Our wedding at Travaasa Hana was more than we could have ever dreamed of. From day one, Hubert made every decision stress free and took care of all of the details so that we could just enjoy our special day. After fourteen years together, my husband and I decided to get married and wanted a small intimate wedding. Hubert put together an amazing multiday package for us in a private ocean view cottage including spa treatments and horseback rides. When we decided to have our dinner in private on our lanai instead of the restaurant, Hubert went above and beyond decorating our cottage with the most beautiful tropical flowers, soft music and a candlelit dinner setting. The entire property was so picturesque, from open pastureland to spectacular sunrises over the ocean. Its elegant and spacious grounds make you feel as if you’re in the country unlike the big corporate resorts. My husband still claims that this was the most relaxed weekend of his life. Aloha and thank you to the entire Travaasa ohana. We cannot wait to return!

My husband and I first visited Travaasa Hana a few years back for a one night stay, and we fell in love with it. The property and the surrounding town of Hana is one of the most beautiful, peaceful and magical places we have ever visited. The resort is very quiet, and as we wandered about the grassy grounds we felt as if we had the entire place to ourselves. Situated on a cliff overlooking the ocean, with horses grazing from sunrise to sunset, it has a natural, graceful, unspoiled appeal, which makes you feel as if you have stepped back in time. It was an easy decision for us to get married there, as we knew it would be beautiful. But Hubert and the staff at Travaasa truly went above and beyond to make our wedding special. The staff is incredibly gracious, warm and sincere. Not only did Hubert make the wedding planning easy and stress-free, he was also very charming and fun to work with because of his great sense of humor! He made the choices for the ceremony and the reception very clear and manageable, and referred local vendors for everything from hair & makeup, to flowers and photography. Nothing was overwhelming or difficult to plan, so that we were able to focus on enjoying the day and our time together with our families. The day of the wedding, all of the vendors and hotel staff were so generous with their efforts to make things memorable. The ceremony was performed by CJ, who also dedicated a song to us the next night during one of his regular performances in the restaurant. The reception dinner was held on the lanai of our cottage, which the staff decorated with handmade strings of flowers and tiki torches. Every detail was thoughtful, personal, and graceful. We are looking forward to returning to Hana and hope to visit again and again throughout our lives. It’s an exceptional place that will always hold a very special place in our hearts!

My sister and her husband decided to do a destination wedding, just intimate with immediate families. And, I cannot imagine a more perfect place to do it than at the Travaasa Hana in Maui. The only thing we'd change would be to have stayed longer :). It was perfect in every way. Hubert took care of us from the start of the planning and thought of every single detail, handled with care and generosity. The rest of staff -- from bellmen, to Hula instructors, to waitstaff, and beyond -- were so welcoming and attentive. The venue is just perfect with complete elegance but still a feel of authentic Hawaii, everywhere we visited after Travaasa paled in comparison. Thank you Hubert and the team at Travaasa for giving my sister the magical wedding -- it was like a fairytale in Hana. We can't wait to return!

