Hands is an Iowa City Institution and for good reason. They are knowledgeable and kind. They did a great job helping my husband pick out the perfect engagement ring and have also been great when I accidentally damaged my ring and later in helping us get appraisals for other jewelry. I highly recommend them!
To give Hands Jewelers only 5 stars feels unfair. The quality of service matched their quality of product without a doubt. There was no question we would go to Hands when purchasing engagement and wedding rings, but I was not prepared for how amazing the experience would be. From the second we walked through the door we were welcomed so warmly. Linda helped us narrow down what style of engagement ring we would want and then we met with Charlie. The entire staff is incredible and Charlie is superb. We met with Charlie at least five times to pick out the perfect diamond. When we thought we had chosen one, we ended up changing our mind. We felt so bad telling Charlie we needed to look again and he made it his mission to go out and find the PERFECT diamond just for us. He emailed me pictures of the ring, stayed in touch with my fiance through the whole process and was so flexible on timing of payment. Charlie loves what he does and cares for every person that walks through that door. I highly HIGHLY recommend Hands Jewelers. They will forever be our jeweler even if we move out of the area.
We worked with Charlie in picking out my engagement ring and wedding band and could not recommend him more! We went to many different jewelers in the area and he was the only one who was able to understand what we were looking for and custom make the ring of my dreams. He is very knowledgeable and trustworthy. I get so many compliments on how sparkly my diamond is, which goes to show how selective they are with the quality of diamonds.

I wanted a specific Micheal M ring and Hands was 1 of only 2 stores in Iowa that carried his line. Staff is wonderful to work with and store is nice and intimate. Absolutely love my ring from there! They guided my husband through the whole diamond buying process. Only wish my ring could've been made faster.
