with their help. They had so many perfect places to take pictures, as their whole venue looked wonderful. I would recommend this to anyone getting married, they were so great to work with and they have such an elegant, comfortable and wonderful venue!
