married there as well. It goes without saying that this was the best trip yet! We stayed in a Premium Ocean Front room, and the view was second to none. It's like you're IN the ocean. Absolutely gorgeous! Additionally, the staff was polite and accommodating as usual. We had a somewhat large party of family and friends, and they all had as good of, if not a better, time than us which is saying A LOT. In fact, several of them have told me that we should all go back next year for our anniversary trip. It may become an annual trip for everyone that attended the wedding (35 guests). Snorkeling at Tunnels, walking every morning on the beach (saw a monk seal!), hiking part of the Napali Coast trail, and spending hours by the pool were all amazing. Each day was better than the last. We were lucky enough to work with Lanae, HCR's wedding coordinator. She provided so many excellent recommendations, was easy to communicate with, and she kept a calm and cool demeanor throughout (which is mandatory for my personality type). She was absolutely fantastic. Mediterranean Gourmet (the restaurant adjacent to HCR) catered our reception dinner, and that was second to none as well. I really don't have enough positive things to say about this property. I have legitimately been (maybe literally) depressed since we left- and that was a solid month ago. I aspire to go here twice a year every year for the rest of my life. It's my favorite place on Earth. And I'm picky : ) Everyone should experience it at least once.

ct winds) keeps you very cool. We also ran the fan just because we're used to it at home, so we did close the balcony door a bit. Worth the extra $ for oceanfront (premium)! Very friendly staff...thanks to Juan for setting us up with our activities and atmosphere of friendliness! The romance package is a big plus and the oceanside massages were wonderful. The room was clean and grounds well cared for. Housekeeping was every third day and done very well! Close enough to town while remote enough for a genuine local Hawaiian feel. It was worth the few extra minutes drive to be staying on the North Shore, a beautifully spirited area!!!
