n Hana on Maui. It seemed simple enough to us at the time: we would pick a menu and minimally decorate the already-gorgeous property. We believed we could just plan everything ourselves. We thought 40 people would attend but our confirmed guest list swelled to 70 people. We were about two months shy of our big day and were feeling very overwhelmed – we knew we were in over our heads. The event manager at Travaasa suggested we call Hana Wedding Co for help with the lighting. This phone call would end our days of wedding planning chaos; we started the call inquiring about renting lighting and ended it hiring our miracle worker, Alana! Alana moved quickly and communicated clearly and often with us. She provided detailed spreadsheets, flower arrangement and decoration ideas, ‘Welcome Dinner’ planning, and, of course, lighting options. Our Welcome Dinner at the Hana Bay Pavilion was decorated and catered to perfection – we were amazed by the quality of the food and service. Alana went above and beyond coordinating a stunning reception at the Travaasa Planation House. It was even more beautiful than we had hoped. Alana was very mindful of our budget, while always being professional and a kind partner in the entire process. We can’t say enough about Alana – many of our guests were impressed with “Mighty Mouse” (as Alana is affectionately known locally), too! There is no doubt Alana is very passionate about her work and she is genuinely invested in her clients’ happiness. We always will look back to this special time in our life and forever feel so grateful to have had Alana work with us.