Simply Stunning!!!! My husband and I tripped across the Travaasa Hana in our search for a wedding venue on Maui. Something did not feel right about all the "big name" hotels and locations. We really wanted some more personal and private. We immediately engaged with Hubert at the Travaasa, and from our first phone conversation, I knew it was right. As we had never been to the venue and had heard concerns about the Hana Highway, my husband and I flew from NY for 2-3 days about 8 months ahead of time to make sure that the venue/drive would be ok for our guests. As soon as we stepped on property we knew it was the place for us. The hotel staff are beyond amazing! They go out of their way everyday to try to turn your desires into realities. The location is one of the most breathtaking places that I have been to in the Hawaiian Islands. The hotel is designed to focus on the beauty of the lush and wonderful nature of the island. Every room has an outdoor patio or balcony that really allows you to just be where you are and let all the worries from your crazy, hectic day to day melt away. Our wedding was held in April 2015 and we had approximately 20 guests that attended. I am not the best planner, so Hubert really had me covered!! He is on site at the Travaasa and knows how to achieve everything that you might want within varying budget ranges. We loved that he helped us coordinate with local vendors in order to support the community in which we were coming to. We couldn't have been more thrilled. All of the vendors were AMAZING to work with and gave us many different options to choose from. When it came time for the actual event, I could not have been more happy!!! As I said, I'm not a good planner, and I don't necessarily think of little details, so Hubert took care of it, without even having to ask me. There were so many little touches/details that he created. It was a day/night that we will never forget!!! I just loved that it seemed as if he knew what I wanted/needed without even having to ask! From as soon as I started to move about in the morning Hubert seemed to have a tracking beacon on me and knew where I was and would remind me of the timeline and let me know where he was and how to get a hold of him at any time. We brought with us our own hair/makeup team, and there was a small salon on site that he was able to get up and running for us to get ready in. From there he managed to keep us right on time through the ceremony, pictures, cocktail hour and reception. We held our reception poolside on property and it worked out beautifully. I have to admit I was nervous at first. The staff at the reception let no glass go empty and went above and beyond meet every request that our guests or my husband and I had. The property is very large, which contributes to the beauty, however after a long day of festivities for all, no one really wanted to walk back to their rooms. We didn't even have to worry as there was a golf cart lineup like taxi cabs at an airport waiting to drive all the guests back to their rooms. As I mentioned, every detail of comfort for ourselves and our guests was thought of! The experience that we had at the Travaasa with the location and more importantly the staff has left a permanent indentation on everyone's heart that came to the wedding. Over a year later, everyone still comments about wanting to go back. My husband and I plan to make a yearly trip, because it means so much to us!

I came across photos of Travaasa Hana by accident and fell in love! This is the place I wanted to be wed! Communication over email went perfectly fine and the wonderful folks at Travaasa will go above and beyond to make it your perfect day. They really strive to make your stay the best experience and they are always one step ahead of you. From little gifts in the room to even trimming a path through the horse pasture to safely get to our wedding site; I never had to worry about anything. My guests were always taken care of by the resort staff and easily found something to do. I honestly could not have been happier and our intimate wedding could not have been more perfect! Hana itself is gorgeous and it will show in your photos. It is truly an amazing experience for your wedding and/or honeymoon. Mahalo Hubert and all our friends at Travaasa. My husband and I will never forget you all. A piece of our heart was left in Hana and we'll have to go search for it again.

The Ohana at Travaasa went absolutely above and beyond when it came to planning our event - or should I says events? We spent an entire week on the property and no request was ever considered too much. They helped us to hire amazing local talent (musicians, florists, photographers) and were able to arrange for quite frankly some pretty high-maintenance last minute requests! The property lends itself to many perfect locations for events. There is nowhere that you can look that has a bad view. The large lawn in the middle of the property had this enormous and gorgeous blooming red tree that was used for the backdrop for all of the photos. Imagine using a tree as backdrop, when you are surrounded by ocean views!! That is how insanely beautiful this place is. Hamoa Beach is famous for being one of the most beautiful beaches in the world and rightfully so. Amazingly picturesque. Water can be a bit rough, but such a nice temperature! The hotel was able to arrange for a cocktail party at the beach with very little notice and it was perfect!! Even when it started pouring rain in the middle of the event - everyone came away laughing. Of course, the hotel knowing this could happen - had brought umbrellas! There was plenty to do for all of the guests, but really this place is about enjoying nature and each other. The hotel was just finishing a fairly intensive renovation while we were there, that did not effect our time there, but we did see some of the newly renovated rooms and they are stunning. I think what we love about this place is that it feels like true old Hawaii. The people that work there are local people who have lived on this remote part of the island for generations. The architecture becomes part of the landscape - no high rises here! Travaasa or "Hana Ranch" which is what it was called for ever and ever is a truly special place and it was a perfect location for our event. By the time we left the property, we felt like we were part of the Hana ohana! All I can say is thank you!
