We cannot say enough great things about Jes and Chris, a truly incredible husband and wife photography dream team! I first fell in love with their photography after following them on instagram, and after our initial phone call we knew we had to book them. Not only did they capture ALL the most perfect moments (during our engagement session and wedding day), but they also have the most calming presence which is exactly what we needed for our day. They make you feel so comfortable and at ease in front of the camera to get naturally posed portraits, but they also manage to capture amazing candids and fun behind the scene moments. Communication with them was a breeze and they are overall such wonderful people to work with. They captured our day perfectly and made us feel like we were back in those moments while looking at our photos (and these are only the sneak peeks so far!!). Jes & Chris.. what an amazing couple!! My husband and I wouldn’t have wanted anyone else to capture our special day! Not only just our wedding, but when my husband proposed, our engagement session leading up to the wedding, and our wedding. They are so sweet and make it so easy to take pictures (specially for someone like me that gets nervous and awkward! 😂). My husband and I are so grateful to Jes and Chris for capturing our Lake Wallenpaupack elopement! We were so glad to be able to add an engagement photo shoot as part of our package and knew we picked the two best people to capture our wedding after seeing our natural and beautiful engagement photos. Working with Jes and Chris was absolutely wonderful from the very beginning. After our initial phone call with them we knew that they would be great to work with because they answered all of our questions and made us feel very comfortable talking about a topic we didn't know much about. From there, we booked our engagement shoot in our hometown and Jes and Chris took the time to scout out perfect locations even though they never visited the area before. The photos came out in a timely manner and we were able to use them for our save the date. Jes & Chris were amazing!!! I would recommend them to everyone I know and then some. From our engagement shoot to our wedding day the communication was fast, helpful, and easy. We got our sneak peek pictures back today from our wedding and I am amazed at how they came out. Both our wedding and engagement pictures are amazing. My husband and I just got married last Wednesday (Sept 7th) and we couldn't be happier that we chose Hand and Arrow Photography to capture all of the memories of our special day! Jess and Chris are seriously the BEST photographers ever! Both my husband and I are pretty shy people and don't really feel comfortable being in front of a camera. We were referred to Jes and Chris by a coworker friend and used them for both our engagement and wedding photos. They bring such warm, positive energy to every interaction, and guided clueless us through every stage of the process. Our engagement photos were done at a unique space that required advanced booking, which they took care of on their end completely. They weren't at all intrusive during the wedding and reception, which enabled them to get some amazing candid shots throughout the day. As a team, they were able to get lots of complementary photos in different spaces, which was so important because my husband and I didn't see each other before the ceremony. We found Hand and Arrow through our venue's recommended vendor list and we are so happy that we did! Jes and Chris were prompt in communicating, knowledgeable and helpful with our timeline, and our guests were pleasantly shocked at how they seemed to be everywhere but also so stealthy - capturing so many moments that we wouldn't have seen otherwise. We did our engagement pictures with them and that was the first time we noticed how prompt they were with returning our pictures. We got married on July 2nd and within four days we had 165 pictures for our sneak peek, and on the 24th we got our entire wedding album!

Our wedding day was shot by Hand and Arrow's associate photographer, Laurie. She was AWESOME! Prior to the day of the wedding, Jes, Chris, and Laurie were super on top of it -- they use a very organized platform for messaging, scheduling, and billing, and they always responded promptly to our messages. They were all super helpful for planning our wedding day. On the day of the wedding, I was a bit of a nervous wreck and Laurie really helped to calm my nerves and reassure me that everything was going ok. All my guests loved Laurie, and she captured such beautiful and candid moments that reflect the personalities of us and our guests. Not to mention the sneak peek of photos delivered a couple days after the wedding included 140 photos! It is so nice to have so many photos already!

