Hammer Dulcimer (Modern/Classical)

I wanted a very timeless, ethereal feeling for my ceremony and Garrett definitely delivered. We had a celtic handfasting and the ancient quality to the sound of the music really made it feel spiritual and majestic. What can I say? I wouldn't have had it any other way. It was perfect! My husband and I were looking for an artist who would create an atmosphere of mystery, anticipation, and exquisite beauty through sound, for our wedding, and we were not disappointed! Garrett's taste for what music to play while our guests were gathering was perfect. We had met and discussed some ideas before the wedding, and I asked Garrett to go with what he thought would be the best - I had told him what we were envisioning, and I trusted Garrett's judgement in song selection . He was also great with learning a song that was special for me and my husband. Garrett's choice of music for the pre-ceremony time was wonderful; our ceremony had several special moments that we wanted accompanied with music, and Garrett created a soundtrack for our ceremony that was stunning. He was able to play softly enough to not interfere with what has happening, but the music carried us along and crescendoed at just the right moments. My husband and I highly recommend Garrett - the hammer dulcimer is an instrument that conveys emotion in a unique way and we were so happy Garrett was a part of our most special day.

We got married outside at a location with a beautiful view of Mt. Shasta and we wanted music that could accompany the surroundings. Garrett's work in the hammer dulcimer was a perfect addition to our day. His mastery the dulcimer demonstrates the range of sounds that can be simple and serene or complex and powerful. He was very professional and easy to work with throughout the whole process. I was not sure how to explain what we wanted, but he listened to our vision for the day and arranged the songs accordingly (he even came up with some original arrangements for our favorite songs). He was able to explain and breakdown his equipment/sound needs in a manner that was easy for non-musicians to understand. He helped to take the stress out of having live music at an outside site. We couldn't of been happier with the final product. The music did not over power, it was the platform for each point of our ceremony. Garrett is passionate about the dulcimer and music. His artistry adds a wonderful romantic atmosphere to the event. We strongly recommend him.

Garrett Viggers was outstanding to work with in preparing for our special day as well as on the day itself.
