Hamilton Loft is a one-of-a-kind venue with a modern Brooklyn loft feel that's woven with historical character. Our flexible space makes it a perfect setting for life's celebrations, corporate gatherings, and more! Located in the heart of Brooklyn's Red Hook neighborhood, the beautiful loft space features high ceilings, wooden beams, and breathtaking skylights. You're welcome to utilize the gorgeous furnishings and giant plants that come with the space, or bring your own unique vision to life. The venue also features a huge on-site warehouse with hundreds of additional decorative rentals, including lanterns, lounge seating, artwork, and much more. With our house tables and chairs for up to 150 people, Hamilton Loft has made it easy to plan your celebration.
Facilities and Capacities
Our venue offers 6,000 square feet of wide-open indoor space. Architectural highlights include original brick walls, vaulted ceilings framed by reclaimed wood trusses, skylights sprinkled throughout the building, and glass doors for natural light. Our main room can adapt to the ceremony and reception alike, with a maximum capacity of 300 people standing and up to 150 people seated comfortably. Just off the main room is the cocktail lounge, which boasts a reclaimed 20-foot mahogany bar and accommodates 150 people standing or 60 people seated. Tucked past our cocktail lounge are two private suites where you and your partner can get ready for your big day. Meanwhile, our 6,000 square foot courtyard is just outside the main doors of our inside area. It allows for your wedding festivities to extend outdoors. Alternatively, it can be used as parking for special wedding party transportation.

Working with Steve at Hamilton Loft was one of the best parts of our wedding planning process. Steve and his team are so thoughtful, flexible, and honest during planning. Frankly, working with Steve was one of the only parts of the planning process that wasn’t stressful because of how professional and experienced he is. You can tell how much pride their team has in creating thoughtful, tailored, and special experiences for every single event they have. Steve’s team entertained many of our specific requests regarding the bar package and event layout, considered a few crazy ideas we had, allowed us to conduct multiple planning walkthroughs, and supported us every step of the way.
Something I think is worth mentioning is how many improvements to the venue they made in the year from when we signed the contract to our Wedding Day… almost a different venue entirely! They added so much greenery, an outdoor pergola, fresh paint, and more. It goes to show how much pride they have in creating the best possible venue for whatever event people want to plan. We’d recommend Hamilton Loft to anyone looking to plan a truly memorable event!

Our guests were so taken care of that multiple people approached us on wedding day and days following to pass on how amazing the staff was. Not only that, but the staff said yes to every request we had. We really felt like we were their highest priority on our wedding day and they were a huge part of making the day feel truly special and perfect. Steve is as good as they come. He truly did everything he could to ensure we had the best day possible, from helping us with vendors to cranking out espressos for the espresso martinis on the morning of our wedding because, and I quote “we don’t use that fake shit”.
They have a great collection of furniture and accessories you’re able to use and had invested a ton in the space since we booked adding lighting, furniture and plants which we’d have otherwise had to rent.
The bar selection was fantastic and the bar team Steve brought in were equally great and crushed it all night.

ion, the venue really turned out to be perfect, both visually and functionally. We had just over 200 guests in attendance, and we were able to make the best use of the indoor/outdoor space, the dance floor, bar and lounge space, etc. The multiple rooms and areas made it helpful for moving traffic and keeping the flow of the night going. Furthermore, the venue upgrades that Steve and Hamilton Loft made between when we booked the venue and the day of our wedding, all contributed to the guest experience and charm/comfort of the space (e.g., newly installed bistro lighting indoors and outdoors, ivy along the perimeter fence, new pergola, upgraded lounge furniture, etc.). From the billboards to the exposed bricks and white-washed walls, there is a "Brooklyn meets Cape Cod vibes"...making it both cool and classy.
The entire team at Hamilton's Loft, led by Steve, was highly professional and impressive. We especially appreciated that Hamilton Loft, as opposed to many other venues, provided much of our needs in-house, including tables and chairs, lounge furniture, plants, lighting, floor plan design, and more, saving us money and hassle. As for outside vendors, we worked with Italiana Foods to cater a floating-style dinner (utilizing their cute novelty pizza truck for appetizers and late-night), DJ Ben Goldfarb for the playlist (he's incredibly easy-going and collaborative), Buds of Brooklyn for floral (arrangements were simple and beautiful), and Kristyn Miller for her gorgeous photography. Special kudos goes to Phoebe, their in-house coordinator, who was super professional and knowledgeable.
Overall, working with Hamilton loft was very easy. The team is incredibly responsive and flexible, matching our vision for the night. We wouldn't have changed a thing…it was a beautiful venue and wedding, and an epic party!