Jes and Chris were the best decision we made for our wedding. We met them a little over a year ago when we did our engagement session and they couldn’t have been easier to work with. We hired Jes and Chris back in January of 2019 – not knowing just how long our wedding planning process would be. While 2020 had it’s many twists and turns, Jes and Chris were extremely flexible with our rescheduling along the way. When we postponed our original wedding ceremony, we decided to elope in the meantime. We still wanted photos of this special day and they were more than helpful in capturing it. My wife and I hired Hand and Arrow Photography to capture our very private and personal elopement, and we could not have been happier that we decided to go with them! We always wanted to have a big crazy wedding with lots of friends and family members in attendance but, because of all the craziness going on in the world recently, we decided it was best to simply elope in a private and intimate ceremony. Since our friends and family were unable to attend, we wanted to hire photographers who could capture the day in such a way that, when they looked through the photos, they would feel as if they were right there with us, and Hand & Arrow Photography nailed it. As photographers, Jes and Chris are simply on another level in terms of skill and creativity. From the first moment we met them, they were professional, punctual, courteous, thoughtful, upbeat, and extremely innovative with their approach to photographing our wedding. We were staying at the Glasbern Inn in Fogelsville, PA, where our ceremony was to take place, and on the day of the wedding we were as nervous as we were excited. But the moment Jes and Chris arrived, the mood shifted from tension to ease, and they wasted no time diving into our world to capture the intricacies of each and every beautiful moment. Jes spent the afternoon with my wife, taking wonderful pictures of her preparing for the ceremony, getting her hair and makeup and dress ready, while Chris shadowed me and captured my point of view of the moments leading up the wedding. Their professionalism and experience began to shine quite quickly as they snapped amazing pics of the behind-the-scenes of the wedding, but in a very relaxed and easy-going way. It honestly felt more like I was hanging out with old friends rather than photographers we just hired and never met before. They are pros, plain and simple. They captured the most intimate moments with ease, and I never felt any pressure to look or act or stand or smile or pose in a certain way. We rode the excitement into the post-ceremony portraits, which was some of the most fun I’ve ever had in my life. The energy was high and, while my wife and I were soaking in the fresh feeling of being married, Jes and Chris were taking what turned out to be some of the most beautiful and stunning pictures I’ve ever seen. As we were posing and laughing and enjoying the newlywed vibes, Jes and Chris were diligently creating masterful portraits that perfectly encapsulated the amazing afternoon that was my wedding. After the festivities, they were able to quickly send us back some “sneak peaks” of the wedding a day or so later and we were in awe. The scenery, the excitement, the love, and the overall atmosphere were all perfectly captured in a way we never thought possible. They nailed it. We got to spend our elopement day getting married at the cutest cabin in Luray, VA and hiking the Appalachian Trail through what looked like Narnia (on a trail Jes and Chris found for us) to get some insane mountain top photos. They made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera and captured such genuine moments that let our personalities shine through. Our elopement day truly was the best day ever and completely surpassed anything we could have ever dreamed of. It all simply would not have been possible without the help of Jes and Chris. The day they helped us make possible and the photos they captured (which are so gorgeous they left us speechless) are memories we will cherish forever. Where to begin with these guys?! You NEED to hire Jes + Chris for your special event! They are a dream team, the nicest, most down to earth people, and stellar photographers! I cannot say enough wonderful things about them! We found Jes + Chris online, and from day one of talking to them, we knew we had found our photographers. We trust them completely! Every single email was detailed and professional, EXTREMELY helpful and super friendly! Working with them was like working with friends! They sent so much useful information about planning a wedding + elopement and they had so many wonderful tips and tricks that they’ve picked up over the years. Also, planning anything during a global pandemic is stressful- they handled it like pros!! For our engagement pictures, they made us feel so comfortable and we spent the whole day laughing together. (I highly recommend booking an engagement shoot before your wedding so you can meet them and also get used to getting your picture taken...we are awkward turtles and we definitely needed the warmup!) They also roll with the punches! We had planned an Airbnb elopement in the Poconos- at the last second we had to change our plans and host our ceremony at my parents house...they didn’t miss a beat, jumped on board with the new plan, and immediately helped plan out some day-of photo ops! And on wedding day, they were a DREAM to work with! They have a vision and they know how to execute it flawlessly! And of course, their pictures are gorgeous! They sent us some sneak peeks the day after our wedding and we are just blown away. We cannot wait to see more! I want to print every single picture, frame them, and fill an entire house with them!! Seriously, you need to hire them, you will not regret it!!!!

Jes and Chris were excellent photographers and completely captured mine and my fiance's personalities for our engagement shoot. I'm always a little nervous that professional photos will feel awkward and look super staged or corny. Jes and Chris made the entire experience comfortable and fun. We didn't feel awkward at all and the results were amazing! We can't wait to use our photos for our Save the Dates and wedding website. The only reason we're not using them as our wedding photographers is because we're having a destination wedding. If we were getting married in the area Hand and Arrow would be our top choice for our wedding photographers.

