One of the worst dining experiences of my life - without question. Made a reservation for my wife's birthday, specifically mentioning this in the reservation. The food quality was...
on the same level as diner food. Abysmal at best. Extraordinarily salty for every dish. We were seated outside and attacked by bees at every course. Prex fixe menu forcing us into committing to a dessert for each of us. No liquor license therefore had to buy a bottle of wine for $46 from the bar next door. Meal ends. No Birthday candle or celebratory message. Bill arrives: $240 for 3 ppl - does not include tip or alcohol. I tipped $20. Total with wine was roughly $300 for 3 ppl. To add insult to injury, the restaurant only accepts cash or venmo - no credit card. Upon leaving, I was accosted by the server who asked why I didn't leave a better tip..? WTF, is wrong with society today for someone in that position to feel it is ok to approach a customer and demand more money/feedback after such an experience..? What a horrible, horrible experience. This restaurant should not exist.
FIVE-star FOOD and SERVICE! If you are looking to host a special occasion unlike any other, look no further! Nestled along the Canal in Lambertville, you will find this amazing and...
fabulous hidden gem that is sure to WOW your guests!
As an Event Planner and Wedding Coordinator, I have worked with many clients who have hosted their special occasions at this charming restaurant. If only walls could talk, oh the stories they would tell. The beauty inside and out of this historic building with multiple rooms to offer also including their outside courtyard oasis, essential for hosting a magnificient outside gathering for your very special event, Hamiltons Grill Room ambiance certainly stands out among the rest in the area. Each of my clients have been beyond thrilled with their entire personalized experience from beginning to end, which is why I wanted to bring awareness to others looking for the perfect venue. Hamilton's Grill Room Manager, Lauren was incredible to work with. She made the booking process so easy and was extremely accommodating in making sure each of my client’s needs and expectations were met! Lauren worked closely with award winning Chef and Owner Brian Held to design and create the most perfect menus catering to all special requests and truly bringing each of my client’s vision to life with their passion for delivering extraordinary dining experiences. The FOOD WAS AMAZING- (we didn't want it to end!) Fresh, locally sourced and made to order, even their desserts are baked on premise! - You couldn't ask for anything more. Oh, and did I mention they are a BYOB? Perfect for Bridal Showers, sipping champagne from a customized mimosa bar with a mouthwatering brunch display, or toasting the night away at a Rehearsal Dinner with fantastic bottles of wine paired with offerings from their fresh and seasonal raw bar and entrees cooked to perfection- Absolutely amazing, Hamiltons Grill Room will not disappoint! As a professional in the industry, I would highly recommend this phenomenal restaurant and venue!!! Thank you, Hamiltons Grill Room and Staff, for creating beyond exceptional and memorable experiences for my clients, for providing high quality professional levels of service, and for your FANTASTIC FOOD! I look forward to working together again!