t the end of April 2025, they were so responsive, flexible, and accommodating to any question/request we made throughout the process. In an industry where many event spaces and vendors can feel like they are just focused on upcharging you on every little thing, that was not at all the case with Steve and the Hamilton's Loft team.
In terms of the venue itself, the main space was the perfect size for our wedding of 135 people. We got ready together on site in 1 of the 2 dressing rooms (lots of natural lights, mirrors, couches) and we used the second dressing room for a small Chinese tea ceremony with about 10 people prior to the ceremony for all of our guests. Our ceremony was comfortable in the main space with about 130 chairs. We loved the side room used for the cocktail hour (large bar, lots of plants, and they have many optional couches/chairs for that space as well). The bartenders were awesome - somehow there was never a long line at the bar. We had a band with a relatively large footprint as well as a large dance floor during the reception but the room still felt very open.
We would choose Hamilton's Loft over and over again!

We had about 120 guests and an 8 piece band, with plenty of space for a dance floor and seating inside. Working with Steve, the events manager, throughout the planning process, was great. He is extremely responsive and professional. Any questions we had, he provided a speedy response as well as recommendations for vendors or ways to utilize the space. call and email quickly, they were extremely flexible with our schedule, getting into the space, accommodating the deliveries and vendors, and went way above and beyond to help make the day come together. They were able to flex a little bit with the bar package so I could get one of my favorite cocktails on the menu, were happy to help us out with furniture, and at one point when we were dealing with an electrical issue (with our equipment, not there's) they even brought in an electrician to help us resolve it at the last minute!
They have a roster of experienced vendors that we tapped into for lighting and music who knew the space well, worked quickly, and delivered an incredible experience to the guests. The sun came in through the skylights and large windows during the ceremony and when the sun went down and the lighting came on, the space absolutely came alive for the party. The pictures are great, but even they don't do it justice.
Steve knows the area well and was helpful advising on parking, afterparty spots, had great ideas for food and dessert options, and was an all around enthusiastic collaborator. I could ramble about this further, but suffice to say, they do an exceptional job at being responsive and flexible, and they brainstormed and collaborated with us on ideas for the event and were happy to help us with solutions and access to vendors and experts.

Steve was easy to work with and very accommodating. Whenever we had questions he was quick to hop on a call or reply to an email, and happy to help. The venue is beautiful with tons of light and vaulted ceilings, and the exposed beams were a perfect way for our florist to warm up the space with greens. Plants are also included in the rental and it’s a nice touch to the warehouse chic look. Honestly, we love the way everything turned out and we couldn’t believe how stunning the place looked. The in house bar service kept the drinks flowing and everyone had a really great time dancing. Though we had a little rain early on, thankfully it cleared up so we could take advantage of the outdoor space. The Mister Softee truck we had was a big hit! We would definitely recommend Shell’s Loft for your wedding or big event :)

Amazingly, we were able to put everything together for 100 guests below our budget. On the day of the wedding, the space absolutely delivered. The fixtures, ranging from natural wood to exposed brick, provided a touch that'd be hard to come by elsewhere. We also were able to easily transform the venue into the aesthetic we wanted, and all the natural light allowed for such great photos. l with exposed brick and featured some of the large plants available at the venue. For something that sounds so simplistic with so little to set up, it looked absolutely stunning. The setup of the venue allowed guests to wander between multiple rooms, all while staying in relatively close quarters (making it surprisingly easy to find someone) and on one floor (very wheelchair accessible). The floor plan is unique, but with that comes flexibility to make it your own. For a venue that photographs beautifully, it somehow looks even better in person.
Steve, who we worked with throughout the process, was an absolute gem. He offered great advice for planning the bar package offered through the venue and was focused on finding the right solution to any question that came his way. It’s quick to see what a great guy Steve is, and all the more confirmation hearing it from every vendor that I worked with.
One big benefit is all of the flexibility offered with outside vendors. While the venue has a list of ‘recommended vendors’ (several of whom I went with and highly, highly recommend), those aren’t the only options to choose from, unlike some of the other venues nearby. I would highly recommend hosting any event at Shell’s Loft Red Hook.

It lets a lot of natural light in during the day, and has slightly dim light which were very pleasing for the evening portion. We had a few tables outside but didn't really set up the outdoor area (parking lot); however it is certainly large enough to be put to use or even be the main location of the event.
We want to give Steve, the manager, a huge shoutout. He was VERY kind, respectful, and accommodating. He guided us through the whole process, gave us his advice and insight, and was there throughout the whole event making sure things were running smoothly. We could not thank him enough!