We found Jes and Chris about a year and a half before our wedding, thankfully early enough in the planning journey to be able to book them! We knew instantly just by looking at their website that they encompassed the perfect style of photography that we had been hoping to find for our wedding. After our brief introduction phone call with the 2 of them, we just knew they were the perfect fit for us. Jes and Chris are a magical power couple! First we had our engagement shoot in Philly back in October of 2018, followed by months of planning and plenty of open communication and then finally, our big day in Bethlehem, PA just this past October (2019). We could not have chosen a better couple to master our wedding photos. We literally loved every second spent with Jes and Chris. During our entire wedding day (we chose their full day wedding package so they were with us from early morning until 10pm!), Jes stuck with me and my bridesmaids while Chris was with my husband and his groomsmen. They both have such an amazing and collaborative style, they captured every ounce of the "moody" style we were going for, every little detail and every special moment that took place through out the day. The story of our wedding day is now able to be told through the photos that Hand and Arrow flawlessly created for us. Jes and Chris knew exactly which breathtaking scenery and angles would make for the perfect photos. They were able to organically capture our ring bearers and flower girls (our neices and nephews ranging from age 1-10) which was extremely important to us. They made us feel so unbelievably comfortable all day long and they even laughed with us during every goofy moment of the day. We used Jes and Chris for our wedding in August, and they went above and beyond expectations. The pre-wedding process was smooth and seamless. They offered wonderful suggestions, created a wedding timeline for us, and were very organized. On the wedding day they came right on time, and made all of us feel so beautiful and comfortable. Everything was perfectly timed. Nothing ran behind! And the photos came out perfect. They captured the magic, love and laughter of the event. Jes and Chris are an unbelievably talented husband and wife team. When I first looked at their portfolio, I knew they would be the perfect wedding day photographers. At the engagement shoot they made us so comfortable behind the camera and took such beautiful and unique photos. On the day of the wedding, they made every photo taken feel organic and look natural. Although it rained that evening, they still found a way to take breathtaking photos, and did not take us away from enjoying too much ceremony time. Additionally, they offered a time line for the wedding day and continuously offered help with other vendor info, first look locations, etc. They are such kind, talented and professional photographers and my husband and I look forward to working with them in the future!

It was really hard for us to find a photographer for our short notice micro wedding on a Monday, but Jes made us an awesome custom package at a fair price. I honestly couldn’t believe they were in our price range after I found their Instagram, their photos are absolutely stunning! They’re also just the nicest people! They made us feel really comfortable on our wedding day. We’ve been talking about doing a casual session with them in the future since our last minute wedding didn’t leave us any time for engagement photos.

Jes and Chris were absolutely awesome! They made our wedding pictures absolutely amazing and I am so lucky to have these memories for the rest of our lives. Jes & Chris were such a pleasure to work with through our wedding preparation and celebration. We first met with them for the engagement photo shoot which was held in a Christmas tree farm. The photos from the engagement shoot came out perfect thanks to their easy to follow directions and guidance. On the day of our wedding, they arrived early to preview the ceremony and reception grounds and identify the best locations to take pictures. Jes & Chris helped direct us to the best areas and made sure we covered all of the moments we wanted recorded. They stayed with us the entire day from our preparations through to the end of the night. Having Jes and Chris was one of, if not the best decision we made in the entirety of our wedding planning. As I am sure most couples feel, the photographs of our wedding day was one of our highest priorities and Hand and Arrow Photography ended up being the second vendor we booked right after our venue itself. We were looking for someone who could not only capture our special moments without focusing on formal and posed pictures, but who could also capture the minute details of every personal touch we put into our wedding. Jes and Chris nailed this in every way possible. Also noteworthy is that they were both up for any crazy idea or adventure for both our engagement photos along with our wedding day first look and bride and groom photos. Any question we had, Jes was quick to answer within a few hours via email and they arrived promptly and organized the day of the wedding. I also have to add that I absolutely hate pictures being taken of me, but they both made us feel comfortable and relaxed, which shone through with every image. I had an exact vision of what I was hoping for in our first look photos/bride and groom photos and Jes and Chris were able to interpret and produce that vision even better than what I expected! The editing and delivery of the photos for both our engagement and wedding day was quicker than we anticipated and every image was sincerely beautiful. We will certainly be using Hand and Arrow again for any anniversary or future family photographs and be recommending them to anyone who may be searching. Photography was very important to me for our wedding day, and I spent a lot of time looking at different portfolios trying to find someone who checked all those boxes for me. Jes & Chris are a wonderful husband and wife photography team, and we loved working with them for our recent engagement photo session. They check off all the professional criteria (prompt email responses, solid quotes/contracts, previous experience, timeline guidance) but are also just great to spend a day with. My fiancé and I are pretty awkward, but Jes and Chris had us feeling like models after our engagement photo session. Not only did we like them as people, but we also adore the photos. I have easily never had a better photo of me, and they really captured us and the attractive version of us even! I've received so many compliments about the engagement photos and the style of them. I saw a lot of "bright and clean" wedding photos during my search, but I was attracted to Hand & Arrow's more soft and romantic editing style. They also helped pose us with some suggestions but were always capturing true candid moments. We have a little under a year to go until we get to have them photograph our wedding, but I am supremely confident about the quality of our wedding photos based on our engagement photo session. We're not only excited for our wedding, but to see Jes & Chris again for another fun day! PS: They were one of the few wedding photography vendors to be upfront and transparent about their pricing on their website, saving us both time in figuring out if they would be able to work for us. However, they were more than accommodating in putting together a custom quote ahead of our Skype "interview."
